  1. Good look there Jeff.Like the boots.Good to see Im not the only one that considerd a handbag,my one girl friend said a while back jokingly she thinks I should get a handbag since I keep forgetting ym keys everywhere.Might suprise her :) Keep the jaunts going :)

  2. Nice purchase StormClaw, they look like a lot of fun to wear. If they were closed-toe I'd say tights would be an option, but with the peep-toe barefoot has to be the way to go, right?

Fully agreed, barefoot is the way to go.Especially if I wear it with jeans.Tried them on with stockings and that didnt do it for me :) So barefoot it is and yeah, they are fun to wear. Will have a go at public heeling tomorrow before class.

Thanks MR.X (hehe sounds like Im speaking to some villian in a movie) I prefer the platforms, especially at this height.

  3. StormClaw:

Will you win the Cup this time?

No more excuses at all :)

Hehe do you think Im a kiwi?:) Weird how a lot of people say no more excuses haha.

I think the All Blacks have a good chance, but so do the the Springboks. Must say,I was realy suprised by the Irish winning the Ausies.Argentina still has a shot in getting past the pools if they win the next games.

  4. Today I decided its time to buy a pair of heels for regular heeling since summer is comming and I mainly have boots.

My favourite store got some beautifull heels in,I do like these styles.

I tried on all three but for some reason certain shoes really hurts me.Theres a bone on my right foot by my 2nd toe from right that moves, and it really hurts like hell.

Anyway, tried them on instore and the assistant was very helpfull.Decided to go for the third pair, black open toe.It feels teh best and doesnt hurt at all but I am very happy with my purchase :) Will give them a go in public soon.

  5. Not sure how many of you follow rugby but the RWC opening was awesome :) A lot of effort was put into everything and a lot of beautifull heels everywhere, was a good sight :)

Ill see if I can get the opening ceremony on video and some pics of everything but this here gives you an idea.

  6. Well, I wore my thigh high boots not once, not twice but THREE times this past week, and even though temps each day hovered in the low 80's, surprisingly, it wasn't that bad. Of course, I was wearing a miniskirt on each trip and that might have helped with the comfort factor. Heh! I think that the hardest part of the endeavor for me was getting past the long established mindset that it's crazy to wear boots in sweltering, summertime heat, that I'd melt in the darn things, and maybe if I wore tight jeans instead of a skirt, I might have.

Must say Jeff,I admire ThighBootGuy's and your courage, but I dont see myself in a skirt in public so Ill have to put my boots away for summer. It doesnt get too hot here in NZ,just damn humid. So a pair of jeans with heels will be the way to go.Did a quick outing monday with a pair of jeans and heels.Looked really good, weather was pretty warm and humid already but I wasnt too hot,so Ill stay with that :)

  7. They really have a big range.Wow and not too bad on pricing.Hope they ship internationally, didn't see anything but I sent them an email anyway. I did notice some of the shoes go to size 11.Sizing might depend on the style perhaps?

  8. Thanks for sharing Thighbootguy.I admire you and the rest on here that would be able to keep their cool. I for one would not have been able.My blood starts boiling in situations like that. Good outing and good responses :irked:

  9. @ Bernheels and hhboots:In those photos are the top that I bought, the second photo is the whole outfit I have chosen to venture out in. I dont have a slim build either so I decided to go with a puffy sweater top. I do like the top that I bought.Wore it today just over my jeans, pulled it to about thigh high, under a top.Might go and get another one, black or white.

  10. For me I make sure they are always kept clean.

Im with legs on this one.A few weeks ago was the first time I got my heels stuck in wet muddy grass.Wasnt happy when I saw the mud on them.

So thats a no from me :irked:

  11. I sometimes wear leggings at home with my heels and I think they look and feel great, but I've not worn them out and about. I totally agree with what most others have said about going for a long-line top, not so much to hide what's behind but to hide the bump in the front.

That my friend is precisely what I want to hide  My bum showing, not such a problem, but the bump at the front,oh yea that'll be a problem.

simple way to see what goes is to watch the women in leggings and see what looks good, what doesn't.

I wear flat ankle boots or heels, sandal or boot, long tops, either cami, tunic or jumper/ cardigan style.

The usual comments are favourable, and don't draw undue attention when out and about.

I took your tip to mind and as I walked around uni on my way to class and back, I took notice of those wearing leggings. Some stylish girls aroung uni thats for sure. Most of them wore either a long tunic, knitted top that drops to the legs or a tunic top with a jacket.

After I class I went to the mall into the shop, one from the site in my previous posts, just to look around. The manager greeted me,girl my age.And I decided what the hell,Ill ask her a few tips on what to wear.Very open minded, friendly and supportive. Some people just want the sale. Not her,she even recommended other stores to try.

Like you all, she recommended something long like #5,#9,#10.Open or under sweater tops etc.Unfortunately I didnt find anything. The things I tried had very small sleeves.Couldnt get my arms through, damn the gym.So Im thinking of sleevless under a sweater top or something with bigger sleeves. She was very helpfull anyway, might go and show her what I did with her tips when I get something from the bigger branch :irked:

  12. Taking all the tips and info from you guys I had a look through the day on the website from the shop where I got the leggings. I kind of get that the leggins are a very casual look, with the tunics, sweaters etc. Great for me lol

So I had a look, saw a few sweater tops/hoodies that looks nice.Either one of these four:

    1 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/jasper-fleece-6/

    2 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/beta-fleece-2/

    3 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/amy-hoodie-7/

    4 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/amy-hoodie-2/

With one of these two underneath for the cover issue.Good length, well it will be if I get my size lol.

    5 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/ever-after-tank-1/

    6 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/chelsea-ls-tunic-top/

    Or something like this?

    7 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/detroit-raglan-tee-1/

    8 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/spliced-luxe-top/

These are nice lengths but look too feminine I think, perhaps with a jacket theyll look better.

    9 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/chelsea-ls-tunic-top-5/

    10 http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/chelsea-ls-tunic-top-3/

Numberd them for better feedback :irked:

  13. Thanks for all the advise guys.Ill definitely go with something long, since itll be the first time wearing leggings.I think Ill keep it back a bit, thighbootguy, jeffb and loswabs you have some courage to wear skirts and very bright tops.Bright stuff...not really for me lol.Ill leave the skirts for a while as well. Ill go and have a look tomorrow at what the stores have.Take the leggings with and see what looks best :irked:

  14. Absolutely no doubt those leggings and shoes go well together. As for what top to wear when out heeling, that is a bit more difficult given you usually wear guys clothing. You could try a women's long sleeve tunic top _Witchery have several. Will still have strong femme look though.

I like you usually dress male , but recently purchased some leggings by Voodoo which look a lot like ultra skinny jeans and have teamed with guys black sweater and winter jacket + 5" black patent pumps. Also how about a pair of really tight skinny women's jeans?

Thanks,Ill have a look at some long sleeve tunics.I have a pair of tight jeans that Ill wear, but Im thinking of wearing these leggings, around home for now and when I have enough courage out in public. I saw some nice sweaters and jackets.Might go and have a second look.
