  1. Barney I just got mine yesterday and I have the same problem. When I tried them on in the store they felt OK. But I tried to wear them for a while when I got home after about a half an hour they started I had to take them off. I will also need to try to get them stretched. The look of the shoes are great. I did measure the heels in size 13 they are over 5 1/2 and if I can get them to fit better they could be one of my fav heels

I saw your review on Payless :) Yes it looks like prolonged wear and if all fails a shoe stretcher (thanks for the advice happyinheels), i won't be beat, they are too nice heels to stay in the back of the wardrobe!

  2. My shoes arrived today from the USA and there is good news and bad news:

The good news is they are every bit as gorgeous as they appear on the Payless website, the construction is better than their $35 belies, the styling is contemporary and the 5in heel is balanced well by the 1.5in platform.

The bad news is that (and i had a bad feeling about this before i received them) they are (in my opinion) a small fit, i would say a half to a full size smaller than stated. If they bring out a wide fitting version of the shoe then this may remedy it a bit. As it is I can get them on but they feel tight around the toes. I know its the shoes and not my feet because i have 4 pairs of the Brash Komet in a regular width and they are very comfortable...these however feel more narrower and slightly shorter (Size US13)

I know several other members on here have said that they were thinking of buying a pair so i would like them to share their opinions and see if their experience differs from mine.

I will persevere and see if i can break them in a bit, but as they are not leather i don't hold out a lot of hope...a real shame as these would be in the top 5 of any shoe i have ever bought. I will buy a wide width version if one becomes available.Posted Image

  3. Yes Shockqueen the situation does seem to have improved of late, just after the financial crisis it seemed that Payless really cut back on their size 12 and 13's. At the time i couldn't understand their business sense as previously they seemed to sell out of the bigger sizes really quickly ....so why stop offering them? Especially during a depression. We are slowly getting back to the levels now of 'the good ole days' (Thank goodness for Brash!!). I would think Payless are taking notice of the fact more males are posting comments about their female shoes. It can only be a good thing!

  4. Funny enough Steve- that is the person i have recommended to fatfuzz in another thread, she is fantastic, Have used her many times, however i deal directly with her not through ebay, get a better deal that way ;)

  5. Fatfuzz... i come from the UK too, i got my toe cap heels (the pink ones) of Payless. I know a lovely lady over the pond who will buy me payless shoes on my behalf for a small fee (typically $10), I pay all the shipping costs and cost of shoes so for example the toe cap heels were $29.99, shipping was $30 and $10 finders fee + $5 paypal fees which is nearly $75 or about £50, now i can't say the quality of your pair was the same quality but that is under 1/2 priceof what long tall sally wanted. My lady also sends it so it doesn't attract customs fees. PM me if you want her email addy. I buy about a dozen pairs a year from her so we have a great customer relationship.I should mention she will buy from any store in the US not just Payless, though she may charge a little more if it requires extra effort. PS I can see why your shoes were £110, as they are Kid Suede and made in Spain, however the ones i bought are really well made and are not a cheaply made shoe and are definately worth more than the $30 they sell for in the US.

  6. Fatfuzz they sell a very similar pair to your metal toe cap shoes on Payless in America , Black, Pink and Taupe. I have the pink. Very nice shoes BTW,

Also the taupe coloured round pumps you got from Barratts... i got every colour they did bar black matt and patent and they did a lot of colours.

Red Suede, Black suede, Grey Suede, Purple Suede, Black Snakeskin, Pink Patent, and Taupe...i got a pair of each of those, very good value and comfortable. What size where the toe cap heels???

  7. I once saw this makeover program on the BBC where they had one of their newsreaders and they were instructed that because of her job they couldn't do sexy.

Speaking of British television presenters, didn't the BBC local news for London have this smart dressed Indian woman who was always wearing boots and heels?

That is probably Riz Lateef - and yes nice she does wear some nice boots and heels.

    Hope this helps!

Found a pair of Lita boots in size 14 on ebay, I know the seller as i have bought and sold with him before, he's a good bloke so they are very likely to be genuine..i believe he is or was a member on here.

  9. I never liked wedges either but liked the Lunar style on payless so much i got the Turquoise, Multi and Tomato/ Orange (more like red) options, i think they are really cool, something i thought i would never say about a wedge shoe..

  10. This picture just fits into the subject as it was taken in 1980 (even thought Slade were predominately a 70's band). Anyway Guitarist Dave Hill from Slade in a pair of what looks like 4in heeled boots.
