OK...this is to answer Hiluc's question. I think we wear exactly the same size because a 40 1/2 would be the best fit for me. So the lenght of those boots would be ok for you as well but the point is how wide your feet are.

I have quite slim feet, ankle and calf and I was fighting a bit to get into the boots, once in I had quite some room for my toes to move a little.

Anyway, if you're still interested, I can visit some shops I know they have that brand of shoes, looking for a 41 or a 42. If you decide to take the risk, I would be pleased to buy and send the boots for you. hope this answer your questions. Steph

Hi Steph, this sounds very promissing. I also think I have narrow calves and ankles as you can compare by looking at a picture of my lower legs (in "oh horror" flat beach sandals)

I sometimes have problems with the slightly high upper arches of my feet to get into narrow boots if the zipper doesn't open wide enough at the bottom but I think your boots are stretch pull ons, is that correct? In this picture of my foot in a narrow Italian bought size 40 stretch boot you can see that little hump on top of my arch (and also my little toe pushing outward on the pointy toe box and how narrow my ankles and calves are).

Maybe you can also look on my website and find a shoe type or brand both of us have and check the size to compare with yours. With all the previous information, pictures and feel in your boots you should be able to guess what fits better for me, 41 or 42. I hope they still will have a pair in the store but I would much prefer the black ones instead of the jeans ones. If they have them, don't hesitate to buy them for me (either size as long as they might about fit), I'll send the money including shipping costs next week.

No the boots are in made made materials, they would cost a lot more if they were made of leather. Doesn't matter by the way, I like them and are really comfortable.

Italy is definitely a good place to buy shoes and is not too far Hiluc...you can always come back for a visit. or could be the next destination for a Euro meet...

The more I look at your boots, the more I wish they were mine. Could you tell me how roomy they are because I think my feet are slightly larger as yours as I usually need 40,5 to be completely at ease, and I know the Italian sizes run small. Nice classy style Steph, welcome aboard, I also wear the same size as you and have bought and worn nice heels in Italy as well. I've been about 6 months in the Vicenza area in 2001 and as you can read on my website had no problem at all wearing heels there.

That French speaking guy of course didn't shout faggot but all kind of expressions in french including some high pitched "mademoiselle" (young lady?). Being stuck in the traffic it lasted quite a while but most of the people around apparently were more surprized about the guys attitude and remarks instead of our heeled footwear. It is therefore easier to drive in such heels if you are seated in a near normal position, at least 12" above the floor of the vehicle. When seated virtually on the floor of the car the driving position makes it more difficult to control the car in heels. I'm not surprised most people can't see my point. You'd probably have to experience the driving position I'm talking about to realise how difficult it is. I'm just saying that the driving position determines how easy it is, and therefore some cars will be easier to drive in heels than others.

OK, sorry, overlooked that but on the other hand I don't think real fetish heels should be used for driving (or shopping etc). This thread also isn't only about fetish but also comprises very high heels. In the early 70's I always drove my Opel GT (very flat leg position) with 15cm (block) heeled and 5cm platformed shoes and boots so this small guy could drive with the arms stretched (yeah yeah showing off) and still reach the pedals. In that time everybody wore such shoes (Abba times) and they were not considered fetish. My 1966 Triumph Spitfire Mk2 certainly has a very low driving position and very narrow pedals but I never had any trouble driving it with heels, even stilettos these last years.

Some cars will always be easier to drive as others and that's one of the reasons I now have a Lexus GS300 with automatic electrical retracting and upward tilting steering wheel for easy access, and 2 widely spaced pedals (automatic gearbox) in order to accomodate even my widest (Hex) platforms. The design might not be fetish but technically they pose even bigger problems as narrow shoes.

Well Heelsfan, its not easy for me to remember a bad reaction because it's been a while since I got one and because I don't care I tend to forget such things. The latest good one was just half an hour ago when I heard the tune of the ice cream truck in my street. The sunny breaks between the showers still tempted me in an ice cream and after finally finding my wallet I rushed out the door as quick as my tight jeans skirt and matching thong platforms allowed me.

The truck already had rounded off the dead end and was outbound again but some franatical waving on my part caught her attention and after a 180 turn she headed back and stopped in front of my door. While serving me my ice cream (topped off with whip cream yum yum) she casually asked me where I usually bought my shoes. I answered I had these shipped from the USA and that surprised her more than a bit. She then said she often had wondered where all the various styles she saw me in came from because she liked most of them and also asked my size. I told her 40-41 and asked if she had internet access. After she said yes I told her she could see my whole collection on line and she gave me a paper to note the URL after she heard I usually mentioned the place I purchased each style displayed. She thanked me and seemed excited to check my website as soon as she finished work. She (a 30 year old girl) waved at me when leaving and I felt a very happy man again walking back to my porch in my "unique" footwear.

I'm sure I had better reactions before but this just happened and I thought you might be interested.

I just remember a (little) bad one as well, less than a year ago when Xaphod, Calv, (and maybe Lion and/or the creator of this board) were heeling around in the old part of Brussels, we crossed a cobble stone street and out of the driver window of a van that slowed down a young french speaking guy shouted so the rest of the street could hear it that we were faggots. We just pursued our direction to the adjacent window of a shoe store and didn't react but I still remember Xaphod mentioning that was very courageous of that guy, because the 4 (or 5) of us could easely have turned around and beat the s... of his little white van, maybe even turning him on the side. Besides our heels we all wore normal male attire. In fact this was more fun than ennoying and shouldn't be counted as bad experience.

How about this combination? A lot more exciting than Birkenstocks under Levis jeans, both to look at and certainly to wear. Sometimes practicality should be alternated with pure pleasure (or some challenge), just for the sake (and pleasure) of some sensations in our too easy life.

Just typing this wearing my much taken in knee length jeans skirt altered to my desires by the seamstress last week. O now don't have to care as much how I keep my legs when sitting down because the narrow opening at my knees doesn't allow any more glimpses up my skirt, the confined feeling just adds to the pleasure and tactile feedback of wearing a skirt, while the freedom below the knees still allows sufficient movement (albeit with a different technique) for doing most activities but with much better cooling of the legs. With such built in restriction by the skirt it doesn(t matter anymore wearing heels or not because they are not the limiting factor anymore. They just make the outfit look smarter and the legs longer and your overall figure more slender. Try it, you'll like it (once in a while).

Once you get used to wearing heels all the time driving becomes just as natural as walking or any other activities. I never stood still at the techical aspect of what exactly flexes or rotates at my ankles to operate car pedals, I just did it without even thinking. To be honest I should specify most of my heels fall into the normal instead of fetish category (see my website).

Hi Sohoboot, when I read your thread both worst and best reactions are more of a non-event than anything else. The reactions were really yours, not from the others which proves wearing what you like in public is no problem at all and doesn't affect your social life. Which proves what I always said; as long as it looks good and coordinated people will accept it (if they even care at all).

For me they would need a more pronounced arch curve, thes ski jump type elevated shoes don't support my lower arches sufficiently and therefore create too much pressure at the heel and ball of the foot, inducing an uncomfortable feeling after a while. Conclusion: nice style but back to the drawing boards for a better commercial product.

Good weather so I choose my lined dress with back zipper and my Sacha sandals. I still am thankful to Julietta for pointing those out to me and after a few hours training to get used to walking on such minimal restraint straps (barely holding the sandals in the correct postition below your feet) I now even dare to wear them on the streets, but not on cobblestones yet.

I agree shaving is a lot faster but after a few hours the hair is visible again and next day I already feel like a porcupine. I prefer taking the extra time and pain so I look clean and soft for about 3 days.

I also like to have a clean hairless body. While shaving just gets the hairs thicker, laser is not effective because of my majority of white hairs (and the exorbitant price), aznd I don't like to apply chemicals on my skin, I resorted to a very satisfying option of using an electric depilator called Silk-epil by Brown. That one can be obtained with a "training head" and some coolant applicators to help you withstand the agonising pain the first times. After just a few weeks it doesn't hurt anymore and I can keep my whole body (except for my few haidhairs) clean by using this depilator twice a week during about 2 hours. I even use it between my legs and under my armpits. I just use a razorblade around my testicels to finish the job. I've been doing that since 6 months and am very satisfied about the results. Initially it took me much longer of course but now the hairs grew sparser and thinner so with time it becomes an easy and practical solution. Mind you the first times it hurts like hell and takes forever, but once past the first 2 weeks when your skin gets used to it, you can use the regular head and forget about the cool patches. After a month you hardly feel anything anymore besides mild pulling on some more delicate areas like the inner and back thighs, under the armpits and on the breasts. Anybody else using that method?
