Hh Boots For Skinny Calves

If you have skinny calfs, boots are going to have to be custom tailored to your leg. I have had to do this with all my knee-high boots. My local cobbler does the work for $20 a pair. Your going to drive yourself crazy trying to find a boot for skinny calves. Just make sure they fit in the foot and tailor the rest.

Shafted, the boots that is! View my gallery here http://www.hhplace.o...afteds-gallery/ or view my heeling thread here http://www.hhplace.org/topic/3850-new-pair-of-boots-starts-me-serious-street-heeling/ - Pm me if you want fashion advice or just need someone to talk to.

That's an interesting issue for a guy to have, and I would think many would have the opposite issue. I have always thought my legs were pretty darn slim but I've never had an issue with boots being too loose in the calf area, or too tight for that matter. Although, all of the knee/thigh high boots I own are pretty stretchy in the upper. I suppose if I bought some real quality leather kneehigh/thighigh boots, I could run into the same issue myself.

Wide calf boots seem to be a recent trend. Take Nine West for example, four or five years ago their boot shaft fit my calf nicely. However, now their shafts are huge as if designed for elephants. It's not me as my calves haven't changed over the years. This could be a result of designers providing larger boot shafts to facilitate tucking of jeans into them.

My wife and I have also some boots from Duo. We are very happy with them. The only problem for many guys is that they do not have foot sizes beyond 43 (and most only go to 42 or even 41). Once in a while they have them on sale and if they have your size you have to be rather fast. It happened to my wife that between selecting them and paying them somebody else had taken the last pair. Y.

Raise your voice. Put on some heels.

I have 14" calves, I had to stop buying guy socks long ago mainly because they all fall down expecting me to have giant calves. I can identify with this problem, most boots have calf sizes of almost 16" which just looks ridiculous. That said, two options, leg warmers or thick socks tend to fix the issue.
