Looked like a rear-set to me. A shifter setup moved back from the normal position. Not used to seeing sifters mounted toward the rear unless it's a sport bike here in the states. Most bikers I see have the shift mounted way forward via external linkage - typical Harley style.

I'll have to go back and look again. I know with my Shadow, which has the lever arm right into the gear box. I have a hell of a time even wearing my Justin boots. Seems to be planned for a flat sole boot. The CB750 Cafe I have been working on has a set of linkage mounted behind the gearbox like the bonneville street racers were setup. With this I can easily change the lever positions to suit what I would be wearing in a comfortable manner.

oh thank you, I did not know that; I do not know much about bikes anyway

  2. if women would know how much their acceptance would mean for their hubbies, they for sure would take it easier. though women date men for other reasons than their appearance or what they wear which might be different to men dating women  - it is still always difficult to cope with ones prejudices... It is normal that it would be hard first if one haven´t been faced this issue before, for the simple reason it is *different*. Still as soon one is able to recognize the personality beyound of the heels (and be honest enough to accept: women will never like you BECAUSE of high heels!) it should not be a problem. one more note: there are so MANY men wearing high heels, but the most of them in candid, that I sometimes really ask my self where the problem is. No courage? no self esteem? Very often it is also men themselves making a problem of something women would not care. I understand and think it correct for those who do it for sexual reasons only - it is a private issue,- but for the most high heel wearers it seems something beyond of erotic. If all those males who do wear heels simply would DO it naturally, public or not, this question would be so unimportant. Remember women wearing trousers in 19 century... they just did it! today nobody cares...

  3. Thank you Pata for the link! They look a little bit similar to Di Marnis, especially how the heel is fixed to the shoe. They are cheap and look (sorry!) a little bit cheap, too. Maybe not something I would like my lady to wear?

well the question is if the heels really look that cheap or just the pictures are a little bit unhappy?

otherwise, no doubt, it is a nice luxury feeling to wear designer heels but very often the tremendous price is at 50% or more not justified and at lower prices one can find great quality too!

  4. If you noticed, the shifter was mounted behind it's usual position. Referred too as a rear set found on bikes like that when they are set up as a cafe racer. I'm looking to do something similar to an old Honda CB750. Might look into setting the positions of the shifter and brake so that I could wear a pair of stiletto boots on it, or something similar.

    not sure what you mean?

there was nothing modified, an absolutely normal gear shifting (though of course not very convenient with balletboots).

  5. I like sandwich platforms! well those shown here are not that good looking imo. but there are some new style - very glamourous mules and sandals (like those from gml, ernest, mi piaci): WOW :silly:

anyway, I ´ve seen boots of exactly this style, and I think they are quite good looking! and yes, the boots are cheap made and no good quality materials.

here the original shop: http://myworld.ebay.de/golden6_de/ and inspite the phantasy prices on *buy-it-now* (it seems to be a very popular method at ebay the last months, the shops making their articles look more precious than they are at prices of 10x of what they are worth?) those shoes go away for appr. 30 euro, boots at 50 or below.

but check the the YSL style platform heels! I for sure would like to get a pair - just to test!

  6. I guess you get what you pay for..

well, not really, at least not if it is about walkability of extreme heels heights... for shoes under 12 cm quite for sure, but not for heels above!

but of course nice materials and good handcraft (wearability) cost!

what you pay for is mostly material, eventually name (brand/designerheels) and very often it is shops getting the bulk of the money you paid for a pair of shoes (not the manufacturer). the last is getting better since online market lowers the prices (and makes real shops hardly able to survive). but still, at these heights manufacturers often do not even care if the shoe would be walkable at all... + walking such heels outdoor is even more an extreme strain for the heel actually the most shoes cannot survive.

  7. I´d say it just looks there like that. it is also always a difference between high heels walked (which makes shoes look less perfect, especially at these heels height) or just sitting and posing or just-a-shoe-pictures. but, about the heelscup, this problem might appear. but it is not about extreme heels height. every foot every shoe model is different, thats all.

  8. Lol, there is nothing special about that modification - just normal balletboots with fur worn inside and visible outside and everybody can do it this way.

we *sectioned* a pair of mukluk boots for that but this saison fur leg warmers are offered at plenty everywhere so this can be done even a less destructive way:

check this and have fun *tuning up* your boots: http://cgi.ebay.de/Damenstulpen-Fell-Stulpen-Beinstulpen-Legwarmers-Pelz-/110626022990

  9. I believe Blicker´s in Hamburg offer icone shoes (not sure about boots though)... but haven´t been lately there and at the first sight did not see any in their online shop. but calling and asking them might be worth it as not all of the *real offers* are in their online shop.

  10. no, it is not me, I am just the photographer... allessandra is a friend of mine and actually it was about her glamour wedding dress in fact but shoes are important too, right? LOL. ... as to me personally I think those golden, red or black shoes of this style- without rivets -more sophisticated and glamourous. but it is just about taste, of course.

  11. they are not pleaser, but probably the same manufacturer making kassiopeya balletheels resp. the cheap platform heels on ebay now... I have seen these ponyboots in real, and well, it is just really probably all the same shoe but built without a heel. quite easy walking as well though more dangerous for those who do not have strong and flexible ankles. still looking more like fashion than fetish resp. real ponyheels.

Indeed; quite agree with your assertion that sitting with a careful bit of staging could create a more dramatic effect, and that is what we are seeing in many of the pictures.

However there are still a number of photos with women standing / walking not leaning or propping themselves, such as this one; http://www.retroxotique.com/photos/Fashion/RetroShoes/S2/My_old_pic_3.jpg I am quite simply in awe of the extreme arch in the womans foot and the practically vertical mid section to the sole.

    R

once again - I do not know. I would be sure somebody really can walk a shoe (and not speaking about elegance) if I see it real or at a video, to make it look like this for a photo is really not difficult even if somebody cannot.

also one cannot estimate such photos as long as you do not have any data. People were smaller then, and at a full-figure photo of a girl of 1,50 cm height a 5 inch heel looks awfully high even if she has the same shoesize of eu 39 than somebody at 170 cm.

the same about the extreme looking arch- some just have this *extremely arched looking* type of feet but per se it does not mean the shoe is really arched nor that the persons really can walk extreme high heels.

nevertheless, I do love that look of the shoes :silly:.

I still think, if somebody will make something nice like that, it would be elite heels ... Loved these attached (hidden platform) heels... look how different it looks depending of the angle, all three are the same type shoe! ... and if would be a 7 inch heel, eventually a chunkier heel, it might be a dream of a vintage-look shoe, what do u think?

About ten years ago I ,,,,.

did you purchase them? would you like to show us some scans of them then?- I am sure alot of us would appreciate!

  13. no, and the quality is not comparable. the heels of kassiopeya balletboots become less stable and wobbly after a short walk; the *inner-life* is less well made- seams beeing hard and hurting; not that good sizing as well. I would not recommend these for beginners with balletheel walking ambitions. still the type of the shoe is very similar to the pleaser devious balletheels. also at the height of the heel which might be too long for the most for the walk is doubtlesly more attractive than lsb or punitiveshoes balletboots for those who like it *higher*, though the quality as already said, is worser. also a plus: especially at the ebay auctions the prices are really low! and for good fetish looks- who cares, that they aren´t well walkable, right? quality balletheels arent an everday shoe anyway as well. kassiopeya offer colours pleaser do not have in that combination- like pink, or red for ankle or knee high boots, or red thigh high boots both pvc look and leather look, white- as ankle boots, knee high and thigh high boots etc. I avoid walking those balletboots as I care for my feet but as to style and optics I definitely like that brand :silly:

  14. well my personal optimum temperature is between +16° C and + 23°C. Too hot for me when above and I am freezing when below that.... So it was not that cold subjectively may be but yes too cold for me  @Trolldeg, IBL70: :silly::-?
