  1. Hopefully better late than never with this delayed response. Like most things in life it takes time, effort and practice. I have always loved heels as a teen and then as a young adult made a choice to wear them daily. The first time I was in 4" heels I thought I had "made it." Then soon got bored with that and started working on 5" heels. Today I can wear a 5" heel all day and even have several pairs of 6' heels with no platform.

  2. Funny thing as the height of the heel determines whether it is classy, sexy or trashy. At work if you are in flats they look at us with the fact that it is too casual, Put on a 2 or 2.5 inch heel and it is suitable for work. Put on a 3 inch heel and unless you are very petite and need the height (we have a couple gals who are 4.11 or 5.0" ) and they think we are being provacative. I wear a 4 inch heel most days and I get so many comments about how the "hooker shoes" are not appropriate for my work (mostly from the ladies as men are afraid to make comments and some just like the look). 3. Has anyone had the soles of their feet painted? As a way of making sure I do not spend the day walking around the office in barefeet my husband thought of painting the soles of my feet white (not always just on ocassion) so he would then be able to tell if I was without heels at work. Anyone know if this would be harmful?

  4. Sarah, Get a pair that is well built and work yourself into it. Try putting them on and simply sitting. Sometimes the angle of your foot will cause muscle cramps and spasms which are hard enough while you are sitting or lying down. Then start with small steps ideally on a solid but not real hard surface as super hard surfaces can be real hard on your toes

I have been wearing them for years and first started off for 30 minutes and then an hour. My record now is four days with close to 90 hours with locks. Sheryl

    Hi Girls

I want to try putting on Ballett boots but have no idea how to walk in them, can you offer advice? How best to start.

    What do they feel like.

    Things to watch for?

  5. Since i really do not wear anything but heels i have tried the gym in barefeet which they will not allow me anymore and once or twice in heels. I have a friend in a condo and i have done 30 minutes on her treadmill at 3-4 km per hr and it has been fine. I have tried the eliptical in heels but that is much harder as there is more change in your foot patterns. The treadmill is quite easy in my 4 or 5 inch heels.

  6. Ok better question would be what colours do I not have. I can see black flat, black patent, brown, beige, white, grey, blue navy, blue royal, blue sky, red patent, red-orange, yellow, taupe, peach, plaid, white, off white, hot pink, light green, dark green, purple, hmmmmmm more in the garage

  7. Not sure where but somewhere I saw a model wearing what looked like 4 or 5 inch shoes with no actual heel. This was not a shoe with heels removed but specifically made that way. Has anyone here worn them, can you really walk in them?

  8. Since I am in heels about 23 hours a day I have been driving in heels but a couple times I have had problems braking and having my heel caught on the floormat so most times now I just go barefoot. Usually not a problem unless i have white stockings on and the soles get black from my dirty carpet and floormat in the Jeep.

  9. In December I did over 60hours in ballet boots and that was a record. I was home and besides not being able to shower, get outside or crawling up stairs and sliding down stairs life was ok. The feeling of knowing I cannot take them off is a thrill and pain usually gets liveable with some tylenol. I know that for days after my knees and hips really ached. Sheryl

  10. These days I would say that I have heels on about 23 hours a day. Sometimes I do go to bed without heels although that is now not more than a couple days a month. If I sleep without them I start getting cramping in the bottoms of my feet and wake up and put them on anyway

    Hi there,

How long do you typically wear heels each day - like when you put them on first thing in the morning, through your working day etc until you take them off again? It's just that I worry that I wear them too long sometimes. Not that I am experiencing any problems - it would just be nice to know what all you others do! I often wear four inch plus stilettos for at least ten hours every day.

    Nina.
