Going from 4,5” to 5,5” is a big jump. Reaching our limit each 5mm more can be a challenge.

About training the only and not perfect way I found is to go outside,in the dark,to rather busy places ( more secure) with the shoes hidden with boot cut jeans. That’s not perfect but better than lonely places at night or struggling in public in day time.

There are what I personally consider as a good “ training “ pair of shoes

    Love these training heels.

Interesting that you mentioned heel tips. For others that wear stiletto style heels, I am sure you too have found that the original tips supplied by the shoe maker are not very resilient. I learned a long time ago how to replace my own tips. Also I am not a huge fan of steel heel tips but they do offer a solution for stilettos that you wear a lot.

Just exactly where do you even buy steel tips. I have several pair of 5 inch go to stilettos and in many cases replaced tips 4 or 5 times. Admittedly, love the sound my worn tips make but not good to wear too much before the surrounding heel gets damaged.

  3. It's bad if she knew going in then decided she couldn't deal with it. Like yiu say it's in your blood. Early on, way early, I tried to purge myself of this "problem". All I did was throw away some really beautiful heels then bought more. Back in the early 90's sexy shoes brand used to have amazing heels of their own design and of quality wau better than now.

  4. You look perfectly proportioned with 4.5" single soles, even 4.75".

My foot is larger and I rarely if ever wear less than 5". However, 5.24 is really my max everyday shoe height (single soles of course). Here are some of my more experienced heels by Pleaser although I really don't wear Pleaser all that much anymore.

for sure no much activity going on here lately!

On my side I am still wearing heels ( nearly) everyday. Still traveling in heels. Doing my own stuff!

I would post much more often if my pics were not always rejected as too heavy. Even if I reduce the resolution and the size. Any tip?i notice some members are posting nice pictures. I am using an IPhone.

No matter if it makes me feel a moron

When i post images i use my very old g3. I then have to email to myself allowing 90% reduction. Seems to work with decent enough quality.

I haven't worn hose or stockings in years. I'm all bare feet into pumps and boots kinda guy. I do love me a good pair of leather look leggings though.

Well that's 2 of us anyway.

So what you're saying is, that should I ever buy any Casadei shoes, which I may end up doing someday, I should buy a 10? They are not marked in Euro sizes? I learned a long time ago that 9 ≠ 39, unlike what many charts will tell you.

Well, i recommend you try them on in store.

Do you typically wear high heels everyday? And your on your feet too?

I do, even at work while at my desk. I keep several pair there.

  8. As I'm sure most know, I'm bare foot in pumps. I have a few reasons.

1 - with hose my foot tends to slide forward more into the toe box. This increases the load on my toes.

2 - heel pop while walking is more frequent.

3 - i really love the feel of the insole on my foot.

4 - i love the look more on others so i feel the same for myself.

I can never find them in an 11.

Their 11 is really a 10. 11 is impressed into the soles. The leather is amazing but I can only wear them early in the day before my feet grow due to being upright all day.

I loooove the Blade by Casadei. If i had to choose between Louboutin So Kates , Jimmy Choo Anouk, or these, i think i would have these (only by the tiniest of margins). Such a stunning shoe. If i had the means, id have all 3 styles :)

Totally agree the Casadei blade is tops. Have one pair in orange patent been wearing for several years. They run small, bought US 11's and they are very tight. Anyway got brand new direct from Casadei for 100 dollars due to damage I  couldn't find. Says a lot about their quality control.

One of these days, I'll have to put all of my similarly colored shoes on a table and take a picture of them, and we can have fun deciding what to call them all. None of them are quite the same color, even though it seems like they ought to be.

This is also my first time wearing a suit, albeit sans necktie, without any kind of hosiery. The reason for this was simple: I do not have any socks thin enough for these shoes (I usually wear trouser socks) that are not black or brown, and I figured that would look terrible, so I went bare.

Always go bare with pumps, a better look.

I'm just thankful not to be a 10 1/2. That would be very frustrating.

I actually am 10.5, men's 9. It's not that bad. Most heels fit me 10 to 11 since for some reason women's sizes are not actually consistent. Over time I gained a feel for brands that run small, buy 11, and those that run large, buy 10. Also, I'll buy preworn 10's often as someone else will break them in and they'll fit fine. Few people put the miles on their heels like us, so preowned doesn't mean worn out.

Are you saying that you snapped another heel clean in half? You know, I've never broken a heel before. I've had them come a little loose, but never actually broken one. I always seem to break the shanks, which, when that happens, you might as well have broken the heel.

Do tell, here or elsewhere, what happened to your Nine Wests.

It's been my experience that if you take long strides you put more bending moment on your heel. Heel first is the proper walk but if your shifting your well well before the rest of your foot reaches the ground then the heel carries too much weight before its square to the ground. That's why the higher the heel the shorter the step.

Exceptions to the rule do not invalidate the rule. Currently celebrities tend to wear high heels more then average women as well. Most women wearing pumps in the 50's and 60's wore low heeled pumps.

Agreed. That's why I referred to them as super high. She was the exception and was beauty personified.
