  1. Has anyone here been locked in heels or ballets and found they start cramping. My husband has taken me out of town several times for the weekend and left the keys at home which means I am in my ballet boots for 24 or 48 hours. Most times my toes hurt like heck and my muscles in my feet hurt but recently I have had cramping on the bottom of my feet in my arches and it has become almost unbearable. Last time it was during Friday night and we still had almost 36 more hours before getting home. I took a bunch of painkillers and really thought I had to cut the boots off but made it through. Anyone else have this and what have you done to get rid of the cramping? Thanks, Sheryl

  2. Those shoes look awesome. Who makes them and where are they sold. When I am ballet boots I have cut the heel off 1/2 inch and this would be not so hard since it has a larger platform rather than a standard 3/4" toe piece. Sheryl

Could you wear this shoe? I myself couldn't. I just got a pair of ballets not that long ago and can not stand in them let alone walk in them "not yet anyways" and they have a thin heel which one can put a little weight on. Don't get me wrong, I love this shoe and would love to own it just because, but I do not think I could ever walk in them. Could you?

This shoe has a 7.5" heel and comes in sizes 5-14.

  3. Karen, I too have become heeled 24/7. I love how it looks and really get used to some of the pain in causes once in awhile. One of the biggest concerns is visiting sometimes where people take their shoes off at the door. I can hobble in barefeet but not really for long periods and it becomes awkward explaining to bunch of people of not being able to really walk without heels. The other is trying to stay in shape and not being able to do a lot of things I used to do like ski, play tennis and golf. Now I just swim which works ok. Sheryl

I know for me, it's a little difficult at times to wear lower heeled shoes. I love wearing heels, especially to work. When I come home, I don't usually take them off because I'll go run errands or something similar. Too many things to do. Anyways, because I've been wearing high heels (anywhere from 5"-6") for long term since about a couple of years ago, my arches have stretched to the point of getting almost locked into the shape of my heels. So now I have an awkward condition of wearing heels all the time. I'm embarrased to see my doctor about it, but since I love my stilletos, I don't mind at all.

  4. If you are 5 9" already than any real heel would make you at least 6.1" or 6.2". Guess that makes finding a taller guy much more harder. Are you in heels all day? [ quote=Cinnamon;247611]How tall are you? 5ft 1in Are you happy with your height? Very. Does your height have any bearing on why you wear heels? Not really, though I always offer being vertically challenged as an explanation to those whom I can't be bothered to honestly explain why I wear very high heels. What would be your perfect height? I already am at my perfect height. How does your height compare to your partner? 5'9". I like a guy to still be taller than me when I'm in my highest heels.

  5. I have a dozen or so platforms. The built in ones are the most sexy as you do not see the platform. For summer I have many pairs of shoes with a 1-1.5" platform and 6 inch heel. Makes them much more comfy and easy to walk in.

  6. I feel that any 5 or 6 inch heel is not really a big deal but ballets still are. I can do a ballet all night but things like stairs, small hills, gravel, grass and even plush carpet make it a real challenge. I saw some heel tips for those who do not want to sink into the lawn in heels but they are not the most attractive. Any of you gals do the heels at the beach?

  7. Has anyone travelled recently while locked in ballet boots? Most airports ask you to take your shoes off and wonder if you have experience with being able to get on a plane if you are locked in your ballets and the key is not with you?

  8. I agree, when you get used to a 3 inch and 4 is really nothing much. If you are ok wearing a 4 all day then a 5 is not that big a step. I do find that a 6 inch heel is much more difficult as it really changes the amount of my foot is on the surface and the placement of my foot. Ballet boots are usually 7 or 8 inches and another matter entirely.

  9. I guess I talk to friends about my heel addiction and I get asked many times at work when people see me in my 5 inch heels at the office. I would miss the way I feel when I am in heels and the fact that regardless of what anyone says heels make your legs and butt look awesome.

  10. KellySue, Well if someone had told me that I would have felt that way too but after feeling the implant in her leg it made me sort of shudder. Then again at these fetish parties I see people with implants in their faces, ribs removed and waist sizes of 18 inches and people who have even been branded like a animal. I guess if you pay someone enough money in places like Mexico you can have whatever done you want.

Not doubting what she told you, but it sounds like a "fantasy" story to me. I can't imagine that a credible doctor would do a procedure like that...

  11. I only met her once at a party but I know she now lives in Toronto, Canada and was from Texas. She had this done over a year ago and was willing to live like this forever. She seemed in her 20's so you never know what may change as she gets older but the FOREVER part was pretty freaky.

  12. I have about six pairs where the tip is less than a 1/8 inch. Anything that thin for me is trouble as I get them caught on sidewalk cracks, or even twisting an ankle on a pebble. I would like at least 1/4 inch or wider if I am wearing anything above a 4 inch heel.

  13. Last week I met a lady at a Fetish night where she had surgery to implant titanium rods in her leg from the area just beyond the toes to mid calf making her 100% in pointe position. Anyone ever seen anyone like this. As much as I love my ballet boots I could not imagine not ever wearing regular heels or walking as I do on my toes without shoes at home.

  14. Well I spend an entire weekend in them where my husband mailed the keys and I had no way to get out. It went from fun and exciting, to pain to more pain and then just a thrill knowing I was in them for three days regardless of how much they hurt or how I felt. The worst was cramping where I needed a few minutes to take them off and stretch. Another is walking on hard surfaces like the Southcentre Mall where we spend about five hours walking and my toes felt like they had fallen off a couple hours into it. Sheryl

Till know I wear my ballets say 2 times a week for a couple of ours. I am planning to extend the time I wear them. A while ago I send back a pair with zippers for some reason the weren’t stable enough:sad:. Good suggestions (brand, shop) for a pair of ballet ankle boots? My good pair which I wear are from La Piazza:winkiss: Germany.

    Love Esther

  15. I get stared at a lot downtown when I am in heels that are 5 or 6 inches. I have my bosses come to me and tell me that some of my heels are not work appropriate which I find funny since any gal can wear a tight blouse or skin tight dress. When I am at work I am in business suits, dresses that are office suitable and yet my shoes make me look trashy apparantly. On the street for some reason men seem to link heels with hookers and I get that a lot. Mostly from middle aged men who likely aren;t getting any at home. Sheryl

  16. This is new. For someone who is now 24/7 getting any physical activity where I cannot wear runners, skates or ski boots is limited. I have found a pair of Nike Runners off shore where they have a 2 inch heel lift and allow me to wear them ocassionally. Sheryl

  17. Well I do not get the chance to ever wear low shoes but in heels I like my shoes tight. I used to be a full size 7.5 and now wear almost all size 7 shoes. With a 4-5 heel and lose feeling can cause you more imbalance. I need to feel snug and not falling off as I walk. I find with anything like a 5 or 6 inch heel my toes are so jammed into the front of the shoe that I need to go down that size. Sheryl

  18. I have worn them off and one for a couple years and the pain gets better but after long times they still hurt like heck. Wearing them even at home watching tv hurt my calf muscles but walking on any hard surface hurts even with toe pads. Most times when I wear them I am locked into them for the night or the weekend so the pain is constant and numbing. After a few hours anything below my waist hurts and bit and it moves from my toes to ankles to calfs to my thighs and hips. I love the feeling of almost helplessness and trying to walk around (especially stairs) is such a rush. Sheryl

  19. I do wear them and at times have spend an entire weekend locked in them when we got out of town. My husband does not like me to be seen in them where I will be recognized. I have spend many weekends away in them and leaving the key at home so I have them on all day. They do hurt like heck for my toes which feel like when you stub your toe except the feeling never goes away. He likes the way I stumble around in them and need his help getting up and down (especially) the stairs. Sheryl
