Dear MrPump, Welcome to High Heel Place. Please do take the time to introduce yourself here before doing anything else.. Feel free to browse around and get to know others. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Do take some time to read our website rules / guidance notes and if you get stuck, our FAQ's are also updated frequently.. As a member who has JUST registered, you will only be able to see 3 of our forums, so might be wondering where the rest of the forums have gone? Well, until you drop in here and introduce yourself, by way of replying to this thread/topic, the rest of what HHPlace has to offer remains hidden... This is deliberate, and is designed to give total newbies the chance to read the important things, and a chance to post an intro for others to get to know you a little better. As soon as you have introduced yourself here, that will be your 1st post, and you should instantly be able to see the rest of the forums... Its our way of really wanting to welcome you gradually, to be sure you dont miss the rules and help available, and encourage you to take part. So on behalf of the team, and all of our existing members who will hopefully also welcome you... Welcome to High Heel Place :-)

Hi boys and girls ,

I'm MrPump and I'm new on this forum :)

But I'm superexcited to discover all the topics on this forum and to meet people that have the same obsession .

I am a man but I really like to wear high heels when I'm at home , it gives me some sort of power and strength !

I haven't worn heels outside because I'm a bit afraid for reactions , does anybody feels the same ?

And for the guys who do wear heels outside , how did you get started and do you do it often ?

I would like to read all about your experiences :)

Thank for welcoming me !

First of all hello and welcome to HHPlace, MrPump.

In answer to your question about getting started, do it with confidence because confidence shows. Also a good sense of fashion and knowing what a guy can successfully pull off for clothing with high heels is very important.

Read around and you're bound to find out what many others have discovered and applied. Read and learn. Learn from others successes and mistakes. Do this and you will also discover that guys can wear high heels in public confidently.

Welcome MrPump.

It would be very unusual for a guy not to feel apprehensive about wearing heels outside for the first time. It's only after you do it that you realise it's not like what you fear it would be. But as Shafted said, you can help yourself by making good decisions of what to wear and where to go to feel comfortable and have a positive experience to build your confidence.

My first time in any public place was trying on the boots in my avatar picture in the shop where I bought them. I wore an outfit that would look good with those boots (bootcut jeans, brown jacket). My first time properly walking around in public I wore brown wedge boots under bootcut jeans, it was late-afternoon/early-evening in central London on a working day (so it was busy with lots of people around) and I don't remember anyone even noticing what I was wearing. This is much safer and more rewarding than making your debut in stilettos and a mini-skirt on a dark street at 3am.

Do take the time to read the "first time" posts in the forums, there are years of valuable experience and insights (and they really inspired me). Also don't feel that you have to copy what someone else did, just pick and choose an approach that you feel might work best for you in your surroundings.

If you like it, wear it.
