igotnewshoes Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Hi, where is a good place to find heels for UK size 10?
at9 Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 For actual shops you can visit in person the choice is limited. Magnus and Elephant Feet in Chiltern St, London: https://www.prettybigshoes.com/blog/post/womens-shoes-in-large-sizes-in-central-london Long Tall Sally in St Albans and possibly elsewhere. Possibly Evans if they're still in business. For more extreme styles Alternative Footwear have a big selection online: https://www.alternative-footwear.co.uk/
igotnewshoes Posted March 16, 2018 Author Posted March 16, 2018 Thanks At9. That was very helpful. I am not ready to go out and buy them in person. I would be looking to buy online.
jeremy1986 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 I buy from asos.com and newlook.com - I love their stuff. I'm a size 8-9, but they are slowly getting in size 10 too. Next also has occasionally.
igotnewshoes Posted April 20, 2018 Author Posted April 20, 2018 I thought I might fit into a size 9, but they are too small. It's so difficult finding size 10's. :-( Wish I had smaller feet!
at9 Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 You also need to be a little wary of size conversions. EU43 is meant to be UK9. Deosn't matter whether men's or women's. I've seen plenty of women's EU42 called UK9. I've tried so-called UK9 at Aldo and reckoned they've been about EU41. That may or may not reflect Aldo shoes in general. Conversion to US sizes is more complicated as men's and women's sizes are different. I think of UK9 as US men's 10 to 10.5 and US women's 11 to 11.5. Ultimately it either fits well or it doesn't, regardless of what size it says on the shoe. I realise this isn't entirely helpful for online shopping
Jura Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 If you're not ready to go in to a high street store and shop in person, then pretty much any online retailer will work for you. When you are ready then try Evans, Yours, Long Tall Saloy, and especially Deichman, all will have your size. You lucky bugger, I take a 45, so I'm more limited than you...
igotnewshoes Posted May 1, 2018 Author Posted May 1, 2018 I found amazon have a lot of shoes my size :-) Just ordered some nice boots from there. ( they came from China and took a few weeks to get here) but they look pretty sweet. Will try them out tonight. I bought these from asos. Had them in size 10 and in wide fit. http://www.asos.com/asos/asos-howling-wide-fit-tie-leg-heeled-sandals/prd/8329688

I have yet to find a good selection of size 8/9 UK ... Those heels from asos look very nice, I like the tie-strap! I have noticed they are getting more size 10's lately. Thankfully, I usually take a 8-9 UK.
