Vanity Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Is there any other woman except me? I mean real of birth! Please let me know. /Ninni "Vanity is my life and that's my name." I just love High heels.
hoverfly Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 There are a few others who participate currently, or have been recently. However women are only a minority of this group, but they are greatly encouraged to be an active part of this forum. Hello,  my name is Hoverfly. I’m a high heel addict…. Weeeeeeeeeee!  👠1998 to 2022!
Anita C. Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Yes, I AM a real menstrating, birth-giving (2), occassionally PMSing woman and YES I love my Stilettos! We are a rarity here. Lotsa guys, trannies/crossdressers and the like but few women. Welcome! "Spike Heels . . a Pork-pie hat . . Have on the mend in no time flat . . J-Nation Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 ..... a real menstrating, birth-giving (2), occassionally PMSing woman ... None of which in themselves define a woman - there are plenty of 'real' women who don't do any of the above. Emma (who is not)
Heelfan Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 The gals on this board are sadly out-numbered by the guys, but because of that, the presence of each and every one of them is even more appreciated. I may have got it wrong in a few cases, but some of the more active members who appear personally to me to be genuine women are: LAURIEHEELS, PHUONGHEELS, SUEDE, DEDDIE, IHEELS, CANDICAINE, TEXAS BUMPKIN, JULIETTA and MISSIE. Apologies to those I have left out! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
Firefox Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Women don't tend to be quite so keen as men on single subjects such as shoes. No doubt they'd plead a variety of reasons in their defence, not least greater sanity But we've certainly had many women here, though as some have pointed out they make up a few percent of the total members.
Vanity Posted January 6, 2004 Author Posted January 6, 2004 I guess that we women are interested, perhaps very interested, but not OBSESSED like men. And to be honest, I prefer High heels on women, even if it's OK för men to wear. There's a big difference in posture, don't you think? /Ninni "Vanity is my life and that's my name." I just love High heels.
Heelfan Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Hello Vanity! It's GREAT to a new girl on these heel forums - a precious species! WELCOME! Especially a girl who is keen on receiving honesty, is obviously posting with equal honesty and is keen on stillettos! What more could us guys want! So, A THOUSAND WELCOMES and long may you stick with us! Once you have fully settled in, and if you feel inclined, maybe at some stage you could tell us about how your enthusiasm for high heels started, and whether it is the look of them or the feel of wearing them that appeals to you most, and maybe a bit of description of your own favourite shoes etc. The threads and sections on this memaforum might prompt you into posting on the various topic-headings given. In fact A MILLION WELCOMES! Enthusiastically and cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
chris100575 Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 I prefer to see high heels on women, but I still enjoy wearing them myself. Women are just generally nicer to look at than men! As for the difference in posture, do you mean between men and women, between wearing heels and flats, or between men and women in heels? Personally I don't think there's so much of a posture difference between men and women in heels as long as they are both able to walk in them properly. I've certainly seen men in unfamiliar heels walking in a very strange manner, but then so does Tina Turner when she's on stage in hers. Wearing heels certainly requires a different way of walking than flat shoes, and more awareness of the surface you're walking on. I also find that I stand more upright in heels, which is probably better for my back.
Anita C. Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Granted there are "Real Women" who do NOT give birth, menstrate, or PMS. I'll be more specific. I was born with a Vagina and a Clitoris. Later, I developed breasts and experienced menstration. THEREFORE BIOLOGICALLY I am a woman by birth. Any questions? "Spike Heels . . a Pork-pie hat . . Have on the mend in no time flat . . Heelfan Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 Good on you Anita! Thanks for dispelling with such frankness any gender doubts that the odd member may have in your particular case. I posted above that the genuine female members of this forum are a much appreciated minority, and its great to know that they include you! Long may you continue posting in your inimitably colourful and entertaining way! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
Anita C. Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 And thank you for your support & kindness. It is simple, LEGALLY you are either a man, a woman or a hermaphrodite. Those are the only options. I once had a transgendered person who was stopped in drag. When asked for a drivers' license the person proceeded to explain at great lengths to the LADY police officer about "being a woman trapped in a mans' body and while surgery hadn't occured as yet was a woman." And about her journey and how hard it has been . . . The officer listened understandingly and then said "As fascinating as what you have shared with me is, and I do sympathize with you, truely. I assume you still have a penis. Therefore in the eyes of the law at this point in time in the eyes of the law you are a man." Point: The person in question had no letter confirming therapy from a qualified psychiatrist/therapist/counselor-hadn't even seen one. We all live and function in a real world. While it would be nice if everybody thought, fealt and reasoned the same way . . . alas, they don't. "Spike Heels . . a Pork-pie hat . . Have on the mend in no time flat . . new_look Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 add on to the above, i read in The Sun that there was some dadft law in the usa that no w allows people to simple alter their gender should they choose to, regardless of physical attributes. done rather like changing from your birth name to another. yes i thought it was odd too..... never mind any 'sun' readers should understand
chris100575 Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 I read that in the Times. It didn't mention the US, but said that the EU was considering a bill which would enable you to choose your gender. ie I could declare myself to be a woman, and legally I would be. While I sympathise with people with gender identity issues, it would be open to abuse, particularly as far as sport is concerned.
new_look Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 i totally agree. it might not have been the us, it jst rag a bell. it was about a month ago when i read it. pretty daft idea as you said for obvious reasons of been unsed incorrectly. wed soon have perverts in the womens changing rooms 'legally' entitled to be there cos they are a woman
Firefox Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 I think that declaring of gender thing is all a bit weird. I mean if you have a sex change op fair enough, you should be allowed to change it on your birth certificate which I believe you can't do in the UK at the moment, which is wrong.
Anita C. Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 The whole Gender topic is very hard on all. The people who have Gender Dysphoria struggle as does society both trying to make the best of a very awkward situation. My heart goes out to all - the afflicted, their families & loved ones and especially those who are just trying to do the best thing. "Spike Heels . . a Pork-pie hat . . genebujold Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 I guess that we women are interested, perhaps very interested, but not OBSESSED like men. /Ninni I know lots of men who're not obsessed with high heels, including one such man who wears them regularly. Me!
genebujold Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 I'll be more specific. I was born with a Vagina and a Clitoris. Later, I developed breasts and experienced menstration. THEREFORE BIOLOGICALLY I am a woman by birth. Any questions?
Anita C. Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 Granted. But in all fairness the question was not with regard to those who are intersexed. She only asked about weather there were women on the forum. I know someone who is intersexed. This is a very difficult cross to bear and I have tremendous sympathy. The responses I have received vexed me so I sought this person out (Who is living as a woman) for advice. She graciously smiled and said "Well-what did you tell her?". I said I was born a woman. Her reply was "sounds accurate-I wish I could say I was one way or the other, but . . . I couldn't because I'm not." And there you have it. Ciao! Anita "Spike Heels . . a Pork-pie hat . . genebujold Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 Hi, Anita - ok, now I understand your reply. By the way, I'm not "intersexed" (plain old XY), but I'm interestingly not quite your average male, either. I feel like a guy, and up until late 2003, believed I thought like a guy. I even look like a guy, but like one who maybe, just maybe, might have gone through puberty. Hard for me to admit, but it's true. I don't shave (don't need to). Evidently, the problem is my very low testosterone output. The docs haven't found out why, and there are two remedies. The first is testosterone supplements, which would, over time, change the way I look significantly. Since I like the way I look now, I said no. The second is progesterone supplements (guys have about 1/2 the level of prog. that women do), and would do what's needed to keep my bones and the rest of me humming along. My quandry is that I really should be taking a primary hormonal supplement for various physiological reasons. A couple weeks ago, the doc again recommended testosterone. Again I said no, because of the side effects. Then, he offered me something that I thought strange - estrogen. He says in low doses I don't have to worry about "development," and the Internet research I've done seems to back him up, but the jury's still out on this one. As I said, I'd like to remain a man, including the way that I feel about things. I'm wondering if estrogen supplements would change that. I guess my point here is - one never knows who you're dealing with, and even among the XX and XY crowd there's quite a range from rug bears to people like me. Of both sexes!
Heelfan Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 Because there are less gals than guys on our Forums, it is really appreciated when some of them turn up at our Heel-Meets in person. That is what is so nice about the Forum's periodic Heel-Meets when a gang of us guys and gals meet up for a great day of shopping, eating, drinking, socialising etc. Many friendships have been made. Most of these meets take place in the UK, but about once a year we hold a EURO Heel-Meet on the Continent. Why not treat yourself to a great heely weekend and come to our next Euro Heel-Meet (Heel-wearing nice, but not compulsory!): EURO HEEL-MEET, PARIS, FRIDAY 6TH TO SUNDAY 8TH FEBRUARY 2004. (SATURDAY 7TH FEBRUARY IS THE LAST DAY OF THE PARIS SALES). For more details (hotel, schedule etc.) see under this Megaforums "Real Life Meetings" section. Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
