  1. Lol! Hey!

    So here's my new plans:

I'm looking at plane tickets now for Seattle for the 3rd through the 8th. I may have an overnight layover in Minnesota at this point, but that's still in the air at this point. Seattle is a definite go.

The second trip to Pennsylvania / Ohio will probably be the 3rd or 4th weekend in August. I really want to visit and see several of you good people during that time. This trip is still somewhat in planning and is not concrete yet. I will keep you posted.

The third trip is to Chicago for sure, as I am going to be attending a wedding. This will be on the 4th of September. Let me know if that's close to you. I'll be driving so that gives me a little more flexibility to visit people along the way.

    Let me know!

  2. More great advice Steve! Thanks so much!

I think I'm going to make it separate trips. I'm going to try to visit family in Reading, PA and Harrisburg, PA the last weekend in July, with which I can hit Philly and Columbus in an order that makes sense of course.

I'm looking for a way to fly across to the west coast at this point. Those tix are expensive! I think it'll be worth it... gas would probably end up being the same price, if not more.

  3. Thanks for the heads up. I'll recalculate and see where we stand. That doesn't change the fact that I still am interested in meeting up.

    I appreciate the support!

Message me here and I'll give my number so we can further plan things out.

    Thanks Steve and Heelster.

I think I'll skip PA for this trip (sorry Jeff!) and go from VA Straight to Ohio, then Indianapolis, then Chicago... that cuts a little time.

I may do less tourism than I thought! Lol

  4. Hi people!

I'm planning a cross country tour to see the country for the first time! I am planning to pass through the northern most states on the way to Seattle.

The itinerary currently looks like this:

    Western PA

    Northern Ohio

    Southern Michigan

    Northern Indiana

    Chicago, Illinois

    Wisconsin

    Minnesota

    North Dakota

    Montana

    The Top of Idaho

    Washington

    Seattle!! Yay!

I will be posting heeling pictures here and I would love to see as many of you as possible.

The trip there will be From July 31 to August 2/3. I'm stopping for rest and tourism in Philadelphia (Hey Jeff!) and Reading, PA, Chicago (friends and family), Minneapolis, and maybe once more in Montana.

I'll be in Seattle for that first whole week of August.

I'll be coming back through from the 8th through the 10th.

Anyone interested in meeting up, please let me know so we can plan it out. No need for anything elaborate. A simple meet at a coffee shop or something would be excellent.

I'm very interested in meeting you all face to face and enjoying a good time and our passion for heels!

Tech, I will be posting pics here at the appropriate time, however, if you feel that this is more appropriate at in the High Heel meets section, kindly slide this on over.

  5. I think I've said it before but Barefoot Tess, while slightly expensive has a great selection up to size 15. Shoe Sow, Payless, Nordstrom Rack, Torrid, Avenue, , Lane Bryant, and Catherines Plus Size all go up to at least a 12 to 13. Amazon and EBay are great places to look... and never forget the thrift store!

*Show Show... not footwear pig... ;)

  6. Sure! Sorry for the late reply! There was no formal training on men in heels. The bottom line was that we were there to sell shoes and support the customer. I actually only had 3 male customers try on women's shoes while I was there and they were all flats. So sadly no great heel stories. As liberal as Payless seems to be, my store and area was very conservative and traditional. They didn't want me to wear womens shoe styles while working (which I sometimes ignored... lol). I enjoyed the experience though!

  7. Good luck being Fast Fun & Friendly... i worked at Target for 10 years... i complimented women on their shoes and even tried on their shoes while helping them try on Target shoes ( I don't recommend trying that unless you have some great ppl skills! :) ) But to answer your question... They'll take it as a compliment. .. just don't make it weird and it won't be weird! Compliment away!
