Or is there an echo in here?

Whatever happened to that "Worst idea of a ladies' shoe" thread? It was hilarious!

I think I had a post in here at one time but it went to the "bit-bucket" in the big hack. I have three vehicles: 1993 Chevy S-10 extended cab 4X4 short-box pickup (winter "beater"). 2001 GMC Sonoma extended cab 4X4 short-box pickup (summer truck). 1984 Honda Goldwing Interstate 1200 (for fun).

Articles like this bring a certain quote to mind. It's a little macabre but it comes to mind nevertheless. "We need more people like that. Then we'd have less people like that." Be careful out there :-) .

I can just imagine those boots in some futuristic spaceship movie! They are interesting though.

I think every one of us heelers is fine-tuned to that amazing sound of heels hitting a hard surface. We can hear 'em a mile away! (. . .and that sound is like music to us!)

I like a Western style or plain boot with a block type heel -- for both myself and outside wear. (Some people use the word "chunky" when referring to this type of heel but I prefer to call them "block heels".) You can "get away" with these fairly easily most anywhere. I almost never find boots I like in regular stores, it is a continuous ongoing search to find styles I like. Mostly I conduct my search online because I can do a whole lot more looking in far less time that way.

Back to the subject at hand after the rude interruption of Smiley the Spammer. I agree, maintaining one's concentration when you hear the magic sound of a pair of heels is a phenomenal exercise in self-control. But when you are with that someone special, you owe it to that person to keep your mind on what is important! If nothing else, it is a matter of simple respect.
