Paris Hilton? I would prefer someone a lot more classy than that and with a smaller shoe size than Paris's size 11s. Connie Chung come to mind.Oh that's another fine choice! Paris Hilton would be the choice for me! Or Alexis Bledel! Or a thousand other famous female celebs!

Britaney shure does look hot. As for her music style and lyrics- they are aimed squarely at her primary target- half crazed teenages with raging hormones. It looks like she will score an other direct hit.- and parrents will be forking out more for her music.

She does look good. Too bad we can not transplant Joe Biden's brain into her,- like they did when they put Johann Smith's brain into Eunice Branca's body in Robert Heinlein's book 'I Will Fear No Evil'.

Sorry, putting 4 or even 5 inch heels on a pair of crocs will never change the fact that they are still crocs. That is the same thing as trimming the ears of a stubborn old mule and trying to declair it to be a horse- it will always be a stubborn old mule. The heeled ofspring of crocs will still be crocs.

Hoof shoes or boots are part of the costume of those who are into the human ponygirl or ponyboy fetsh play scene.

I have been to one of Crystal Gale's concerts. She looks far better in person than she does in pictures.

Camera phones are a minor worry compared with all the security cameras out there. Usualy you can see the person with the camera phone taking your picture, and it can only be done from a short distance. The security camera could be hidden almost anywhere. It could be nearby, or at a distance zoomed in on you. You would not know who is watching you, much less where the person is watching you from. The cost of those cameras are cheep enough for almost anyone to get and install. That is the real thing to worry about.

I totaly agree with Cindy. Get all three! There is no such thing as too many high heels in one's closet.

Heels might be OK for driving around in town. However acording to some long distace professional truck driving gals that I know of at work, heels, much less boots are unthinkable to drive down state, much less accross country. They would prefure flat, soft soled shoes like tennis shoes. Safer, more comfortable, cooler, and less sweaty, they say.

To require all members both new and old to contibute regularly could easily end up being a fools move. The forums that do have this kind of requirement tend to be full of marginal, if not off topic material and spam. They also tend to be a moderator's nightmare to control. Those who do have something constructive and on topic to say, let them speak. Let the others listen, they might learn something.

I remember back in the late 70's and early 80's from The Centurions catalogs from Southern California you used to be able to get coustom made shoes and boots. You would select the shoe or boot size, style, color, heel shape and height- like you would order a meal a la cart at a restaurant. It did not take that long to get them made also- except for ballet heels. Those days are long gone. The Centurions catalogs from that era are now classics.

'5150PLB1' is right!

Those things are an abomination. A mutant strain of Crocs (& impossible to kill probably!). Do people actually exist who are moronic enough to wear them?
No sane person could have designed those shoes. The shoes had to have been designed by a commitee of patients at a laughing academy.

Crocs, finaly there is something more hidious than Birkinstocks/ earth shoes. I have also seen something called 'Mammoths' that took the worst of 'Uggs' and merged it with the worst of 'Crocs' on shoewawa.com in their ugly shoe of the week collum on August 22, 2007. The combination creates the worst looking pair of shoes ever imagined. Totaly horendous.

Those shoes do look quite nice. However, I noticed on your flickr.com page that you have a pair of ballet heels. I think the ballet heels look even better. The mary janes are a pretty shoes for being out and about. The ballet heels are beautiful ones for fun at home and especially in the bedroom.

Has anyone heard from Anita C. lately? She writes a very good story, like this one.

Not cetain if she is alive or not, but Betty Paige was the ultimate high heel icon. If she is still around, she is probably too old to wear heels. Marilyn Monroe looks like she is wearing flats when compared with Betty Paige.

To HighHeelDude and all other felow heelers who are making parental tyranny escape plans. When you are 18, please do not make the mistake of joining the Navy, like I did, or any other armed service just to get away from your parents. Now days it can easily be a fatal move as part of your all expense paid, including coffin and funeral, trip to Iraq or Afghanistan. Now, as in my time in, the armed services deeply disaproved of us guys high heeling- most likely worse than your parents. The 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' rules are a total joke and travisty. You will have to remain in the closet (or in my case the seabag) and not have any female related articles in any writen form, on a computer, or clothing. It is not worth the trouble of explaining to the closed minded idiots who are your superiors. Not to mention they will try to boot you out with a discharge that indicates that you are a pervert. I kept quiet and got out after my first tour was up. I did know several others including an officer who were caught, and suffered the consiquences. (The officer was sent to Levenworth, but he was among there things ripping off the governement big time. The guy was was an academy boot ensign- the worst kind of officer for the troops- stuck up and full of himself. A real bastard.) University may be a good escape plan, but beware of nosy roommates. Untill you know your room mate or frat brothers veiws, stay in the closet.

Johnieheel- There are multiple posts here with similar threads regarding 2 separate individuals with similar situations. The lack of clarity at the start of your post at who you directing your post to has created understandable confusion. The term 'HighHeelDude' in the middle of the post could easily be mistaken for a term of endearment to the majority of us males who are members of this forum. My apologies for responding to your original post in error.

Please do not kill your parents HighHeelDude! Be paitient and wait till you move out of the house and are on your own. There will be plenty of time for heeling freely as you wish. You are under your Moms roof and need to go by her rules for now.
I have been out from under their roof for many years and have no intention to return. I have made a point of not living in the same county or area code as they do. Just the same state. Even required one day duty visits to them are a real pain. What they seem to have forgotten, is that I have a small say, along with the rest of my siblings is to whitch nursing home they will end up being warehoused in. As far killing them goes- there is too much competition as to what disease, real or imagined, combined with their oun stupidity will do the honors first. I am content to let nature take it's course.

Au contraire, as GWL1 correctly points out in his post, the issue is resolved through: A] establishing mutual respect; B] shifting the focus from the nonsensical "morality arguments" to the focus on fashion where it correctly belongs; and C] by recognising the fact that people who strongly object to this kind of thing do not change their minds by tripping some sort of switch, but rather, through an educational process that requires time. After all, people who have harbored certain attitudes and beliefs for a lifetime will need to make a major adjustment in their thinking. It will definitely take time. Therefore, while there is no one correct answer that will "win the war", there are many correct anwers that can eventualy win the minds and hearts of the opposition.
Sorry, but it is true. I have personaly delt with this situation, and know a few others in the same situation. My folks are a bunch of fundamentalist holy than thou rollers. They have tryed to put me in a 'reeducation' program several years ago. That failed. Their minds are as closed up as ever. Any form of reeducation on their part is an imposibility. Old age has not changed their views, only made them stronger. So we are estranged. I am a student and practitioner of Sun Tzu and his book 'The Art of War'. He states that one must choose one's battles. He also states that one must know when to fight, and more importantly when not to fight. At the present time, and from the looks of it any time sooner or later, all the elements for winning the battle much less the war are just not there. This one can only be won when they are put in the ground.

There is no right thing to say to a person with a closed mind in this cercomstance. Saying nothing is also not the right thing to do. It is Catch 22 in it's purest form.

Reminds me too much of the 70's. Looks like a guy's disco shoes.
-
It is great to see a couple sharring the same style of shoes together. I also admire that you are both wearing skirts or dresses in the first picture. I just wish that there were more pictures like it.

The most narrow minded of people are usualy found at home.
Men's clothing inferior to women's
in For the guys
Posted
I think that if we were to compare the quality of materials and workmanship, mens shoe's and clothing vs women's, men's are better made and last longer. Also, the style of men's clothing changes far more slowly than women's. Last years men's suit will not be totaly out of fashion next year. However, last year's dress is totaly out of fashion for this year's woman. Hence, the lack of need for quality materials and workmanship in women's clothing. Now if we were to compare the quality of 1930's clothing materials and workmanship with the modern era, for both men and women, even with modern fabricks and methods, the tailors and dressmakers of the 30's win hands down. The modern era sadly lacks the quality of the past.
