  1. i guess i started as a #2 but now i am more a #4 for my style of current heels which are wedge sneakers...

even tough i do like other style of heels (wedge booties above all) i cannot make them suite my lifestyle and look but i am happy where i am at now

    merry heeling x-mas everyone!!!

  2. this is an interesting topic....

personally I think I have always been attracted in some ways to high heels (I remember being thrilled by looking at dancers in clubs and their boots...well not only at the boots i was looking at actually....) but never actually have the idea of trying heels on untill 2011 when I started to have an ever increasing interest in wedge boots/ sandals/ wedge sneakers...

I have always encouraged my wife in wearing high heels and she is a heel lover so we often choose her heels together...

funny thing is that every once in a while we do discuss about who is getting too many shoes in the closet...

  3. I remember in the 90's during raves era, here in Europe the buffalo platform sneakers were quite popular (in some countries like switzerland, germany they were very popular) both among boys and girls...

but i never dared at the time...too bad!!

it seems however that they are sort of coming back, I see some people (mostly girls) wearing some sort of converse with platforms...

  4. Maybe they will "cross-market" without making a formal marketing charge forward as just "Shoes for Everyone" - but lets face it,; many of todays styles for the gals are fully based in original designs for males.

very true indee, so males have all the rights to claim some things back....

  5. I purchased a pair of the Topshop Atlantic wedge trainers yesterday and happily walked through the city and took the train ride home. Not a single look or comment from anyone.

They are extremely comfortable and could happily be worn all day! Size 42 fits me well so I would say they run a little large to size.

    nice sneakers....

I noticed that this fall several wedge sneakers models tend to have a larger heel base (making them stealthier....) it is a sing for a change???

  6. finally last Friday I was able to get my hands on the dunk super hi wedge snaker boots and I would like to share some simple pictures....

I got them at nike.com (the us site because in europe there are not available yet)..it was love at first sight when I saw them...

substantially higher than normal dunk wedges (but not too much) and they look more like a sporty boot so even more stealthy...

what is really cool about them is that they are in a reflective silverish grey...they would tend to turn white with little light

got them in size 11 (I would have prefered a 10.5 but being a special edition I guess I was already luicky enough to find them in bigger sizes), wore them at the mall last week end as shown in the pictures and no strage look but rather amazed looks as this model is not really available here in Italy....

  7. Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImageThese are my latest acquisitions. I had to order from Payless.com it seems Payless is backing away from the larger sizes. To those who are anti-platform sorry. Hope the rest of you all enjoy. They all fit well and very comfortable as heels go. Happy Holidays everyone !

    nice purchase..

  8. i finally got my aldo kotek boots yesterday and want to share my first impressions...

i got them in size 11 (which equals to a ue 42,5) but to get this size I had to order them trough a personal shoppen on the us site because aldo italy only carries them untill size 10 and I was not too sure about it...in the end the final price came out to be almost the same...

I just wore them aroung the house to test the comfort and making and I can say I am pretty happy about them

the inner wedge, which is very hidden is about 4 and something inches (external heel included) and it is well cushioned so even if one can feel the slope, it will not be too hard on the feet (I guess I will know as I will be wearing them more)

as per being stealthy, I thinks the look like biker boots so they are a perfect match with boot cut jeans, but I guess they can be styled also with skinnier jeans...

    so my suggestion is..get them...

  9. i took a look at the kotek and they are very cute...I was actually looking for a pair of boots for the winter look to match camo pants which is a sort of trend now here in italy.

and also I wanted to change a little bit from my usual withe and black nike dunk shy hi...

by the way, I just spotted this new pair of nikes "sneakerboots" and would like to share it with you guys....too bad they make only small sizes....http://sneakernews.com/2013/10/11/nike-wmns-dunk-sky-hi-sneakerboot-prm-reflective-silver/

  10. good experience then...

of course you will always find some good and some bad looks, but that is for anything in life...

as far as I can see from the pics you posted, these booties are yes on the feminine side but nothing really extreme so you can get away with them quite easily...

  11. I am most of the time in suits for business reasons and eventually I would go for a more relaxed look by wearing shirt, jacket with jeans...

current fashion trend, at least here in Italy, seem to be on the skinny type of suits with narrow ends....

on a business suit I personally find difficult to wear some type of heel which is not block boot heel even if I am seen more often  some type of men's shoes with a "growing" wedge and this could be easily matched with this type of suit

a too flared pant, like oversize pant, would be a no no in my opinion..

  12. Onyourtoes: Great to hear about the Vans, so they feel like a full 3", higher then the other brands? I have been wearing my Nike's a lot, but am tempted by the Pumas and Adidas.

I have notice the vans recently overhere as well, but even tough I like wedge sneakers a lot, there is something about these vans...would not know how to stly them since I have always considered vans to be skater shoes...
