Stabilizer and non ethanol fuel, coupled with occasional start ups during the off season is a winning procedure as well!
The newer Briggs engines can't compare with the older stuff either... I remember older briggs mowers coming into the shop seized up from running out of oil. I usually just put a pipe wrench on them freed em up, filled em with oil and got em going again.... Never once did one of those hack repair jobs come back with a rod through the side. Tecumsehs were another story though
I seized an old Arons Briggs snowblower years ago. Pounded the piston out the by hand wet sanded the bore with old oil and 400 grit wet/dry paper. Put her back together and ran another 5 yrs until moving to North Carolina. Left the blower with the house.

I really don't miss this.

Neither type is really ideal.
Buejay where abouts in upstate did you live? If I were still in the syracuse area we could have met up.
Will be at Keuka Lake for 2 weeks next summer.

Hard pack is usually thinner, packed. Parking lots and drive ways, places often walked on.

I don't believe stilettos are too dressy for any situation.

Honestly having lived in the Syracuse area for 15 yrs of my heeling life I found stilettos better than block heels. The spike stilettos penetrate the hard pack snow better. Neither are ideal on ice.

I've never had issues with stilettos at the Depot. Many times, never a problem. As for masculinity, it takes balls to do it and many of us do.

Almost, surprisingly hand taps don't work. I ground down the diameter of a number 6, U.S. size screw to just a couple thousandths over the bore. Chamfered the tip and hammered them in.
I've hand tapped previous heels but often the taps break. Once that happens you're done. So now I just grind and press.

ASOS boots.
These are comfortable, I did however have to "fix" the heel height. I added a 1/4" or 6mm insert on the heel to balance the height other wise the heel was leaning tip foward towards the toes. This condition wouldn't have lasted very long while wearing as my weight would have been off center just standing much less walking. The insert brings the height to 4 & 7/8" or 121 mm. Easy walking almost lowish. Took them for a walk to Walmart for supplies this morning, no issues. Do love the metal (Allen screw) heel to cement floor sound.
Hope all had a grood Christmas and all will have a great new year, Joe.

Agreed, the topic and discussion was very good.
Yah, haven't seen a 3 piece in years.

Those are casual my friend and not stilettos. Not saying I don't like them but they are not glamorous.

Nice link. He and I have the same taste in heels. I can't understand the need to undress during the interview no matter how the topic moved about.
The two interviewers, especially the person on right of the screen look rough and doubt either one has ever donned a nice pair of heels. His point is fashion should not be gender based and those 2 are as much proof as him and us.

Wedges are the ultimate casual high heels. They don't have any glamor and don't provide the visual appearance of walking on air. Not surprised you may not treat them the same.

I get that. My problem is I'm addicted to high heels like many are to drugs. Can't get enough and variety is king in my play book.

but how many other heel wearers are wrapped in their bubbles, so preoccupied with looking at the eyes of others that they noticing nothing else about the people around them?
I bet most, my ears are tuned to heels. I hear them I'm looking. It's a side effect of the high heel gene. I'm ultra attracted to great legs and heels do make a difference. The most beautiful woman, dressed to kill in flats simply not working in my book. Shoes not jewelry make every outfit, formal, dressy or even casual.

Although not boots, I have traveled to and from Brazil with 5 inch block, 1 inch square, loafers. Had no issues.
Those shoes are long since gone.

We will likely never see men in high heels openly in public under normal everyday circumstances.
My coworkers can't say that as long as I'm around, but they have only seen one guy in high heels.
High heels will likely never really catch on, few people have the gene.

Interesting the note would even be sent like that and more interesting it was ignored. Nothing makes teenagers do things in a certain way better than suggesting or telling them not to.
Next time hopefully they say high heels are discouraged.

Those are very sturdy yet elegant heels.

I'm a bit the same way, something I attribute to many years of running or cycling. The circulation in my legs is very good. I seldom feel the cold in my legs, although since I've taken to wearing tall boots the extra warmth around my ankles is noticed and appreciated.
The arteries in our legs are much larger than those in our arms to feed the much larger muscles.

Love the boots. A bit surprised they aren't slippery on the fresh snow.
