  1. When I talk about my fears of rejection in the public when I, a male, wear high heels people will condemn me for being too wimpy. Now when I boldy post a message people will condemn it for being out of place. So then just like me having the courage to wear high heels in public I can also have the courage to post where I want. If I have to put up with these kinds of contradictions from its members then that gives me another reason to leave this forum. Make no mistake, this forum sucks.

"Y'all want some cheese with that whine.... " :D

  2. It was very hot and humid today and by 8 am the temp had already reached 24c so I spent a lazy morning on the deck, just messing about, enjoying the breeze and strong Turkish coffee.

The lady in my life came out and joined me some time later, wearing nothing more than a blue sarong, a large straw hat and a rather cheeky smile. She gave me a kiss and said "I really really like that skirt on you… but aren’t you hot?? "

With that she padded back to the bedroom and returned with another sarong and my tan slides. The sarong was a dark sand color with a leopard pattern embossed onto it. Like hers, it was also made from Thai silk.

"Put these on Hon"....with this heat you'll more comfortable in some thing lighter"

So I stepped out of the skirt I was wearing and changed on the spot....and that’s when she slid her hand over my thigh and said,

    "Damn you look dirty......" :D

lol...It's all in the eyes of the beholder I suppose. Anyway, this is what I was wearing before C**** gave me her sarong. Altho it's not my "default mode," I do enjoy skirts when the mood strikes.

  3. Thanks for sharing your pics with us Flavio..

Both pairs of boots look great but the black ones really appeal. So what is the quality like? How is the leather and workmanship?

I have several pairs of Brazilian boots and they are quite well made and have had good wear from them.

Spotted these on line the other day...

they are by Carlos Santana and are of course, made in Brazil.Thought they would be just the ticket for Autumn but those folks at Zappos won't ship internationally. What a bugger. :D

    Enjoy your boots..

  4. The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide". The only two higher levels in France are "Surrender" and "Collaborate". The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's principal white flag manufacturing facility, effectively paralyzing their military. > It's not only the French who are on a heightened level of alert. The Italians have increased their alert level from "Shouting Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing". Two more levels remain, "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides". > The Germans also increased their alert state, from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs". They have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose". > Seeing this reaction in continental Europe, the Americans have gone from "Isolationist" to "Find Somewhere Else in the Middle East Ripe for Regime Change". Their remaining, higher alert states are "Take on the World" and "Ask the British for Help". > Finally, here in GB, we've gone from "Pretend Nothing's Happening" to "Make Another Cup of Tea". Our higher levels are "Remain Resolutely Cheerful" and "Win". In parliament today, the British attitude level was raised from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, it may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been at "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940, when tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorised from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance". The last time the "A Bloody Nuisance" warning level was issued was during the Great Fire, in 1666. > I think it's the absolute limit myself. If these terrorist chaps have a grievance, why can't they just be like Canadians and write an angry letter to the BBC!! jim

  5. The interaction between JTurbo and TXT1 really has deteriorated into nothing more than a cheap pissing match and I can’t help but wonder if this forum is the best place for that to take place. It is said the best way to counter obnoxious speech is with more speech and persuasion, not coercion is the solution, so perhaps a quite word in the right ear may be in order. jim

  6. Good choice with the turtleneck Jeff. ;) I think Kneehigh's was on the money when he mentioned your polo and the look it imparts. On us leaner guys,I think a sleek pointy stilleto boot really needs a sleek over-all look to work well.I feel the turtle would have helped you accomplish this by adding balance and refinement.A black jacket and button down shirt would look razor sharp on you and me both.. Just my two cents.... jim

  7. The style of heel that looks the best is strongly correlated to both the body style and the remaining dress (shorts, slacks, skirt, blouse, jacket, coat, etc.)

    It all depends.

I agree DR and find it's something I struggle with constantly. Somedays I really get it "right" and the over-all look is well coordinated and sharp, at other times I mess up with my choice in shoes or with the color or cut of the pants or jacket I want to wear and end up looking like a dogs breakfast.;)

Still,I believe that any slimish guy with an ounce of courage could wear the skirt, boots and top shown in your avatar and look damn good.

    Perhaps even me.. :D

  8. Good on you for taking the plunge and buying your first pair of heeled boots. They are a good choice for starting out and should serve you very well. I second Loveheel's recommendation and would also suggest a good pair of "boot-cuts" to go with your new boots. Enjoy... ;) Jim

  9. Perhaps email them and let them know they were wrong? They might reconsider for later. Ok, maybe not, but letting them know gives them the chance.

Good idea HR....and perhaps you could include a few pics of the street heelin' guys from this forum, like Firefox Xapod and the like.

I don't know who these so called experts are but one thing's for sure, they need to broaden their horizons abit... ;)

A New Zealand farmer is resisting demands to take down hundreds of women's bras adorning a fence on his South Island property.

The idea was born five years ago when four women from the nearby town of Wanaka returning home from a night at the pub removed their bras and strung them up.

Since then, local sheep farmer John Lee has become the unofficial guardian of the site.

Women passers-by have since added their own to the fence, gaining it worldwide publicity.

Now authorities in the Wanaka District are to spend thousands of dollars on road works to cater for the thousands of passing motorists who stop to photograph the "Bra Fence."
