polkadot Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Original and tested info about comfy high heel shoes: http://www.medianet.pl/~andrew/shoes/comfy_heels.htm
Bubba136 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 My wife taught me to be very pickey about the shoes that I buy. Her main point is to try on any shoes you are thinking about buying before you pay for them. Always look for shoes that are well made and, most importantly, that fit properly. If the shoe doesn't fit, don't wear it -- ill fitting shoes will ruin your feet. And, some conditions caused by wearing the wrong size shoes, especially shoes that are to small, will persist forever. Beware of cheap shoes. Her rule of thumb is if you are paying $10 for a pair of shoes, you're going to get a pair of $10 shoes - quality, fit and style. Of course, I don't follow her advice very often. I do for shoes that I am going to wear on a daily basis for hours and don't for the styles that I am not going to wear very long or out in public. That works for me. And, I am sure the same strategy works for other members, here. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
