Skirted-UK Posted December 29, 2004 Author Posted December 29, 2004 My first time "out" was in a navy blue business suit, but 5" red patent pumps which looked great to me but WAY too obvious and I felt too conspicuous. I've since bought the same in plain black (not patent) and the only chance I will have is out of town in a dark business suit. My question is how obvious or noticeable do you think that will be for outdoor walking at shopping areas and possibly a shoe store visit? Thanks, Wineanddine It depends on whether it is a skirt or trouser suit? "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave ! " The Eagles, "Hotel California"
Skirted-UK Posted December 29, 2004 Author Posted December 29, 2004 I appreciate where Skirted is coming from. You do have to consider your circumstances. But there's a big difference between wearing "women's" clothes (bras, skirts, low necklines, attempting to appear as woman etc) and wearing coordinating heels as a man. I work in a small town, and we have some local clients, and I wear heels at meetings, and its business as usual. Somewhere in between these two extremes fall a lot of us. I would not try, or indeed want to pass as a woman and I don't want to wear heels as a fashion statement. I just like to wear a skirt and heels occasionally for fun. As I am over 6' I would be slightly conspectus. A lot of women have said to me in the past that they are too tall to wear heels, well I certainly am, hence the discreet heeling in deserted locations. I would think that gay single men are the group that can most easily wear heels in public, because the general public in their ignorance expect them to wear women's clothes anyway. As I said earlier, it depends entirely on your situation and your reason for wearing heels, whether you do it discreetly or not. "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave ! Firefox Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I think stilettos and business trouser suit would be fine for shopping areas etc but the right body shape is needed to carry off stilettos. You see VERY few fat women wearing stilettos. Not intended as a comment on fat women, but just a fact of life. On the other hand a suit, stilettos, a dark place, soft ground, and tree roots are not to be recommended either
heelsRus Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I think stilettos and business trouser suit would be fine for shopping areas etc but the right body shape is needed to carry off stilettos. You see VERY few fat women wearing stilettos. Not intended as a comment on fat women, but just a fact of life. Don't get all PC on us I'm a tad, um, well, there's a spare tire down there. Mostly from working too much and not getting exercise, but that's my problem. I'll wear silletto's if I please. Not outside of course - but only because you guys haven't quite convinced me it's ok :-) If fat/larger/obese people are to wear sillettos, what would the physics look like? 200+ lbs on four very small supports. Doesn't sound stable, and most people, regardless of weight, like to feel stable on their feet. So maybe your observation is just good common sense in action?
wineanddine Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I think Firefox makes a legitimate point. In my case that shouldn't be a problem at all. And besides everybody knows that stilettos have a very slimming effect. My wife has always raved about how good I look and walk in stilettos but she has no idea I've been outside in them (albeit only once). In response to the earlier comment it's just a guys regular business suit, with pants. Thanks for your input Firefox. Wineanddine

Dude Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 i had a paperroute once. i usually got there at around 5 in the morning so there were almost no people around. it was a walk of app. 1 hour. i once walked in 2 inch wedges and i walked once in 3 inch boots. the second one made a lot of noise because of the wooden heel. eventhough there were no people around it was a thrilling adventure. especially when i began the rout. i've grown out of those heels now and i don't dare to buy new ones. the good ol'times
Dawn HH Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Dude:-) What do you mean---who is stopping you from buying new high heels now? Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Dude Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 nobody. but i have to hide them because i still live with my parents. i've thought about ordering shoes but was afraid my parents would open the package.
balletboot2000 Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 This is not the best picture in the world, but the flash would have spoilt the effect. http://www.freefilestash.com/userfiles/balletboot2000/P12%2Cout.JPG I love the feel of that ultimate lift!
genebujold Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 ...there's a big difference between wearing "women's" clothes (bras, skirts, low necklines, attempting to appear as woman etc) and wearing coordinating heels as a man. Couldn't agree with you more, Firefox, and I strongly suspect the need behind the deed is vastly different between wearing discrete heels as a man and wearing fetish heels, or attempting to appear as a member of the opposite sex.
genebujold Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 At the second christmas day I saw in TV the James Bond movie "You live only twice". An imbecile title, because the simple truth is "You live only once" I wish you a happy new year micha NOTHING about Bond, James Bond, is "imbecilic." Ever. Then again, what do I know? I'm just a die-hard fan of Bond since having read Casino Royal in the early 70's... I'll be the first to admit there's a fair number of hokie scenes in the Bond films, most of them involving Roger Moore and JAWS.
Dawn HH Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 Dude:-) Now I see your point as I didn't realize that you still lived at home and have to be descrite about buying heels. And yes, your parents could open a package meant for you so be careful unless you want to tell them what it is all about. Balletboot2000:-) That is quite a shadow pic that you took. Shadows always make your heels look much taller. Genebujold:-) I too, am a great 007 fan. I have recorded about half of the 007 films when they have come on TV. I watch them over and over. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Dude Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 i'm not yet to the point where i want to explain to my parents why i ordered high heels. i think my dad would black out if i told him . my mom would understand it if i explained why i like them but it would take a lot of explaining.
Dawn HH Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Dude:-) I see your point, but I was curious if you own any heels at the present time and are keeping them hidden from prying eyes. Is your Avatar pic your legs or something from the net? Nice pic, never-the-less. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Dude Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 i own some boots at this time but i can't wear them very often cause the parents may not see them. the pic in the avatar are the kind of heels i would like to own. wish they were my legs
Dawn HH Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Dude:-) Thanks for your interesting up-date. I appreciate it. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
dressboots Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 I too have gone on night time adventures but soon tire of them for this reason. I just want to wear whatever shoes I wear as a matter of course for the day/occasion/etc. It is to say going out on a night time foray at first is a great experience but soon it comes down to that the only reason I am doing this is for the heeling. In daily life there are times when wearing shoes/boots is the thing to do so why not (heels) style of one's preference. The "heeling" is no longer the reason for being out in the world. It feels right. Don't get me wrong, however. I completely understand that some cannot go about their daily lives in heels, for reasons of family, emplyoment or other reasons. My job requires a conservative presentation - one that would likely cause problems for me if I were to show up to work in 2" or higher heels (aside from cowboy boots made for men which I could probably get away with but would still raise some eyebrows of the management - cowboy boots are not my style anyway). Remote location heeling is good practice. As has been mentioned before what better way to draw attention to oneself as doing something odd than to look like wearing heels is foreign? classic style high heel boots
Skirted-UK Posted January 10, 2005 Author Posted January 10, 2005 Wearing heels and women's clothes in remote locations can be a lot of fun, but it can turn into a nightmare sometimes, like it did for me one night when I was 18. I had not long had my first car which enabled me to go up to the moorland about 20 miles away from my home instead of the woods nearby. I used to go up there and wear a pair of 3" heel slingbacks with a long fifties straight black skirt, which was my entire crossdressing collection at the time. I used to hide the car (a Morris Minor) off the road and go and change by some gorse bushes about 200 yards from the Road. There was a hard track nearby were I could wear the heels. But one night I thought I would venture further a field in the skirt and I changed the heels for a pair of Gumboots which I had cut down so that the tops did not come up under my narrow skirt. The problem with this location is that it is 1300 ft ASL and the weather can change very quickly. I was walking around enjoying the moon lit night when suddenly the mist came down and everything looked the same for 100 yards. I headed back to wear I thought I had left my jeans, but after about 30 minuets I realised that I was lost, In a ladies straight black skirt! I headed in what I thought was the right direction and after some time I came upon a leat (A man made stream to supply water to farms )and decided to follow it in the direction that the water was running, hoping that it would lead me to civilisation. I followed the leat for hours and by now the novelty of stumbling around the moors in a straight skirt was starting to wear off. I was desperate to get out of the skirt before daybreak, I felt like Dracular trying to avoid the first rays of the sun! But just when I was resigning myself to still being in the skirt at daybreak, I came across a stone wall. I followed the wall and quickly came upon a gate with a lane leading away from it. I hurried down the lane and burst out into a village. I immediately recognised the village, it was about 3 miles away from were I had left the car and it was now 3 O'clock in the morning. I headed quickly out of the village with my tight skirt hitched up above my knees and my anorak hood up over my head. I felt a right Pratt I can tell you. I had a very tedious walk back to were I had left the car, by now it was very cold and I had to chose between walking with small steps or cold knees. When I got back to were I had left the car, the fog was so thick I could hardly find it, I certainly was not going to risk going into the moors to try and find my jeans and slingbacks, so I decided to drive home in the skirt. Fortunately I had an uneventful drive home and manage to get into the house without anyone seeing me, boy was I glad to get out of that skirt, I had been wearing it for over 9 hours! When I got up my mother said 'You got in late last night' If only she knew! Fortunately it was Saturday and I could go back and retrieve my jeans and heels from under the bush were I had left them. It may seem funny now, but it was not at the time, I certainly learnt a lot that night! "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave ! " The Eagles, "Hotel California"

With dense fog, showers and snowstorms. Sometimes even afraid to be missed. But I wore always reliable footwear. At least fog could never happen in your super market micha PS: Unless a severe defect of a freezer cabinet should happen :drinking: The best fashion is your own fashion!
tuckedintoboots Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 thats a good one micha!! I work in a supermarket myself (ralphs) & there have been several times when there freezer problems, but to my knowlege, never producing any fog (exept within the freezer itself) I do wear my boots a lot when I go to it as a customer!! everyone knows I'm gay & love to wear my heels!! I relish the stares!! its a pride I have learned to enjoy!! btw, I love those red pants you have micha!! I find them very sexy on you & they match your style. men still look good with pants tucked into the right boots!
bluesman Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 SkirtedUK, that's a great story. You really accomplished the 'what if I'm forced to wear my heels for a long time' scenario. And from across the pond, I must say the Brit phrasing is so descriptive, I felt as if I was wandering around the countryside in the fog myself! In my thigh boots and mini, of course. "It's just a flesh wound"
bladerunner Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 The first time for me was when as a teenager with a saturday job.I packed the shoes(black suede 4'' heel) in an over night bag as i was staying at my girlfriends place.Went to work and then wore them on the way back to my girlfriends. Two things happened. As it was an electrical store they sometimes carried out a bag search, this was rarely done,But on this day on leaving work they did! I was mortified! But i came up with the excuse that they were my girlfriends and she had left them at my place, the lads all said i was a lucky guy to have a girlfriend with good taste!!!! Then when i had the shoes on down a quiet alley a woman shot out of a back gate taking her dog for a walk,i had no where to hide so i slowed down and let her pass.Nothing was said but my heart was thumping like mad. Happy days! Now i tend to wear wedges with longish jeans when i get a chance.Occasionally in shops?areas where i am unlikely to meet people i know or in gardens(like kew).Large areas where you can park up,go for a stroll and don't get bothered at all. I just love those suede heels!!!!!

Hi tuckedintoboots, it's a pity that you live so far away! I missed the hometown in your profile. So I entered "Ralphs" as searching item at Google. An american company with headquarter in Ohio. But nice to see that there is an american (gay) guy in the far wide world as crazy as me I presume that the personnel in my super market would be really disappointed of me if I came up on flat sneakers ... cheers micha PS thanx for your compliments! The red trousers are from Phaze(UK) W/L=34. They should be more tight but my problem is the length. My true jeans measures are W33/L36. Hence sometimes a compromise is necessary The best fashion is your own fashion!
Dawn HH Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Skirted-UK:-) Bladerunner:-) Both of your stories were a riot for both Mickey and I to read and we were laughing quite a bit, although the adventures at the time were probably not very funny for you fellows. Never-the-less---great stories anyways. If you fellows have any more great adventures, please keep them coming for the rest of us. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
