  1. Today before work I popped into a store to have a look at what heels they have, saw a nice pair of nude pumps.

On my way out I saw some very sexy leggings. http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/berlin-trim-legging/

This made me wonder, we on this forum and many others have already pushed past the boundrys of the norm. Would it be viable for a man to wear leggings with heels?

Anycase,I bought one, fits very nicely. And this makes me need some advice, what would be suitable to wear with it,top wise.I know what heels to wear, nude heels or wedge booties, but what tops?Leather jacket with a shirt?or something like in the next link http://www.jayjays.com.au/girls/longsleeve/246026 with some sort of jacket?Ive always just bought male clothing so have no idea what to do with such an outfit :irked:

  2. What a nice windy day it was, nice day for wearing boots  Had a meeting with a guy about possible future work for me and decided I'll wear my 5" Knee high boots with a 1.5" plat under my jeans. Had a good coffee and chat, if he noticed them or not I have no idea.Made no looks or comments about them, thats better than negative comments in my books haha. After that I went to the post office, probably about 100m from the coffee shop, walked passed a lot of people, young and old.A few people noticed the sound and looked down, but once again no weird looks etc.Spent a few minutes in the post office and then headed to a clothing store to browse around.Saw a few nice shoes but too expensive for the quality. All in all it was nice day and enjoyed wearing my boots.Oh.. turns out it wasnt about work in my line Im studying,IT.Just some business principle where you get money back for spending money and build up a network of people.:irked: Sounds a bit fishy to me

  3. Well, damn! That's ME! Holy Cow! Looks like the downtown Philly Apple Store which I occasionally frequent, though not always in thigh boots! Guess I had been captured on someone's cellphone camera, and I didn't even know it! Whoa!

    P.S.

Swung by the website and found the page featuring yours truly:

Gee! It's nice to be famous!

Caught red handed as my mom would say haha.

Very good look Jeff, especially with the jacket. And the comments are good on that site.Just hope I dont show up on a site like that :irked:

  4. I agree with you guys, shafted, sleekheels & steve,it is becuase people arent used to seeing a man in heels.Just shocked me how many people think like that. And no its not negative,no comments etc is always better than negative ones :) Sleekheels,Ill keep an eye out for a better pair of jeans. Most of my boots would look good with a tighter jean.Might try and go shopping with one of my girl friends someday, have a ladys look on outfits. Thanks for all the responses,I take everything as a constructive comment.Friday got me out of my shell more and Ill keep heeling as long as I can

  5. Hi StormClaw,

I don't want to rain on your parade but,I agree with Steve its a confident look and I also agree with hh4ever1. Even though you have told your friend you wear boots with mens clothes will she realise you mean high heel boots, and will she be shocked/embarrased when she see's you with your jeans inside the boots.

I understand what youre saying, decided anyway when she comes back from holiday Ill wear jeans over the boots anyway. She knows its high heel boots, well she should seeing as we talked about heels and showed her the site where I got the boots from. But Ill go with my jeans over the boots.

Ronni thats the thing, you need to be comfortable with what ever it is you wear. But I wont want to look like a slob while wearing heels :)

Thing is I only started public heeling a few months back, all my clothing consists of hoodies,t shirts, formal shirts, jeans and one leather jacket.

Guess I should go shopping sometime :)

  6. Just a little constructive criticism. You might want a less relaxed fit jean for those boots. And tuck the t-shirt in them. You look like you have a build that might benefit from more fitted clothing. Trust me, you don't have to have the perfect body for fitted clothing.

Funny enough,I felt the other pair was to tight, especially around the crotch area. But thanks for the tip,Ill see what I can find.Tight jeans, fine. But not such a fan of tight shirts etc.I like the white shirt look, guess I have to find a way to make that look better.

In terms of the outfit, I love the boots! You were going for a casual look but your outfit looks almost 2 casual with those boots.

Too casual?what would you advise then?

Guitar player?I try lol.Can play a few songs but thats it,I prefer picking songs.Ive really advanced with my outings from a month back.Normaly wear jeans over my boots but today I decided to tuck them into the boots.

  7. Had a very nice outing today in my 4 inch knee boots.

Started of with going to the hairdresser to cut my hair shorter.Very friendly staff, the lady that helped me is also a South African and very open minded.Had a good chat, commented on my boots and how sad she feels that she cant wear heels.Something to with her back or ankles I think.Along with her there was 4 other girls walking by going about their business. No negative looks or bad comments from them so thats a good thing.Think they got used to it the first 5mins lol :)

Next was getting petrol for my car, decided to keep the boots on.Got out,got some gas in and walked in to pay.Two guys working at the counter, the one saw my boots :) looked unsure, took him 2 seconds to get used to it and see me as a normal customer.Had a nice chat, payed and left.A few stares form other people but that was it.

After that I went to an electronic store to look at pc gaming headsets.Nothing major but there I noticed how close minded the people are,for all the things they do here in NZ and go about freedom etc they are still very close minded about a man in heels.Got a bunch of uncertain and confused looks but nothing major or negative. After 10mins in the store I went home, had nothing else to do

All and all it was a good day.I enjoyed it,really loved walking in my boots around in public. To think a few months ago I wanted to give up heeling because I wasnt courageous enough to heel in public. And now I love every moment of it.Thanks to all the big heelers on here

The boots and outfit I had on

  8. Had a very decent outing today in my 5" boots with a 1.5" platform.Went with a friend to a few boat and scuba dive places, apart from the sales people it was pretty quiet in the stores. No negative comments or looks that I noticed. After reading HappyinHeels' thread I decided to try and get out more with heels, even though it was quiet places I felt like I gained more courage after wearing boots the whole day.Hopefully this week Ill have mroe outings :)

  9. One Word in your post grabbed my attention...Alone.Many of us that start of heeling do it alone, not sure how to tell the people close to you and how theyll react. My one friend for example, totally accepting about my love for heels. The other one not,He'd die if he saw me in heels again, heels is an uncomfortable subject that we dont even discuss about women wearing heels. So for beginners,me included, it is difficult to have the full courage as when you heel with someone. But thanks to your(HappyinHeels) and all of the other big heelers' posts we get the courage.I for one would like heels to be a part of my everyday life and not just a fetish.

  10. I agree HappyinHeels. If we want society to be more accepting we need to be more open.Society will get used to seeing men in heels,at this point it is unusaul to see a man in heels. This site gave me a lot of courage to heel in public. But unfortunately sometimes my courage fails me.And the fact, theres a lot of people that knows my parents, and my parents doesnt know about my love of heels.Although I susspect they might, they havent said anything yet.So that keeps me back a bit. But do know this, when I wear my boots in public,I enjoy every damn minute :)

  11. Thanks to all the comments.I really like them a lot, first real pair of heels that drew my attention that much.

Very glamorous and elegant. Are you planning on going public with them or will you stick to the more casual boots look for now? In any case, enjoy!

Ill go public with them.Comming monday I might wear them when I go to my friends house.Depending on how cold it is. Dont want my toes to freeze :)
  12. You should have seen the faces of my ex-colleagues, when I showed up on a party last year, one of them made to his birthday.

Especially because I am known for my still military style of walking (what some of the them call "goose step") when I am wearing shoes dedicated to men. So it was really incomprehensible for them, to see me for the first time in heels. They were all surprised, started laughing, but they really knew me, so noone came to the idea or question "are you gay?". At the end they just looked at me with a little smile.

Let´s see, when we will meet this year for bbq what kind of heels I will wear then!

I can imagine.I really suprised my friend the first time I went to his house in heels.Wore the boots in my avatar, but same with you,he knew me good and Im his best friend,so he says lol.So it really didnt bother him, since then Ive been over to him a few times in heels. Keep us updated about those BBQ's :) all will go well since you broke the first barrier.

  13. Nice look Hansi. The heels are really not that bad for irritated looks :) Google translates directly, not using the right syntax etc.In Afrikaans we have words with 3-4 meanings,it depends on the syntax and there for Google gives you that translation lol

  14. I think wearing the boots under jeans would be better for a first outing. Then see what your friend thinks of your outfit/choice.

Thats what I decided on,and mention I want to wear it outside my jeans but I need skinny jeans and then go shopping for jeans :).But alas the outing was canceld. We both have to study for exams but the work load was a lot more than we thought.Ill definitley post an update once we go for coffee.
