  1. I love that style of high heel pump. However, I would not wear these particular pumps for the following reasons: 1 - the stiletto heels are too low (I prefer at least 5") 2 - the color red (I prefer black or white) 3 - the pointed toes (I prefer a rounder toe)

  2. How can anyone forget the infamous crossdresser's anthem The Lumberjack Song from Monty Python?

For those of you not familiar with the song, there are three sites you can try:

    for the wave format http://www.are.cistron.nl/monty/audio/lumberjack.wav

    for the RealPlayer format http://www.are.cistron.nl/monty/audio/lumberjack-song.ra

    for the mp3 format http://www.mwscomp.com/sounds/mp3/lumberjk.mp3

the sound files above include a one minute spoken introduction before the song starts.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The Lumberjack Song

(solo singer) I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay,

(solo singer) I sleep all night and I work all day.

(group singing) He's a lumberjack and he's okay,

(group singing) He sleeps all night and he works all day.

(solo singer) I cut down trees, I eat my lunch,

(solo singer) I go to the lavatory.

(solo singer) On Wednesdays I go shopping

(solo singer) And have buttered scones for tea.

(group singing) He cuts down trees, he eats his lunch,

(group singing) He goes to the lavatory.

(group singing) On Wednesdays he goes shopping

(group singing) And has buttered scones for tea.

(group singing) He's a lumberjack and he's okay,

(group singing) He sleeps all night and he works all day.

(solo singer) I cut down trees, I skip and jump,

(solo singer) I like to press wild flowers.

(solo singer) I put on women's clothing,

(solo singer) And hang around in bars.

(group singing) He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps,

(group singing) He likes to press wild flowers.

(group singing) He puts on women's clothing,

(group singing) And hangs around in bars?

(group singing) He's a lumberjack and he's okay,

(group singing) He sleeps all night and he works all day.

(solo singer) I cut down trees, I wear high heels,

(solo singer) Suspendies and a bra.

(solo singer) I wish I'd been a girlie,

(solo singer) Just like my dear pappa.

(group singing) He cuts down trees, he wears high heels,

(group singing) Suspendies and a bra?

(the singing and music pauses and you hear walking sounds)

(group singing) He's a lumberjack and he's okay,

(group singing) He sleeps all night and he works all day.

(group singing) He's a lumberjack and he's OKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY.

(group singing) He sleeps all night and he works all day.

  3. jrowan; Welcome to this forum. Although we have female high heel wearers as members, it seems like the males here dominate the postings. Feel free to post comments and questions in other threads even if you don't generate too many replies here.

  4. What concerns me is that you mentioned you are a long time admirer of high heels on women and yet you married someone who does not share your interest. When I was searching for a partner, I made my interests well known. I chose the person who met the expectations that were most important to me. And one of those included the wearing of high heels. There is no easy way to convince someone to do something they are dead set against doing. Afterall, she can always argue that you chose her for the way she is. You have to make a decision as to just how important it is for you to have a spouse who wears high heels.

  5. Laurieheels, in my last posting, I was trying to explain how I made the mistake about posting in the wrong section. I use uppercase letters to make text conspicuous. I have used them here in the past. Yet this is the first instance of someone posting that they were offended by it. You interpreted my usage of uppercase letters as defending myself in an aggressive fashion. You assumed incorrectly. I realize now that my usage of uppercase letters could be interpreted in one of two ways; either as hostile shouting or as good intentioned emphasis. Why you chose to assume hostility surprised me, especially since I: 1 - offered an apology, 2 - used the embarassed icon, 3 - edited my first message by deleting it completely. In the future, I will try to use alternative methods rather than uppercase characters when I want to emphasize. Thank you Firefox and JinxieKat for correctly interpreting my intentions and sincerity of my last post.

  6. The thing that gets me, is, this is the 'For the Gals' section, so obviously this poll is for the girls, and yet you're lamenting not being able to participate.

When I visit here, I click on VIEW POSTS SINCE LAST VISIT, then skim through the TOPICS column. For some reason, I don't look at the FORUM column so I did not take notice that this was posted under "For The Gals".

I have edited my previous posting accordingly.

My mistake ..... sorry about that. :-?

  7. To heelsRus:

You have to realize that if the Canadian government can slap on a 15% sales tax to your purchases, then the recording industry has every right to over charge for recorded media. :-?

    To everyone:

Check out the links below. The first one defends the recording industry. The second one reveals the greed and control of the major labels in the industry.

  8. Heelfan; You indicated that you play the double bass. Is that the same as an upright bass? And why is it referred to as "double"? Is it because of the size? I know how you feel about performing with a band. I love playing musical instruments. It is a great way to relax for me. And when I played in a band, I could not get over the fact that someone was actually paying me to do something I enjoyed so much that I would gladly do for free.

  9. Heelfan - looks like all your early hard work might be for nothing - the pics hosted on the original upload site (Bpalma's server?) are no longer displaying :-(

    Emma

I noticed this a few days ago when a lot of empty boxes with the red "X" started appearing in many postings. Even my avatar and signature were affected.

You can no longer access the old upload server site http://65.160.96.70/hhplace/images anymore.

Time to start using the new upload site at http://www.imagehost.org/. I'm using it for my avatar and signature.
