I am not sure I would ever find the desire or need for clutch or shoulder bag. That's just carrying things a bit too far for me.
Oh dear, was that an intentional pun?
-
Where do you get those? I can find only PU.
-
On the general subject of new heel taps, are there ones that are softer and therefore won't make impressions on a wood floor? I know PU is softer than metal (!) but is it still hard enough to make a mark? Any recommendations for how to avoid marks (apart from not wearing stilettos)?

Hi all, this is my last post as Im giving up the wearing of womens shoes for good. This was a very useful forum and I wish all you guys and girls the best of luck.
I think a lot of us have tried this. Most start again and have to buy another lot of shoes. I know, I've been there.

Hello, why shouldn't we go easy?? Nice to see another girl here, especially from England. I'm sure you'll fit in here very well, and I hope you feel free to contribute as often as you can. We'd love to hear more about you.

Where do you get wedge heels that high?? I'd love to find some - so long as they've no platform or possibly just a small one.

Another thought that just jumped to mind - put him in somewhat reasonable heels (3 or 4 inches) and take him and his wife out shoe shopping!
Chris
Exactly my thought! Needn't be just shoe shopping, though. End up in a Chinese restaurant and say, 'You've got your chopsticks.'

JinxieKat, you are writing this as if you were swimming a pool of shoes !!
How is that your poor husband has received only sneakers.
Check the last time she visited the site.

Welcome. You have a big advantage over most here in that she bought you the shoes! If she's got this hang-up about 'gay' you have a lever over her. I can see you'll just have to move house.

Where did the Aesthetic High Heels Men's Fashion site come in this history? I remember being on that site and this 'new' site being touted. Lots went over to HHP although many lingered, including Highluc, preferring the format of the old site.

Last new pair of boots, before I get locked up for buying to many pairs.
Is that why these have got chains on?...

I was married for eighteen years. I now like my freedom.
It's been said that marriage is like a bird cage. There are those on the outside trying to get in and those on the inside trying to get out. Every relationship has its ups and downs. I've seen people who have clung to their freedom (ie not get married) all their lives and then feel lonely and bitter in their old age. Conversely I've seen others who have enjoyed every minute of it!
I'm fortunate in having a very happy marriage, but I can look back on times when the seven-year itch was getting to me.

I didn't log on for several years. Only in the last year did I try to remember my log-on details and participate again. More than half my posts are in the last few months. Many people have come and gone. Possibly like me they'll be back in a few years' time!

I will never marry, because my freedom is who i am. And i could never be with a woman that thinks like that, i have no girlfriend and glad of that.there is more to life than having a wife, and having girlfriends.
Your choice. I sympathise to a certain extent, and I think a lot of males are more reluctant to commit themselves to a relationship than females are because they're afraid of losing their freedom.
Just don't be surprised, though, if after all your resolve you meet someone who will cause you to moderate your thoughts!

Wow, just realised it's ten years ago today that I joined this site.

Glad you feel that way Roxy! It's always awesome to get a girl's perspective on situations. In general you look at thongs totally different than we men do!
How do you know how she looks at thongs?...

Nice... Where from, what are they called? Do they go upto a US11+?
They won't ship them abroad, unfortunately. Zappos also do them, and yes, they go up to US11.

I know, t'was a joke...
I know, I saw the smiley.

Funny thing. I usually always get a pain in my lower back when standing for a long time for example at concerts, but yesterday when I was waiting for the queen for over 2 hours, I did not get any pain. I attribute this to my heels.
Exactly the same for me. It's standing or shopping that causes the biggest problem.

This might have been in another publication, but I happened to see it yesterday.
Not my style, but interesting! There are other links from this page.

Wow, has your wife suffered with intermittent blurry feet for long?
She should see a doctor about that...
Probably camera shake! I think I'd be the same if my wife wore heels like that. Sadly she doesn't like heels more than about 3 inches, and I wouldn't ask her to wear anything higher as she has a bit of trouble with her knees.

Just to pass on something I heard at the weekend, not in the context of high heels but regarding having the courage to set up in self-employment when a lot of your friends in dead-end jobs ridicule your daring to step outside their comfort zone: On average, only ten people will cry at your funeral. Why should you bother what people think who don't care enough about you to cry? Also, if it's raining, a lot fewer will go to the burial (obviously doesn't apply to cremation!) because they don't want to get wet. Sound familiar? It's not only heelers who have hang-ups about what other people think!

There don't seem to be any in the UK on Ebay, but I'll search elsewhere. Nice to know they are available at least.
