Histiletto
Like most of us, I didn't know him personally and only saw his influence on the fashion market. Although he was retired for the last 6 years, his designs will continue to echo his immortal praise for years to come.
Wuornos
He will be missed. R.I.P. Metallic Gold Tribute(s): http://awomanandhershoes.blogspot.com/2008_04_13_archive.html
roz
I have those gold Tributes that I bought from Browns. They're the only pair of YSLs that I have but they're one of my favourite pairs of shoes. They're so elegant but turn heads whenever I wear them. Although I know he was retired, you have to appreciate the amount of influence he had not only in designs like this, but in so much of fashion. He will be sorely missed but I suspect his legacy and influence will last for many more years yet.
roniheels
I missed this post earlier. YSL introduced the trousers and trouser suits for women which many women incorporated the boots and high heels with them. That look inspired the look I like to display when wearing high heels. He was a fashion inovator and respected and appreciated the woman's point of view.
