I wore my new black formal long dress with 5" open toe sandels. I had my toes polished and long nails. I have my ears pierced so I had earrings and a little makeup. My wife also wore a black dress with high heel pumps. We both had a great time.

Laurieheels Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 Why do people wear stockings/nylons with sandals? I mean, the running joke for so many comics is about men wearing socks with sandals. Let your toes wiggle a bit, let them be free.
J-Nation Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 some of us don't have legs that look that good without a bit of help, and some just like the feel of them! Emma PS Has anyone tried those open toed nylons? I can't bring myself to buy any; they just seem too weird!
Heelfan Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 Emma - What do you mean "some of us"? You should be saying "Some of you" because your legs are "It", "The business", "As good as it gets". Many of us would give a king's ransom for your legs! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
Firefox Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 I agree that sandals look better with bare feet, men or women. Certainly socks and sandals are a strange choice.
genebujold Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 I agree that sandals look better with bare feet, men or women. Certainly socks and sandals are a strange choice. I dunno! The first time I spotted a guy wearing a pair of Tevas, it was in the Denver airport in the dead of winter - and he was wearing a fairly thick pair of socks. It was rather new back then, but it looked perfect acceptable. By the way, I wore exactly what you see pictured to the left, but with the pantleg lowered to within a 1/2 inch of the floor (I'm holding it up for the picture) and wearing an IM Outlaw shirt (http://www.internationalmale.com/product.asp?product=CW86LWHITEzz&dept%5Fid=10050&An=101&A=&Au=RollupKey). Then again, it was dark, after hours, at a local casino, and I really didn't care to put on my daytime business shoes. I've several spies (including my wife) and to the best of our knowledge, no one said a thing. Then again, in all liklihood, no one noticed amidst the loud music and the relative dark. So, yesterday, for kicks and grins, I decided to breeze through Alladin in the same array - not a stare in sight. Bottom line, while men wearing heels is by no means ubiquitous, it's not really news, either. My only concern is that our kind doesn't develop in the minds of society at large as a deviant splinter group from society! The only way that'll change is to change society! God luck and Godspeed to you all!
genebujold Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 And now, "ahem," a word from our sponsor, especially appreciated on the women's forum...
