I think it might be a good idea to split this pole into 2 catagories- Clasic High Heel Icons (pre 1970 perhaps) and Modern High Heel Icons (post 1970). There are outstanding beauties in both eras.

That style of boots belongs on a medieval court jester, not on any 21st century man.

These 'Flatforms' remind me of the Japanese geta sandals. The getas looked right with a traditional kimono. As for flatforms, they don't look right with western or oriental clothing.

They look down right ugly. A very suitable replacement for crocks on the hideous shoe list.

It looks like a 70's men's disco shoe. I think I had a pair like that back in the day.

Finaly someone has come up with something worse than crocks.

$100 for those ugly things? What a waste. You can get several good looking pairs of shoes for that kind of money.

One thing I notced about outlet stores is the hit or miss quality of service. In my area, several of the stores I go to, have only a couple of clueless cashiers up front, and were restocking the shelves after hours. The high end stores, like electronic stores had better service, but not as good as the regular stores.

Some of the items sold at outlet stores have minor defects, that will not effect the over all quality of the item. Or it could be repackaged, returned items that the companies cannot sell in their mainline stores. However, the vast majority of the items that they sell at outlet stores, are left over items from the last season and or items that have been supercieded by newer and improved versions of the product in their main line stores. Some items just do not sell at main line stores. The compainies want to get some return for their investment, while at the same time protecting the company's image and brand name. Factory outlet stores are a way to do that.

Dont they look homemade? Like someone put them together in their basement.

It may have been made by an amateur. But remember that Crocks were designed and made by profesionals. We all know how hideous they look.

Highly unlikely. Feet have very little fat in them to loose, and are mostly made of bone, skin, and mussle. Having been on yo-yo diets for years, gaining weight and loosing weight many times. The pant waist changes all the time from bigger to smaller and the other way around. The only change in shoe size I have had in 30 years was going from a standard width to a wide width- that will not be reversed.

Except many religions are not tolerant, and take the position that everyone else is a non-believer, a blasphemer, or worse, and should be killed. Theirs is the right way and everyone else is wrong. That's why there are missionaries.

Many religions teach that it is their followers duty to hate and kill all non-believers and to destroy any and all literature, and all signs and symbols of the non-believers. Since the dawn of history hundreds of wars have been fought just for the sake of religious bigotry.

Over the decades, feet are getting bigger. Back in the 1940s and 50s women's size 4 US was considered the low end for normal women's sizes. Now it is considered the high end for girl's sizes. It is now hard to find a true mature woman's style shoe in size 4- you have to go to the specialty stores and web sites for them. Either that or settle for something your 12 year old daughter would wear. Back then size 10 US women's shoes were almost unthinkable. Not so now.

Mariah Carey is hardly an idiot. Not even close when you compare her to other pop singers, her peers. She has not made the papers for the wrong reasons. Not been given an involentary 72 hour 'vacation' at the local laughing accademy. Not been to jail any time recently. Not been sent into rehab by a judge. Her dady does not control her life. Has not been caught driving drunk and cracking up her car. She has a bunch of hits and is financialy well off. Not to mention she knows how to make herself look fantastic. Not to mention her absolutely fantastic voice. Man she has got her act together.

Security guards are trained to watch for unusual behavior and an experienced one can spot a "suspicious person" within seconds of them appearing.

Firstly they see a man in drag who is wandering around aimlessly, going down dead-ends and apparently looking for something. Then they see that person return to a car with an out-of-town registration and apparently sit there for quite some time.

Now, add all that together and what do you have?

Supposing they didn't do anything and then someone got attacked, who is the first person they would think about?

Sorry, I disagree with you. I worked swing shift as a guard in a mall for 11 years. At the mall I worked at, persons in drag were common, and not a big deal. We also welcomed out of towners. If they wanted to hang out, no problem- we knew that they had money, and would spend it. The only times we harrased them was on the rare occasions when they used their cars or the restrooms for bedrooms. It was the juveniles and want to be gangbangers who were the real trouble makers.

When it comes to going out to the malls, the more crowded the better. It is easier to be lost in the crowd. Not to mention mall security will be too busy chasing the mall rats to focus on you.

I would do it only to prevent unemployment. Dealing with fat chicks with sweaty feet, that want to try on 40 different pairs of shoes, to 'get just the right pair' day in and day out, would drive me to the looney bin.

Very comfortable and ugly always seems to go hand in hand- or in this case foot in boot.
