chris100575 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 This has been on here a few times before and I've always thought that I'd join in if there was one in the UK. I reckon I could do a mile easily enough. Aside from the fact that it'd be fun and a great way to get out in some of my more feminine heels it's a really good cause. Chris
euchrid Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Yep, I'd also do it myself like a shot. I reckon the entire UK HHP membership would be there. Unfortunately, it might also draw a large proportion of TV's, CD's & drag queens (closet or otherwise) and thus undermine the event in terms of it being for charity and for just 'men' in heels. The linked article is also pretty scathing about the whole thing. Perhaps Kevin Fischer 'doth protest too much'! Always High-Heel Responsibly
ShockQueen Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 If they ever had such an event here in Montana, I'd be in it in a cold second - for both the cause, and an excuse to go on a heeling excursion! :-) SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
hjt101 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Just looked up their website. They have them all over the place, in North America anyways. Check it out. http://www.walkamileinhershoes.org/ Proudly standing in my patent High Heels

TooTall Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 It's a lot of fun. I went on one last year, and thanks to my wife's coaching and a very nice pair of heels, I did the mile with no discomfort, no stumbles, and actually loved the way they feel. And here I am.
Guy N. Heels Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Well, what with a collapsed spine and all, I don't know if I could actually do a mile - perhaps if I went with a cane and some of my better plats. Keep on stepping, Guy N. Heels
