astrid
I have had these boots for a few years now and I absolutely love them. They are Jimmy Choo and were expensive. Anyway, I noticed last night that the heel on the left boot is bent towards the toe, slightly. I can still walk in them without a problem but want to repair them to 100%, if possible. I have attached the pictures below to give people and idea of the damage. http://www.hhplace.org/album.php?albumid=550&pictureid=5790 http://www.hhplace.org/album.php?albumid=550&pictureid=5791 http://www.hhplace.org/album.php?albumid=550&pictureid=5789
jmc
It looks like the heel has "kicked in", indicating the reinforcement tube may have buckled. For best results the heel should be replaced, and for the sake of balance, it should be done on both boots. It is possible to have shoes or boots re-heeled. This is definitely a job for a professional and since these are an expensive pair of boots, they are worth the price of a job done right. Have a happy time! jmc
Looks like the original poster placed the pictures in a private gallery here on HHplace, which is why the staff can see them while nobody else can. This control is accessible only to the user, we cannot force a user to make his/her galleries public. Member "astrid", for this thread to make sense, you will have to make your gallery public -- you can do that under UserCP --> Networking / Pictures & Albums. Have a happy time! astrid
Apologies, pictures should now be visible.
manoleat
Apologies, pictures should now be visible. No, they are not. But anyway: As jmc already said, you shoud get both boots rehealed. When the boots being new it would have been a warranty issue. All the best for your boots!
jmc
No, they are not. . . The gallery appears to be gone. It would probably be best to attach the pictures to a posting in this thread, that way you will not have to deal with gallery permissions. Further, we try to reserve galleries for more fashion-oriented and creative pictures. See this post and this post for a better explanation of where we are going with galleries. Pictures can be attached to postings too, use "Manage Attachments" under "Additional Options" below the editor window. You will want to use the "Enhanced Interface" editor, which can be set under "UserCP" --> "Settings & Options" --> "Edit Options". "Miscellaneous Options" is at the bottom of the screen. Don't forget to "Save Changes" if you have adjusted something. Have a happy time!
