Hi Sarah Welcome to hhplace, hope you enjoy the website and the many new friends your about to make... Out of interest, can I ask why you use the term "partner"? I dont mean to be nosey, I'm just curious as to the reasons for people using such a bland and generic term for describing people very close and/or intimate to them ;-) Look forward to hearing more and picking your brains...

When I hear unqualified partner I have come to assume it means "life" partner or "same-sex" partner. Someone not familiar with the vernacular might assume it means something else. I don't think it hurts to ask for a clarification though.

Thats what I mean, I know exactly what people mean when they say it, I'm more curious as to why people refer to other people who are meant to be close to them in such a generic and/or bland and non-descriptive way?? I'm not trying to offend, am just curious...
