  1. We went to Cape Town the last two weeks and yes I did some shoe shopping. Got myself a pair of nice low heel boots that I can wear out with my fine lady, and yes wait for it got myself a pair of High heel pumps from YDE a canvas greenish colour and yes they have pink soles. I will take a pic and put them on later.

  2. Hi Guys

Thoughtg I'd show my new Zoom platform heels. Size 8 and very very comfortable. I would like a pair in hidden platform also with peeptoe. Still looking however.

(As gift to myself, also got my left nipple pierced today. Wanted t wear my heels, bought thought it was pushing it a bit. )

    I love the heels

  3. OK, I've really exceeded my modest shoe budget, but I couldn't resist these brown wedge sandals ( brown wedges2.jpg ) that were half-price at £12. I tried on lots of other styles while I was in the store, and while I was trying on a pair of high-heeled shoe-boots I even got my first comment from another shopper who said "those heels look great!" as I was checking them out in the mirror. I smiled and thanked her and checked out what she was trying on - a pair of gold wedge sandals which looked fabulous on her and I told her so.

Anyway, after I bought my brown wedge sandals and left the store, I was feeling adventurous and it was far too sunny a day to be stuck in boring socks and trainers, so I found a quiet corner to change into my wedges (I was already wearing my bootcut jeans and an open shirt over a t-shirt, all womenswear) and went to a nearby cafe. I ordered a coffee to drink in and found a seat where I stayed for half an hour, drinking my coffee, reading my book, and wearing my heels. I think maybe one other customer, a young lady sat diagonally opposite me, must have noticed my shoes. She was wearing flats, which got me wondering what she was thinking when she saw my sandals... optimistically I'd like to hope that I presented myself well enough that she might have thought "I'm going to wear my heels tomorrow" but perhaps that's just wishful thinking.

    I just love the wedges.

  4. Hello everybody. I am one of the lucky ones, my wife is ok with me wearing heels around the house and has even gone with me to shop for them. However i can't find any nice shoes in my size locally but of course she can. I am so say the least very jealous. I wear 12-13US womans shoes and there just arn't a lot of options any help.

Hi there I am lucky as well as my pretty lady goes with me and we buy for us both as we wear the same size shoe, a UK 8

  5. I know this is a really late reply but I am sort of new and have only read a really small number of the stories here.

I checked this twice before replying but are you actually 64 and still into wearing heels?

And you walk 4 kilometers in heels? omg ... I love wearing heels and try to think of places to wear them all the time but 4 kilometers is long walk in heels.

    Christine.

Hi there Christine. Yes I am 64 but feel 50 and enjoying walking in HHS and I have my pretty lady's ok to wear them. We go out and buy heeels together and today we got me a pair of low heel boots to wear out with her, I also have some other heels 4" that I wear out with her. Between the two of us we have about 60 pair of heels and boots and we wear the same size shoe. Yes I did walk 4 kms in stillettos and I am going to walk again in Nov this year. I just wish that some of the SA HEELERS are going to walk with me.

  6. Hi CRabbit.

Welcome to our Home away from Home.

I decided after 6months of heeling in secret to tell my wife of 35 years of my new enjoyment. I could never find shoes to fit in South Africa, Finaly the internet.

I thought i would have some opposition, But it nearly led to devorce.

I handled it like a twit by appearing in front of her one evening wearing 5" stilettos.

1 year a lot of love lots of squabbles, more fights, More love lots of TLC more attention etc, and i was told that i could wear them when i give her a massage or foot rub etc.

Tit for tat I believe it is called. I also had to promise that the children that live in Scotland and New zealand, the family the maid none of the neighbours etc may ever know, and now I may wear them in the house or when I am driving.(That is always a rush as she can't drive in heels)

She basically still does not really like it but realised that it won't effect our relationship, and I love heeling.

What I am saying is take it realy slow. Have patience and in time the most unlikely things may come true.

Untill then, enjoy what you have and specially the love of your family.

Hi there as we were tslking, I am glad that it turned out not fully the way you wanted it, but a least you can wear them again.

Do share some pics with us.

  7. Hi there here in South Africa we have the Yearly Sisters with Blisters( Abuse against woman and Children) I did walk the 4km in stillettos with much comfort. Had a toe that was bleeding but it was fun not many men though. I believe they colected something like over $40.000 . Check my blog, and gallery. By the way the Heels I was wearing was donated to me by Plum.com.es I am going to walk again in November. Just wish I can get some SA Heelers to walk with me. Enjoy the walk all of you. Jay Jay

  8. She will wear them with her White kick flare jeans and an appropriately coloured top to match the colour in the shoes, of course she has mentioned she may need to buy new tops that are exact matches of the beige and blue colours in the shoes.

she also has a blue denim pencil skirt to go with the blue pair.

For info, they are on sale at most New Look shops at the moment up to UK size 8 for £25.

WOW WOW I love all of them especially the first pair. How does she find them. I want some myself and are going to try and get me apair.

    Regards jay jay

The reactions I've had have been mixed. The local Woolies has been very good, I've actually had 1 or 2 pleasant comments with their cashiers. But otherwise it's been very much the same as yours - they look at you as if you have a problem. I did have very good experince when buying my Hush Puppies - the staff was at first surprised but in the end very helpful & friendly. I'll write a full post on my experience over the weekend.

I must agree with you the cashiers at Woolies are most helpfull, I think they think we are buying it for our ladies. That is with me as we wear the same size shoe a SA 8.

  10. WOW, I will go and see if ALDO here with us have some. I Love the first and the last ones. Unfortunately here with us, we men have not got so far to try them on as the sales ladies are not very helpfull, they look at you when you are looking at the shoes, if you are mad. As I said before my lady and I wear the same size shoe and at the moment she tries them on and decide if they are comfortable or not. But one day I am going to put my pride in my pocket and try them on in the store and see what is going to be their reactions. Any comments from the other SA HJeelers.

  11. Just got these wedge sandals from Spring Shoes.

The heel is 3½" with a ¼" platform.

They were so comfortable that I wore them out of the store.

Still wearing them now and I think I will keep them while going to bed

(I normally don't wear heels to bed but this time will be an exception...)

    Happy heeling all !

    WOW love them to bits.

  12. I do not know it any one have noticed it, but ever since I started loving HHS, I am noticing more and more woman do not remove the stickers, that the shop put on under the shoes. This is so noticeable because if you walk behind them the sticker show with every step she takes, especially with any High Heels.

That is the first thing I do when we buy shoes, I remove all the stickers they stick on under the shoes.:mecry::D
