Cheers Fred The heels are 4". There is a small hidden platform. She's already worn them 5 or 6 times. She has bad feet and it's rare for her to be comfortable in heels for very long. No question that quality has a lot to do with long-term wear comfort. We have a new Nordstrom's in our area. She's dropped a lot of $$$ on shoes. On her 1st foray, she spent $2000 on just three pairs. Prada Boots - Low block heel Latitude Femme ankle boots - Western style with mid-heel. Very cool funky.
