Guest Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 We just did Rocky last night:smile: at the mayflower. WOW what fun and that was only just the show. Four of us went Chris, her younger daughter and one of her friends (also female). In general the audience was 80%+ female (genetic) with more than half dressed up with some fantastic legs, bodies and HEELS. As for the guys a few Rockies, a mix of Eddies, RifRaf and "guests" (to give them a name) several Frankies of which did look better than some that have got on the web during this tour, some with heels far oversize and many in very common flat male boots. Some of the Rifs' and "guests" got into heels but not all. Some were playing total straight, some suit jackets/shirts with fishnets but that is all what Frankie is all about. I dressed more subdued and more formal, Shirt, jacket, matched a skirt in a very similar material, plain tights and my YSL copies. The kids loved it "cool" Chris described me as a strict school ma'am (mine never had <6" heels) I handled the walk to and from the theatre better than the 3 girls and felt fully at ease. Chris was also quite comfortable with me only the height get to her but that seems normal. Although I wasn't looking for reactions I did pick up some positive looks of approval even "wow and those heels" as I passed a couple of girls during the interval. Although skirts is not my "thing" it worked and I wont say never! A fantastic night and a brill heely session, very in the public. A confidence boost - Yes of course! A picture or two to follow, I just need to adjust it to give some contrast blackberries aren't wonderful cameras. Al
pussyinboots Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I've done it twice before and it's just the best fun I've had! "Good Girls keep diaries....Bad Girls just don't have the time...!:icon_twisted:"

Elegant Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Very elegant combination! I love it. Pity that the quality is low... if you have a chance to take better pictures, go for it! What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!
Histiletto Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 It has been a long while since "The Rocky Horror Show" has been shown in any of the theaters or play houses in this area. I regret that I didn't go and participate when it was available. If ever the chance comes around again, you can be assured I will be there for the associated traditional festivities.
Dawn HH Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Alsheels:-) A great outfit for you and a good time was had by all. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!

chris100575 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 My OH and I are looking at going to the Rocky Horror when it comes up North. I've not decided what I'm wearing yet, Frank's out as I'm going to feel far too exposed with just a pair of knicks protecting my gentleman's area! If I can find a reasonably priced French maid's dress I could go as Magenta, as I already have suitable boots and could probably cheat and wear tights instead of stockings.

Have you ever seen 'Hedwig and The Angry Inch'?? It's along similar lines...not a Horror story....but definitely an opportunity to dress up! The music is wonderful too. It was originally a stage musical...and was made into a film in 2001....here's a link to the background info': http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0248845/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedwig_and_the_Angry_Inch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedwig_and_the_Angry_Inch_(film) This is the UK Website: http://www.hedwigandtheangryinch.co.uk/ ...and here's some photos: http://www.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=hedwig+and+the+angry+inch&rlz=1W1RNTN_en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=PNYATNjeBI_80wSzrZX3Ag&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CD0QsAQwAw "Good Girls keep diaries....Bad Girls just don't have the time...!:icon_twisted:"
