hhdfd Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Hi everyone, I just recently found this site and am very pleased so find so many folks that share my interest in high heels, as well as all the useful information posted by members. I am a long time wearer of heels - bought my first, a pair of platform boots, in my twenties, and have owned many heels, both shoes and boots, since then. I currently have about 15 pairs. I also like to wear pantyhose or tights with my heels. My preference is for very high heels, both single sole and platform. I enjoy the challenge of learning to walk in ever higher heels and have become quite adept. I can walk well in 6 inch single sole stilettos or 8.5 inch platforms, and want to push my limits further. I recently bought my first pair of ballet boots - more on that in the appropriate forum. Looking forward to joining in the discussions on this site.
Dr. Shoe Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Welcome to the site! Whereabouts in AZ are you? I lived in Tucson for a year or so... Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Bubba136 Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Welcome to hhplace, hhdfd Your description of your involvement with high heels parallels that of so many other members here. There also seems to be quite a few members from AZ recently joining. And, like you, most of the new members seem to just happen upon hhplace website. Why not tell us a little more about yourself and your experiences wearing heels in Ariazona? Do you wear them outside of your home? What does your wife or partner think of you wearing heels? Glad to happy to have you join us. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
hhdfd Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 Thank you for your welcome Dr Shoe and Bubba. I'm in Phoenix, lived here about 20 years. I have been out shopping in heels but not for several years. I used to wear long jeans over my heels, so I don't think anyone really noticed, but it was a great experience. Also, once or twice I have tried on women's shoes in stores, but it's difficult to find my size (US womens 12). I hope that I will be able to go out more often, perhaps with support from other AZ members. I wear heels around the house often. I'm divorced and live alone. My ex-wife did not approve.
Dawn HH Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Hhdfd:-) Thanks for your opening post and I hope that this site satisfys what you are looking for. Welcome to the Forum. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
AZShoeNut Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Welcome! I live in Mesa and have lived Phoenix/Mesa all of my life. It is great to see another guy here from AZ who has worn heels in public. I would love to hear more about that as I start to venture out and about. Just curious, where do you shop for size 12 heels? I have been to Smoken Lingerie in Scottsdale, Fetish Falls, in Tempe, and, of course, Payless. See ya around, Larry Life is short... Wear the bleeping shoes!
hhdfd Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Hi Larry, thanks for your message. It would be good to chat with you about wearing heels in public. Perhaps we could even arrange to go out together sometime, I live in NW Phoenix. Far enough, but not too far. Let's chat more in PM if you would like. I've given up trying to shop locally, as it's so difficult to find size 12 in styles that I like, so I make all my purchases online these days. I have been fairly successful in getting heels that fit without trying them on first. It's a long time since I have been to Smokin Lingerie, and I had not even heard of Fetish Falls, so perhaps I should check them out. Welcome!
