Thanks Firefox, some useful links for all of us there, and also a warning about staying away from the murkier areas of the web
If you're using Hacker sites, stay safe and use some firewall protection too, this can also stop some popups, and some of the adware/spyware phoning home to report back.
http://www.zonelabs.com offers their firewall (zonealarm) in a free version.
And Antivirus software, if you don't have any, is free at http://www.grisoft.com for AVG antivirus, and includes free regular updates and works very well.

Hmm another passion of mine, been collecting old computers and consoles for a coupla years now. Have nes, snes, n64, spectrum,zx81,sega megadrive, mega cd, saturn, dreamcast, bbc micro, acorn electron, commodore 64, amiga 500, and others, all with games. At the moment I mostly play Unreal Tournament, and unreal tournament 2003 on the pc, and Burnout on the ps2, also Luigis mansion and mario sunshine on the Gamecube. In between I play the Sonic the hedgehog games on the Sega megadrive (Sega genesis for the US residents) Sometimes even run my own servers for Unreal T. and UT 2003 even tho I'm amateur at the games Maybe we can search out some characters/ skins with HH's for some of the games

Gaby roolz, she is just sooo nice, and in heels wow. Just don't tell mrs shyguy ok
-
Want them NOW they look great.

OK, went past the address closest to me, no sign of a shop selling heels maybe out back of one of the others, as I was driving at the time (albeit very slowly).
-
Hey am I being victimised here  Shyguy
-
one of those addresses is not far from me in Feltham, and I don't think it's a shop front unless it changed recently. I will take a closer looksee when I'm passing by (only to help the good people of this forum, not for any kind of selfish motive obviously ) from the streetmap.co.uk site it looks close to a parade of shops so it's possible I missed it on my way past before. Will keep you updated on my findings when appropriate.....

yeah the red boots are the ones I would go for, although the black ones are nice, but a little too high for my taste. Saying that though, would really love to try the ballet heels just once to see how they feel.
-
The boots are from Evans in the UK. and yes that was my report as to comfort, and the missus agrees too
-
These are the boots I bought my wife, and very comfortable they are too.
-
My 10 year old daughter is just getting fashion conscious, and recently wanted some boots higher than her normal ones. Mum said no, but asked what I thought anyway, well as you can imagine, being a heel lover she had those boots bought for her . Also her older sister (who doesn't ive with us) left behind some way high (for kids anyway) boots which have now been passed through the ten year olds, down to her younger sister in turn, and they all love them, but have trouble walking in them.
-
Well I can identify with your problem Pam, just check some of my posts here, my wife is very much against me wearing heels. BUT she is slowly accepting it bit by bit and as said before, always asks if I want to try any new shoes she buys. All I can suggest is be understanding of her needs with regards this issue, don't force the issue too hard, and maybe you can gain acceptance piecemeal. softly softly catchee monkey..... hope it can work out for you Shyguy
-
This method was how I approached the issue several times, and I have tried other reasonings with my wife, her insecurities about it are as deep as my love for her so it's stalemateyou might approach that particular topic by asking her how she feels about the issue of wearing skirts / dresses vs pants, and whether or not she thinks it's right or wrong. Then, you could
Just wanted to add that we bought her some beautiful knee length boots recently from Evans (not high heels only 2" or so as she don't like high heels for her either), and after she tried them on with various clothes, she asked me to pull them off for her, then said "go on then try them yourself"
10 minutes of absolute bliss, then she told me to get them off she'd seen enough, she likes to see her man looking manly. couldn't refuse, as this is part of our understanding, she allows it until it upsets her.... then I must remove them at once.
Partial acceptance is a step forward and in those boots what a great way to step forward. Will try to get pic of boots or similar ones, sometime on the board.

I was upfront with my wife from an early point in our relationship, but even now 7 years and a marriage and child further along she still has the idea that wearing heels I must either be gay or want to be a woman. Every few months we have another conversation about it, she does now allow me to wear "womens shoes" (but only hers) for 1/2 hour at a time every few weeks, so we have compromised slightly there. She is trying to understand, but just holds onto the view that shoes will lead to skirts will lead to a sex change At least we are trying to understand each other, and in all other things in life we are almost completely compatible so I will just keep bringing it up ocassionally and not apply too much pressure Getting there slowly

Those are quite a nice style, ordinarily I don't like that kind of heel, but it definitely works with those shoes. Hmmmmm

Barratts have lots of stilettos at the moment, as my wife was shown this weekend, not sure about the Lemon yellow ones, but red, black and my faves were the white stils in the Kingston branch
-
Thanks FF, should have put in that I know some people wouldn't need an excuse have done it forever and so on..... but I forgot
-
Thought i'd ask if anyone has made any excuses to wear high heels, other than the obvious fancy dress??? I recently helped my wife to stretch a pair of her shoes which were tight but I had to be forced to do it Anyone else hd any good (genuine or preferably made up ) excuses??
-
At first look, I didn't like these, but reading the discussion, and looing back a few times, I have to sy they grew on me. big question, would I wear them, a definite maybe, prolly a yes if given a push. There, firmly on the fence again.....
