  1. I agree with everybody! Stable stiletto heels are sexy. Wobbly heels are sexy. Inward lean is sexy. "Catwalk flip" (flipping your heel into an inward lean at the end of each stride) is sexy. The only things that are not sexy are a) an outward lean, and :rocker: the dreaded flatties! Cheers, Heelfan

  2. Hi Secreto! I do so much hope that negative experience doesn't put you off the further delights of street-heeling! I'm very surprised at the reactions that you received, because those of us who often streetheel along Oxford Street (sometimes individually and sometim es in numbers of ten to twenty at the Heelmeets, and usually in more spectacular heels than your mid-height wedges) have in recent years been getting increasingly less negative reactions, and increasingly more positive and encouraging positive reactions - even people enthusing about our shoes/boots and asking where we got them. Sadly, I think you just had bad luck on the day - but keep it up, whatever you do! Cheers, Heelfan

  3. My constructive comments: 1. Although we met outside a shop on that Oxford Heelmeet 2 or 3 years ago (my very first of many UK Heelmeets!), I think our more recent practice of meeting in a coffee bar such as Starbucks is much better, so we can sit and sip whilst people arrive. 2. Chris - for your "Oop North" meet idea, I suggest this would be better persued by you starting your own thread here on "Real Life Meetings" giving your suggested town, date, etc., rather than continuing on this Oxford meet thread. I'm sure it would take off with Daz and all the other members oop north! Cheers, Heelfan

  4. No, of course it's not a big deal. However, without it being very important, mayble such shots would be better posted in "Your Favourite Hiugh Heel Pictures" thread? Very nice shots, by the way! Cheers, Heelfan

  5. Hi everyone! Just posting to refresh this thread back up to the top of the heap. I started it in 2003, and sadly many of the picture hostings have gone, turning the pics into red xs. Anyway, the text information should still be helpful to one member who has just sent me a PM enquiry, and other new members might be interested too. Oh, and if this prompts any of you to start street-heeling, do come and show your new heels off at our forthcoming World Heel-Meet in London, 13th May 2006 - 14 definite attendees coming, plus ten possibles already! - see under the "Real Life Meetings thread. Cheers, Heelfan

  6. Hi all! Yes, a really great heel-meet in Cardiff! nine of us turned up: lorriette, a3 (who came all the way from Holland!), me (Heelfan), Calv, xaphod, FGWJON, Si, Heel-D and his lovely lady. Despite us always saying "Heels not compulsory", all nine of us spent the day in high heels, and several members treated us to a change-to-different-pair as the day went on. All (including me) seemed delighted with their purchases (January sales prices!) and we also found a very nice place for lunch. Perhaps the main highlight of the day happened in when Xaphod was trying-on his fawn-coloured boots with the very high wedge heels (see above photo) in the middle of Qube's showroom. A young man standing only a metre away from Xahod suddenly realised what was going on. Not only did his jaw drop open in sheer amazement, but he appeared totally hynotised by Xaphod's activities and stood rooted to the spot, nay transfixed for what seemed like a good ten minutes without taking his eyes off our amazing man in high heels! Even when the rest of us all gathered round, the poor chap couldn't snap out of his trance. I said to Loriette that the fellow seemed totally nonplussed. "More like completely withered" retorted Loriette. One or two of us finally said to the man "Why not join in and try some high heels yourself?", but he appeared to remain utterly speechless! Anyway, at various times in the day, we had various cheery glances and stares from passers-by, and and usual, most either didn't notice at all, or seemed very accepting. Not a single glare or nasty comment all day, so as we said after the recent London heel-meet, any shyguys who fancy street-heeling shouldn't have the slightest problem these days. As previously mentioned, Mel will soon be posting a date (probably early March) for the Bristol Heel-meet with a buffet meal at her Peachy Shoes. Happy heeling one and all! Cheers, Heelfan

  7. Thanks Heel-D - good news. So here's an update accordingly: SUMMARY OF CARDIFF HEEL-MEET: Just a helpful SUMMARY of the arrangements as distilled from Lorriette and a3 and the rest of us: DATE: Sat 14th JAN 2006 ASSEMBLY : 10.30 am to 11.00 am @ Starbucks Coffee House, 46-48 Queen Street, Cardiff, Wales, CF10 2BG (note: NOT the other Starbucks at the other end of Queen Street!) Queen Street is a main street in the central shopping area running Eastwards from the South-East corner of Cardiff Castle and isn't far from such car parks as the ones around the City Hall and City Art Gallery etc. LATECOMERS: Catch up with the group by phoning our mobiles: Heelfan: 07966 450583 or Xaphod: and find out our whereabouts. PROGRAMME: Having moved-off at 11 am, we normally stroll round the shoe shops, eat, drink and socialise at the odd pub or restaurant, and usually finish late afternoon or early evening to go our various way. (Does that suite you Firefox for getting back for your Sunday plans?). EXPECTED ATTENDERS: lorriette, a3, Heelfan, Calv, xaphod, FGWJON, Firefox and Heel-D. POSSIBLES: Dr. Shoe?, Nigel? (Apologies from Mel who has been unable to find a stand-in to staff her Peachy Shoes in Bristol). TIP: Bring a print-out of these arrangements with you! MORE WELCOME!!! (Heels nice but not compulsory!). Please post below to add your name if you are coming too! Cheers, Heelfan

  8. Firefox has got a good collection of shots from that Nov 05 London Heel-Meet, and he has promised to post them here. I'm also eagerly awaiting the pics. However, he's a very busy chap what with moderating three sites and a busy day job and all his other evening pursuits (whist and volleyball clubs etc.). Still, perhaps if we all ask you very nicely again FF? . . . . . . . Cheers, Heelfan

  10. Hi Everyone! Firstly a Happy New Year to you all and I hope you all had a merry and a heel-filled Christmas! Secondly, "Whoa there Y'all!". Let's keep this friendly instead of whizzing off into a mass of irrevelant provocative topics. I simply gave my own personal opinion - that it is nice when members adhere to the rules of the particular forum in question. Perhaps I should have quoted that definitive heading on Megaforums home page: "The place where all the people in the world who like high heels can come together and share their thoughts. Whether you're a man, a woman or in between, whether you wear high heels yourself or just like the looks of them. It doesn't matter, you've come to the right place. This site does not contain any nudity or pornographic material." They're not my words - they are simply the rules of Megaforums to which we are all (thank goodness) contributing. I'm only saying that I personally like what it says on the tin, and I like to find the same thing inside whenever I open it! Those (and they have existed) who think the "no nudity" stance is too puritanical can surely vote with their mouse and switch to the thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of sites which depict genitalia in huge abundance, or instead maybe try to coerce our Webmaster into an about-face? In the meantime, the last thing I wish to do is to start World War III, only simply to throw my humble little lot in with Megaforums policies as they now exist. I think it's a MARVELLOUS site - by far the best anywhere. To Ellen-Jay: Thanks for editting that 26 Nov pic of yours, and I'd just like to repeat that those red high heels were very nice indeed! To Daz: Well said! Pictures of guys in high heels are welcomed on these forums, as per the same Megaforums statement above. I hope that this has cheered everybody up for the New Year - enjoy your heels and the forums! Cheers, Heelfan

  11. Hi Loriette! With respect, perhaps meeting in a car park is not ideal a)because we might be wandering around a large area failing to find each other, B) because it might be tipping down with rain and c) we'd all have quite a trek to the shoe shops etc. Can I suggest meeting in Starbucks Coffee House, 46-48 Queen Street, Cardiff, Wales, CF10 2BG ? Queen Street is one of the main streets in Cardiff's central shopping area. It runs due East from the South-East corner of Cardiff Castle and isn't far from such car parks as the ones around the City Hall and City Art Gallery etc. We could assemble there between 10.30 and 11am, enjoying a coffee as we wait for everyone to arrive, and then we'd be on the doorstep for moving off and shoe-browsing, lunching and socialising. What do you think? Cheers, Heelfan

  12. The red shoes are fine, but in her picture of 26th November, does Ellen Jay have to subject us to a pair of naked breasts bulging down to her thighs? The home page of this High Heel Meeting Place clearly states "This site does not contain any nudity or pornography". That is what I normally like about these Megaforums - a nice sleaze-free site where we can admire nice high heels and high heel wearing without the all-to-prevalent tacky shots of boobs and genitals etc. and pseudo-bordello interiors. Give me a clean-cut street-shot of a nice well-dressed girl striding along in high stiletto heels any day! Notwithstanding this protestation, I am pleased that 99.9% of the posters on these forums do in fact respect the above policy on the home page. Cheers, Heelfan

  13. Yes Bristol Airport wouldn't be too bad for our Peachy Shoes Meet (when we announce the date) - a fifteen munute taxi ride. However, for the Cardiff Meet, it is well over an hour's drive from Cardiff, and much longer again by public transport. I think Cardiff airport is the only reasonable option for air travellers to Cardiff. Alternatively, any overseas visitors to London can get the train from Paddington to Cardiff (2 hours +) or the coach from Victoria Station or Heathrow Airport (3 Hours +). Cheers, Heelfan

  14. Without rivalling Bubba or Dawn (congratulations both!), I've just passed my 1500 milestone with my Christmas greeting to everyone, which I duplicate here: To the entire membership: Tidings of the season from me (Heelfan), and from my daughter Melanie at Peachy Shoes. Bristol. Mel is shutting up shop between 24 December and 2nd January and joining my wife and I for a merry and restful Christmas in our Wiltshire house. I do hope everyone else has a happy and restful time, and happy heeling! Cheers, Heelfan

  16. Speaking as a Heel-Meet organiser from the UK, why not Now think positive and plump for a day. place and time in San Francisco? Of course, anyone US or Canadian members who find San Francisco too far can then proceed to organise a separate future Heel-Meet to suite their locality! Good Luck! Cheers! Heelfan

  17. To a3: Hi! We must point out that the area proposed is South-East Wales (not South-East England) which would be a longer journey for European visitors. To Loriette: Previous Heel-Meets doing the bargain shoes in the January sales have been fairly popular. Late January seems a good idea for an initial informal get-together, although numbers would be greater in the Spring and early summer when members are more disposedf to travel larger distances. Although Nigel said January seems to early because of the sales crowds, any later than that would miss the best shoe bargains and defeat that particular object. Saturdays have always best days for a good attendance. We have found an assembly time of 10.30 - 11 is about right, usually at a coffee shop or similar before moving-off for shoe shopping, lunching, socialising etc. I hope you can soon post a date for us all to aim at. Cheers, Heelfan

  18. Don't forget me (Heelfan) and my daughter Melanie (Peachy Shoe Shop selling everything up to 7" heels) both of Bristol! I attend virtually all of the Heel-Meets, and Melanie when she is free. We are planning a UK Heel-Meet here at Peachy Shoes around February 2006 (with buffet meal included), but whether you wish to wait for that, or whether you organise something additional and separate in South Wales, we would be interested either way. Cheers, Heelfan

  19. Yes, a most successful and enjoyable Heel-Meet (except for me with injured foot in the dreaded flatties!). Dr. Shoe gave me a ring yesterday to say how much he enjoyed it - buying great boots and enjoying the company and nice lunch etc. The two surprise members who joined the group were Red Mountain and Mrs. Red Mountain. Red Mountain had been to Canada to do a filmmaking course, and for one of his subjects chose (yes, you've guessed it!): Men in High Heels! He gave out two discs of the film to other members of the Heel-Meet, so I look forward to seeing it next in line. Firefox took a number of photos during the Heel-Meet. I hope we will see him doing his own report here and posting some of the shots. Oh, and a passer-by in Oxford Street was overheard saying into his mobile phone "You'll never guess what I've just seen - a MAN IN HIGH HEELS!". Probably alluding to Xaphod who, as usual was blazing the trail in a great pair of boots with 5" slim (almost stiletto) heels. Well, a very good nine-member Heel-meet of the usual "hard core" of us, but our only sadness was how much enjoyment many of you other members were missing by being absent. Don't be faint-hearted everyone - come and join us on future Heel-Meets. The next UK one will probably be after Christmas now - at Peachy Shoes, Bristol hosted by proprietress Melanie (my daughter) in her 5.5" heels. Xaphod has already frozen sufficient of his garden's damsons to bake another damson pie for the buffet! Cheers, Heelfan

EVERYONE ELSE WELCOME (heels nice but not compulsory!) - Please post below. Cheers, Heelfan

  21. I don't really think it matters exactly what you call it - - Addiction/Compulsion/Craving/Fascination/Uncontrollable Fetish/Desire/Quirk/Urge/Turn-on/Yearning/Kink/Penchant/Trait etc. etc. Thousands of us find it a great and all-consuming activity, so let's just recognise that and enjoy it to the full! Cheers, Heelfan
