  1. I've always liked looking, but recently discovered that I'd like to try wearing. Wow, its nice. Discovered I really like ankle strap heels. Something about the look and feel of that thin strap around my ankle, wow.

Definitely agree with you, especially about the ankle-straps. Even though I do wear heels with no ankle-straps, they are most certainly HOT.

    Welcome

  2. @Softmover: Yea, I almost expected some kind of odd look from at least one colleague but it seems no one noticed. I imagine if the pants were regular length showing off the boot a little then someone might have said something. As it is, the boot is pretty well covered up. In fact, I didn't realize how covered up it was until I took this picture a moment ago:

    (clicky!)

A better shot of the boots:

    Those boots look really nice.
  3. Welcome:

This place is great for advice and everything. I have had lots of luck ordering high heels from Ebay. Sometimes you can find really great deals on heels in the higher sizes (10 on up). I usually have no trouble finding size 9 (same as my wife). However, there are more sites to order from. You can even search on here for more sites and members themselves selling high heels.

    Videos were cool.

  4. Wife says high heels look "hot" on me. I am talking about Domina 402, my blue 5.5" heels, platform boots, and my Ellie platforms with the spikes. She jokingly says that I am weird. I return with her being more weird for marrying me knowing the things I am into like that. I do not wear heels in public.

I personally do not think that I look "hot" in heels. Like most of us here I just love how they feel and look.

  5. Sorry, Dr. Shoe. I just had to. But the thumbnail below shows the shoes Doc is talking about. As a little comparison, I've posted 2 pairs of shoes that he...not necessarily attempts to connect to. Rather, it's to get some point across; the point, of course, I've yet to comprehend in the proper words as of yet.

But it bugged me because...Okay, they have some HUGE platforms, and the heel probably doesn't do them any justice. But I don't believe they're really meant for "a job as a hooker" at all. Before I went onto the Bakers website, I really thought these would be fair shoes to wear to an interview to, as stated in that thread, let them know I was willing to spend the money in order to receive the money (or if it was a different message, please correct me on that). Aside for just the interview, I really saw the shoes as shoes to wear only on special occasions, and a visit to the gas station or a grocery store trip wasn't special enough, in my opinion. Heck, a wedding would be the best, as I see it.

Again, I could be wrong. I could be ranting; and the shoes could be... *gulp* slutty. Any thoughts on this?

I like all three of those.
  6. No...sorry babe. They look awful, and just prove my point really. A pair of girly stilettos, or a pair of 'Domme' fetish sandals would be the way to go. Or.....classic black pumps (or even 'peep-toe' pumps), with a high, thin heel.

    Like these........

    Those look really good.
  7. I wonder, with negative articles on the 'higher heeltrend' is bad for womens feet and some whispers that the trend of towering heels is over, what the trend will be: lower heels again or less platform or will designers be stubborn and create even higher heels with higher arches that most women would not able/dare to wear?

Already in the highest heels women can show themselves off and get more attention wearing higher heels than all the other women around and wear them with pride (despite a little unstableness maybe)... So it would be certainly a challenge for some to wear even higher/higher arched heels if that would be the next 'high'...

How far would the designers go? Just adding more platform as the Louboutin Daffodile to get heels of 6" and higher (which effectively are not much more than 4" heels) or really getting higher arched heels that exceed the 5" mark/arch and maybe women would really challenge designerheels of 'fetish-shoe-heights' like 6" without platform or maybe 8" with 2-2.5" platform? :)

    Any thoughts?

Eight inch heels with a 2.25 inch platform sounds really nice.
  8. Picked these Madden Girl Chapels up the other day at Marshalls, for the princely sum of $24.95. MG shoes are hit and miss for me size wise - this is the third pair I've bought, a pair of slingbacks were too big, a really cute pair of print pumps were too small but these are just right - and shockingly comfortable for an almost 5" heel (probably down to the platform).

Those are cool looking, not really my style, but nice.
