  1. Fastfreddy had so much trouble learning to spell as a young man that he started to use asterisks where he wasn't sure of the spelling of a word. It makes it look as if his writing is peppered with swear words when in reality this ex Catholic school choirboy wouldn't even know any of the words other people assume are behind the asterisks.

  2. Dr. Shoe was recently cured of his insanity, but still acts crazy to keep his place at St. Mildred's Home for the Mentally Bewildered and Bereft near Poole in Dorset. It's either that or he was only pretending to be cured. Nobody is quite sure which.

  3. Here are the sandals in question for the curious (and nosy  ). Just as an aside I missed the chance to wear these in public recently when we were going out to a country show. I was wearing some 3/4 length trousers, but didn't have any suitable footwear. My wife suggested wearing these but knowing her prejudice I thought she was joking / teasing and would retract the offer if I said ok. I asked after the event and she said she would have been ok with me wearing them to that show. Shoulda woulda coulda  One other thing of note, when we bought these for my wife a few years ago, they went missing in her wardrobe for about a year. The straps were pinching her feet as she walked. I told her we'd paid good money, and if she didn't wear them I would. She then wore them and soon they stretched and were her most comfortable pair of sandals.

  4. There have been endless amounts of incredible sunsets in the world viewed by countless billions of people, but I still get a lovely warm feeling whenever I see a new one.

    It's the same with shoes.

That was profound, Benno and poetic to boot.

As to the question, in the first place for me it was the taboo factor of wearing heels in private. After a while that lost its appeal, but I still enjoyed heels. Pushing the boundaries towards streetheeling is still fun, and trying on new shoes when I get some is still special.

    In short, yes.

  5. I'm in two minds over these, part of me says "Yay heels for men" part of me says "boring heels for men". But it is a step in the right direction, and if someone runs with it now it could bring about other designs which could be manly, and heeled. From something like this a trend for mens heels could snowball. Previous designers attempts were too much too quick IMHO but these wedges may just be acceptable where thin heels for men weren't.

  6. This past Saturday a friend of mine was visiting for a barbecue, and catching up. We did our usual chat session, a ride on our motorcycles, and then I fired the barbie up, and got changed. I slipped on a pair of my wifes sandals, not high heels, but definitely womens sandals, and went out to start cooking. My friend obviously noticed, but said nothing, and then the day just went as normal. My daughter came in with her friend, both teens but not a word was said by them either. I spent several hours barbecueing, and in the garden with the sandals on but nothing said by anyone.

  7. Thedesigner has just offered his latest designs to Heinz. His spaghetti Stiletto shapes in tomato sauce were deemed to have a limited appeal, but that hasn't dampened his spirits. He is now working on a way of incorporating heels into inline skates, skateboards and fishermens waders. It would be quicker if his crayons didn't keep snapping.

  8. Stilettoscot is in St. Mildred's Home for the Mentally Bewildered and Bereft near Poole in Dorset because he has a delusion that he is GOD. Since he learned to crochet he has been crocheting a "new" world which he hopes to complete in 7 days, including crocheted plants, animals and people. Once his new world is complete he plans to destroy the current one.
