  1. Please correct me if I'm wrong - but don't Archenemys have their heels made by 6InchHeelsForever - hence the long delivery times?

And Roz - buying shoes in New Look is asking for trouble. New Look shoes are cheap China stuff.

I buy nearly all my High Street heels in Faith/Solo or Russel and Bromley (mainly made in Brazil, Spain and France) - and haven't had a single heel fail yet.

Even though they look the same, according to Arch Enemys, their shoes are not made by 6IHF, but some other manufacturer that they wouldn't name.... :winkiss:

  2. ... in response to McCain's charge that Obama has an ongoing relationship with a known domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers. And, unable to refute that factual charge...

"Since 2002, there has been little linking Obama and Ayers.[41] Obama says he has not visited Ayers during the presidential campaign. The senator said in September 2008 that he hadn't "seen him in a year-and-a-half."[42] In February 2008, Obama spokesman Bill Burton released a statement from the senator about the relationship between the two: "Senator Obama strongly condemns the violent actions of the Weathermen group, as he does all acts of violence. But he was an eight-year-old child when Ayers and the Weathermen were active, and any attempt to connect Obama with events of almost forty years ago is ridiculous."[40] CNN's review of project records found nothing to suggest anything inappropriate in the non-profit projects in which the two men were involved.[43] Internal reviews by The New York Times, The Washington Post, Time magazine, The Chicago Sun-Times, The New Yorker and The New Republic "have said that their reporting doesn't support the idea that Obama and Ayers had a close relationship."[44]"
  3. As for the question that the boots ruin the classy look I think you may not be familiar with the idea of bricolage in high fashion. This was the original idea of Malcolm Mclarn and Vivienne westwood and has been used subsequently in changing fashion and making it more avant garde. The idea is to juxtopose items from different cultural and historical contexts to create a new look; new statements, new moods.

I suggest you buy a copy of his months Vogue (if you have it in Sweden)to see similar thigh boots with outfits you wouldn't normally associate with them: its high class tweeds etc with fetish wear the same as this image which I believe was originally a fashion shoot for a couture label.

You can skip the condescending lecture, buddy. I wasn't complaining about the thigh high boots as such, but if they wanted to convey an image of sophistication, why choose boots of such a cheap material? They just look plastic and sloppy. There are dozens of other fetish, thigh high boots out there -even in patent- in better quality wich would have suited this photo shoot a lot better.
