Priscilla
I have a visit to London in the next few weeks, and am thinking of wearing my stretch pvc boots - 3" blade heel - under a pair of straight leg jeans throughout my visit. I did this in Australia last year and got NO comment. (don't know whether I was relieved or disappointed.) Anyway, does anyone know of a good cheap shoe shop in or around London that stock English size 9-10 heels where I can try some heels on? I have used Brantano in Southampotn before; they are both cheap and have a full range of sizes. Also, anyone wear heels in London regularly? Any reaction? Possible meet? shyguy
London covers a huge area Priscilla, but there will be shops around for you to visit it in most parts. Whereabouts are you going or are you doing a short tour of London? It will help people give you an answer on meeting up too. By the way if thats your boots in the avatar, they look great. Priscilla
Unfortunately, no i don't own these lovely boots. They are available from Ultimate Shoes http://www.ultimate-shoes.com/ I expect to go into the West End, probably Oxford Street and around there. I might also go out to Camden Market where there are some fetish shops, I think.

Firefox
There are loads of us who wear heels out on the streets of london and elsewhere in UK regularly. The outfit you describe will blend in nicely. Post in the thread when you are coming and we may be abe to meet up for a drink and a chat if you want. genebujold
Actually, I can feel a heelmeet coming on.... If so, I hope it'll be late summer / early fall with plenty of advance notice so that I can change my schedule and participate, as we're planning on visiting London around that time. xaphod
Gene I suggest that we make it the 3rd weekend in September. The Winter boot styles will be in the shops and Summer styles should be on sale. Oh, BTW, this should really go in the 'Meetings' section. Priscilla
I expect my visit will be early in March, almost certainly during the week, as it will be a work related visit. What I'd like to do is go and try on some summer strappy sandals, but I am concerned that they will not be in the shops yet, and anyway, I fear that the shops will not have my size (I am a UK9, but in boots I have been advised to wear uk10's). BTW, should that be the same for sandals, court shoes etc.? And odes anyone know of a shop - other than a specialist tv shop - that has reasonably priced shoes for sizes above UK8? Firefox
You could try Evans, Barratts, Faith or Brantano for larger sizes (9 and some 10). Most places will do some 9's but the choice is somewhat limited. Sandals and summer styles will be out by Feb/March.
