Hmmmm, thanks! I think you have all persuaded me! I am planning on going to bluewater in a week or so anyway, so I will pop into Faith and Aldo and 'try before I buy' I let you know how I get on!

Thanks Loswabs - I might just try that you know! Have you found any shops to be receptive of you trying heels on - I prefer Aldo and Faith (as they stock size 9's!)

There is just something about leather - I dont know if its the texture, smell, warmth .......... Basically - I love leather - leather boots, leather shoes and to top it all off my GREAT Oasis Black Leather Mini Skirt!

I brought a pair of Atlantic City from Aldo - they are great!!!!!

I posted a thread in the for guy section called New Shoes From Aldo!

Basically, they are great, cant recommend them enough. I brought the size 9 (eurpoean 42) I was a bit worried they would be to tight but they are fine.

Thanks for the comments! I love these shoes, I did not think I would ever want to be out of my thigh boots, but with these heels there is definately some competition! They were worth every penny.

I have not tired shoes on in the shop, I hav brought them in store but as per some other comments have gone along the 'They are a gift, if you does not like them can she bring them back' line. I have been more confident rescently though when I phoned a shoe shop and asked if they had a particular style of shoes I wanted in a size 9, they said yes. I arranged for them to put them to one side for me and went to collect them. The female assistant was very kind and helpful, in fact I had decided (as the shop only had two other customers) if she asked me if I wanted to try them on (as I had made it very clear they were for me) I was going to say YES! But guess what - she did not ask! So you never know - I dont think I would seek the opportunity out, however if it was offered I would take it!

This may have nothing at all to do with me - and I apologise if I am getting involved in something I should not. Fortunately I did not see the offensive pictures patentheel posted, and agree with the comments that have been pointed out - i.e. this is a forum to discuss heel wearing not sexual gratification. However - patentheels has aplogised. I know this forum has been a great source of information and more importantly support to me in my heel wearing. It would seem to be a shame to out a like minded individual based on one, all be it a serious error? Just my thoughts. PS Patentheel - I like your avatar.

Thanks for the commnets loswabs. I would love to be able to say yes, but ....., sadly not. I have ventured out to my car / walked around the garden - but only after dark! I would love to be able to wear my boots over jeans out and about. Perhaps at the next heel meet when there will be loads of other like minded people around I will take the plunge!

Hi - I will do my best to be there! Will be my first HHPlace meeting! What are you planning on wearing - I will probably leave the thigh boots at home (as I would wear them under trousers in any case) - will probably opt for one of my new pairs of Aldos!

Hi there - sorry I did not get to post the pics yesterday, I ended up shopping at Bluewater where I treated my self to another pair of heels from Aldo! I love thier shoes! Anyway - I only have time to add two pics now. These are of me wearing the Aldo AtlanticCity heels - very sexy!! I teamed it with my Black Leather Oasis 'Biker Style' mini Skirt and a pair of my other halfs tights! Let me know what you think. I will add the rest tomorrow. I went on my own in the end, got to wear my new Aldo Atalctic City heels.

Bluewater was very quiet - to be honest I would have prefered a few more people to be about.

I only stayed about 1/2 an hour - but did treat myself to another pair of heels from Aldo - they are called Nazilli and have a grea chrome heel:

Ahh - I seem to have been thinking along the same lines as pump fan! I was going to take some pics wearing jeans with my new shoes, but my other half was out so I thought, go for it!!! So Leather Mini Skirt (from Oasis) and black opaque tights. Just uploading the pictures to photobucket now!

I am a euro 44, I can just about wear off the shelf UK 9's - from Faith, Aldo and so on. But I would much prefer to be a UK 8. There is just so much more choice out there is this size!

Hi there, over the weekend I treated myself to a new pair of heels from Aldo - they are the Atlanticcity Style - very sexy and very high - a bargin at £70! I brought the matt Black Leather ones in a UK9.

They have a hidden platform - similar to some of Christain Louboutins, only no where near as expensive.

I decided to go for something different to add to my one other pair of heels - my Italian heels Amanda Thigh Boots. I am finding it difficult to find time to wear my thigh boots, although I love every second they are on my feet! This is mostly as I have to 'sneak' them on as I still have not found the courage to tell my long term parter I wear heels! - help!!!

Sadly I did not have the courage to try them on in store as they were having a busy weekend! I do admire those of you who do try before they buy!

Anyway the idea with the shoes is they are easier to hide and can be slipped on and off a lot more quickly if I am disturbed! I also intend to use them to walk to and from work - sadly not from my front door, but there are some woods I have to walk through so I can slip my boring shoes off and the new heels on!

What do you think??

I agree with the other comments - an open toed boot almost defeats the point of wearing a boot in the first place! Not for me!!
