About Me
I am a North American born and raised female conceived from a pair of charismatic Pacific Islanders who immigrated over and hooked up in the big city during the late '60s. Genetically, I inherited these loooong coconut-tree climbing feet that tripped me into the complexity of self-consciousness all throughout my schooling years between the late'70s and early'90s. I was called everything from 'Lil Sasquatch/Bigfoot to Sideshow Bob 😡.
So there I was, a petite, short-shinned, skinny-legged, loooong-footed Asian/Latina-looking girl who was often labeled as being a tomboy due to the fact that I avoided wearing skirts and dresses, and most of my friends were boys because urban girls during the '70s and '80s were extremely prejudice, shallow and mean.
At the age of 12, I remember trying on a pair of Mom's boots out of curiosity because they looked soooo pretty, and resembled a pair that Marie Osmond would often wear on the Donny and Marie show. I instantly fell in love with them the moment they were zipped up because those adult sized puppies actually fitted properly on my kangaroo feet. The boot shafts hid my short shins and the heel took away some of the length from my ridiculously long feet, and wow- I was suddenly taller!
Fast forward 36 years later....
When I slip into a pair of my custom 7 inch stiletto heeled single-sole boots, I dream of stomping out these ignorant clowns (see example below) that continue to degrade women who just want to be pretty for themselves in their high heel boots.
The journey will be a perilous one, but I know what I've signed up for.
Join the revolution!
