  1. Nice out-fit E!

I think you have put things together rather well. You would definitely blend in and not look out of place in most cities "Down Under".

FWIW..I enjoy wearing boots with a 4" heel when I'm out and about and seldom get a negative response.

Altho it's not what the average bloke would wear, this is a typically casual look that barely raises an eyebrow..

All I can say is: "Wear what you want to wear and enjoy, but you must be comfortable with-in yourself and with the image you are portraying".

You will hear this said often on the board and it's 100% true. In fact I believe it is the very key to successful street heeling ...it's all about attitude.

    Rock on..

  2. Indeed. If that had happened here it would have been one or two shots at the most.

    Sure thing Doc...whatever you say.

    ITN News | August 17 2005

Relatives of the Brazilian man shot dead by anti-terror police on a London Tube train want them to be charged with murder.

Officers mistakenly thought Jean Charles de Menezes was a suicide bomber, but recently leaked documents show he did not try to run away from police or vault the ticket barrier before they gunned the unarmed man down at Stockwell Tube station as initial reports suggested.

Mr de Menezes left his property before taking a bus to Stockwell tube station, where he was shot seven times in the head and once in the shoulder by armed police.

    Three other bullets missed…

  3. Most people who pursue armaments as a way of life tend to come to a bad end.

I would love to know where you got that fact from..

Along this same line, I am having difficulty envisioning a legitimate use for silencers and equipment of that sort.

I've also heard it said that some people have difficulty envisioning a legitimate reason why men should wear heels....

Anyway, just look up.....I gave you one in my post......Sheeesh!

  4. for non USA residents, NFA firearms are anything full auto, short barrel (16" or less), suppressors, or other destructive devices.

Unlike the other firarms thread I started, this will not involve heels.. although I sometimes wear a pair to the range *grin*

Very soon I should be able to take possesion of my first suppressor, a gem-tech Trinity model.. started the process early last May.. been a while.

As prices of most class 3 firearms in the US have skyrocketed since the 1986 ban on new registrations, my interests have fallen more on the other ends of the spectrum. Suppressors/silencers do get my attention on a profesional basis as I deal with noise/vibration complaints, and suppressors do an amazing job of noise suppresson.

If anyone has experience with suppressors please feel free to leave your comments here.

I am considering either a .45 suppressor, or a .223 suppressor as my next purchase, and would love to have feedback from varous sources.

Well. down here in GODZONE we are able to own suppressors and any citizen can legally purchase one.

There are local manufacturers who turn out units as good (if not better) than the Reflex, these retail from $300-$6oo depending on cal and type of finish required. I have used them on a number of different rifles and handguns and they do exactly what is required of them. The only problem is the increased OL of the firearm...I like 'em short and a suppressor can add between 4"and 24".

At the moment I own only two...my favourite being a small 4" unit on my 16" Ruger1022.I have a 4x40 on top and when using Winchester sub-sonic ammo it takes care of all my pest destruction needs out to about 90 mtrs. This combination is VERY effective when used close to the house or around the horses and other stock. When fired the only sound is that made by the action cycling.A buddy of mine also runs a silenced 1022 but his arangement is far slicker then mine. His suppressor is a custom job that fully encases the barrel from the reciever down to muzzle with a profile similar to a HB.

Is it any quieter than mine..? Yes some, but not by much..

Of course the Reflex on my Savage .308 HB Tac Rifle shuts down the muzzle report efficently but as you know, dose nothing with projectile noise. .Still, they have their place and do cloak the rifleman’s position extremely well.

If I could have my druthers, I would really like to put one on my M1A SOCOM 16.Up to this point in time I have been unable to do so because of the muzzle break and gas lock front sight arrangement Springfield use on this weapons system.Perhaps one day I'll get it sorted..

and for the anti’s…."The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles..."

  5. Hi ya kiddo... Bought those stunning Isabella Anselmi boots from a store called "Overland Shoes", down here in NZ. I have to admit it was love at first sight, but even after trying them on in the store and having a coffee with the manager while wearing them (out the back) I choked at the $400 tag and walked away with out them. Anyway....about a month later I was down in the South Island on business and walked into an Overland branch for a quick look-see and found both the brown and black on sale... Tried them on just to be sure of the size then plonked down the cash before I could even entertain a second thought. Lol..walked out of the store wearing the black ones and carried the brown... BTW. I bought a delightful skirt in the same mall .What I enjoyed most about that purchase was the sales woman and her verbal approach when she saw me looking through a rack of long skirts. She said: “Good morning Sir…are you buying for somebody else today or are you shopping for yourself..?” Don’t you just love the attitude. jim

  6. Those boots could be worn by any heel wearin' guy.....no worries at all. Thanks for putting them up.:rocker:

I know it's subjective but while we are on the topic of "cool boots", here's a pic of my winter favourites.Bought them in both brown and black earlier in the year and they are dead easy to dress up..or down.

  7. Well, I get the local community rag for about $1 and thats about it as far as newspapers go. BUT.....World Daily Nett, News with Views, Alex Jones, Radio Liberty and others keep me up to speed on world events and the important issues at hand. Fox News and most all other main stream media organisations are nothing more than Globalist propaganda merchants and I won't have a bar of them. Once, a long time ago, the news papers did nothing more than report on social change, now the media, in all it’s guises, are the tool responsible for implementing it. You may be better off spending your 2 quid on a good cup of coffee Xa…at least you will be getting the real deal. Jim

  8. Okay, spurred on by the inspiration of my friend Heel-D, here is an outfit I put together:

    Calvin Klein wrinkled oxford shirt

Cloak vest--the details which are hard to pick up on a pic really make this vest memorable. Its featured on Collection Spring 06, the last pic on page 1.

Seven For All Mankind New York Wash strech bootcut jeans

    Aldo 4" stiletto boots

Now this is a GOOD look..! :D

I love the shirt and vest (cloak) and feel you've pulled everything together perfectly !!

( btw,I would wear this combo in a heartbeat.)

    rock on

  9. First of all........it's good to see you back dr1818, I have missed you. :D A few stores Down Under are selling those Rock Boots styles and you are right...they are quite masculine and would suit alot of guys who enjoy a heel but I have to admit, they don't do too much for me.. jim

  10. :D sorry the color of the jacket just does not cut it for me..... :o

I agree hoverfly, that jacket really looks out of place on a loading dock...

Who in their right mind would wear something pink while loading a truck.. :D:cry:

  11. I looked over this site. It has too many guys in it complimenting themselves, and the women there have nothing more to say than "good going" stretched out in a paragraph. I would appreciate a more specific response from the women to my question.

It's been said that the Gals here are a bit thin on the ground and thats the truth, so you may not get the "specific responce" you are looking for.

If the post Kneehighs suggested dosen't do it for you either then may I suggest you put on your favorite heels, a shirt and pair of pants that go with them and head down town.

Keep this up and in due course you will get that "specific responce" ..... one way or the other.

    Have fun :D
