  1. Hi David, I'm Bristol, but I visit (or sometimes travel through) Winchester a few times a year. I hope you can arrange to meet up with LovesHiHeels soon, but let me know if you'd like me to contact you next time I'm going to be Winchester way. I've got over 100 pairs of size 9 high heels that our now too small for me as I'm now size 9 1/2 to 10, so I could also help you get back into the wonderful life of high heels! Cheers, Heelfan

  2. Sorry Everyone, I'm so very, very sorry, but I'm suffering a very severe chest infection and it's now obvious (now Thursday, the day before) that I won't be in any shape to attend the Friday dinner or the Saturday Heel-meet. Sorry to lety you all down, but my apologies to the meal-organiser (now Kneehighs?). (Kneehighs - I tried answering your PM, but my PM was not accepted as your PM inbox is over-full!) Regarding table space, there should be plenty, as David Fuller booked a table for twelve, and there's only about seven or eight of you expected so far, and these London Restarurants are used to being flexible. Regarding identifying each other, simply tell the head waiter that you are with with party booked by David Fuller for 8pm! To make really sure, why not take along with you a print-out of the restaurant's booking confirmation letter from page 1 of this thread! Have a good one all, and so sorry to miss this as last year's was so great! Cheers, Heelfan

  3. Thanks siksick6! That celebrity high heel site you posted a few postings back is incredible! In my whole 50+ years of heel-spotting, its the best, most glamorous, most exciting, largest and most fabulous collection of high-heel-wearing that I've ever seen! And all the girls look to happy, fresh, fashionable and drop-dead georgeous! WOW! Thanks again! Cheers,Heelfan

  4. Yes, I once went through an anxious period of self-appraisal and then went to see a top lady psychiatrist to confess that although a happily married man and father, I had a passionate fetish for high heels.# LADY PSYCHIATRIST'S ANSWER: "I'd be more worried about you if you DIDN'T have a fantasy of some sort. Everyone needs some sort of "thing" or fantasy to take their mind off everyday problems. Good for you, stop worrying and just enjoy it! Cheers, Heelfan

  5. I agree with the previous poster! As a veteran guy of no less than 51 years of continuous street-heeling, all I can say is go for it! If you enjoy yourself even 10% as much as I've done, then I will have enjoyed myself 90% more than you are doing! Cheers, Heelfan

  6. Can we really dare to hope?

I certainly don't see why we shouldn't dare to hope. Mainstream high heel fashions for men have happened before, and no, I'm not talking about 300 years ago!

The early 1970s saw the male street fashion for flared trousers and platform shoes with heels up to 4" or more for streetwear (and up to 12" or more for Elton John and other rock personalities on stage.

Then eighties saw Beatle-Boots becoming popular streetwear with no platform and somewhat slimmer cuban heels up to about 4". The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones and many other celebrities popularised these heels, which also appeared on stylish shoes from Shelley, Mr. Henry and other trendy London shoe stores.

If it's happened twice within my own lifetime, it's bound to come round again, and with todays more tolerant and unisex attitudes, maybe the mainstream male fashion wll embrace even higher and slimmer heels this time around.

    Cheers, Heelfan

  7. On ITV's late morning programme (UK) at 11.45am today, I was delighted to see a feature on "high" heel fashion trends for men. Presented by Fern Britten, the feature started with shots of Sarcosi(?) the new French president wearing stacked heels for his current UK tour, followed by shots of celebrities Tom Cruise etc. also in raised heels. Then they returned to their TV studio with a guest male fashion guru holding up several examples of current boots and shoes from well-known stores - Aldo, Diesel etc. with heels up to about 2.5" (all normal male thickness heels and hardly tapered). Rather tame, you might say, but still a nationwide television plug in the right direction. Then they brought out several male models wearing further boots and similar shoes with "high" heels. Although again only up to 2.5", not bad considering they are all for the mainstream market. However, the best thing of all, was when presenter Fern Britten wrapped up the feature by summarising "HIGH HEELS ARE FINE FOR MEN!" !!!! Is that remark cool, or what? Cheers, Heelfan

  8. To dispel the members' above confusion: Peachy Shoes is still run by member Peachy (my daughter) at: PEACHY SHOES, 10 & 11 PERRY ROAD (PARK ROW) BRISTOL, BS1 5BG, UK TEL: 0117 3309090 (or from overseas 0044 117 3309090) The only recent change was that whereas the front showroom of No. 10 was ladies' "boring everyday" shoes, Mel has given up those and that room is now antiques. However, she still uses the rear showroom for displaying/selling wicked 4" to 8" heels in many sexy styles. Viewed from the street, No. 10 has now changed to an antique shop, but is also the entrance for the shoes. No 11's shopfront is still PEACHY SHOES with an assortment of wild heels on display, as always. Therefore Mel and I are mystified as to how any passing-by members could possibly miss that! Hope that has clarified it for everyone, and that Mel can look forward to continuining phone calls or visits from the many customer-members. Cheers, Heelfan

  9. I'll be there at the Saigon Chinese retaurant for Lunch on Friday 15th Feb at 1 pm. I can't see the point of assembling a considerable distance away at Starbucks at 12.30 only to immediately travel quite a journey to Greenwich (????). I am also attending the evening meal in Soho, the all-day Heelmeet at the Miller on Saturday, and possibly the Thursday night meal. Cheers, Heelfan
