Metal Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Hi everyone, Thought I would introduce myself on here. My name is Greg and I have been into heels for a while now - mainly, I like seeing them being shown off - especially pointed court shoes/pumps. I am a straight British male and I wish that I could wear a pair of six inch heels like many of you can, but I have a feeling I would fall flat on my face! I don't own any pairs at the moment, but you never know! Being a size UK 10, I don't think many places sell high heels that large do they? Anyway, I think this is a brilliant forum, and I never knew there was so much information on high heeled shoes/boots on here! Hope to have many interesting conversations with some of you soon! TTFN, Greg
Snoots Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Hi Greg and welcome You're certainly in the right place if you're a heel lover - there's a wealth of information as you've already discovered! You say you wish you could wear 6" heels - have you ever worn heels before? It's all about practice and getting used to your new height - maybe you could start off with a smaller heel - say 3 - 4"? What style of heels do you like? Some are easier to walk in than others - for obvious reasons! Myself I'm a big fan of thin heel stilettoes - the optimum (for me) being 5.5 - 6". I'm also a Size UK10 and there are plenty of websites that sell heels in that size, try: http://www.alternative-footwear.co.uk/shop.html http://www.bananashoes.com/ http://www.fantasyheels.co.uk/ All of which stock shoes and boots in a UK10. Have fun and I hope you find something you like!
Bubba136 Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Welcome from me too. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
hh4evr1 Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Hello and welcome. Hope you can find some nice heels soon in your size. I'm wearing my 6 inch heels whilst reading this. They take a bit of getting used to. I'm still practicing. I have worked my way up from 3 inch heels. Because you are size 10 it should be easier for you to wear high heels than people who have a smaller size because the angle from toe to heel won't be as steep.
