Hi from Estonia

Hi, i'm new here, a man from near Tallinn, Estonia, northeastern Europe.

I've had a passion for high heels since early childhood, and i have no idea why and where does it came from, my mother never wore high heels. Now i'm lucky to have a very good and supportive wife who wears high heels quite a lot. She lets me select all shoes for her, sais that i'm very good in that  and happily walks in the shoes i've selected. Her favorite styles are wedges, round toes and platforms. Our two daughters are yet too small for heels.

Just recently i've started to play with the idea that why not wear heels myself, as a man (i'm 100% hetero and consider myself rather masculine and athletic, never been even thinking about crossdressing or anything like that). I'm already actually wearing my men's black salsa shoes (special shoes for dancing) with oxford style and 5cm/2'' cuban heels (these --> http://www.zappos.com/product/7136054/color/3) in the salsa trainings and parties we go, and my black unisex traditional swedish wooden clogs, also 5cm/2'' at the office (i work as a software developer and these quiys are known to be a bit "strange" and "nerdish"). Have got only a few comments about these, all rather positive. Also, recently bought a pair of nice brown oxfords, with 6,5cm/2,5'' chunky heels, no platform, made for men in the 1970's, as "new old stock" from e-bay (i'll try to have some pictures soon). These are surprisingly comfortable, give me the exciting feeling of heels, and nobody should doubt that these are men's, so i'm mentally ready to take these babies out to the streets and halls, just haven't found the occasion yet (it's beautiful show here right now) ;-) My wife also pretty much supports and encourages me to wear heels or whatever makes me happy, as she sais that she likes me to "be myself" and "live my passions". My favorite styles are oxfords, wooden clogs and sharp-looking ankle boots. I just ordered my first pair of really high heel shoes that are designed for women (these, maple-colored --> http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/Sale/onlineProductDisplay.vs?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=CS-228481&size=11&rfnbr=3688), for practicing and playing at home. So i'm very excited waiting for when they arrive :w00t2:

So let's see what the future brings...

Cheers,

k6ps

Hi There used to be another active guy from Tallinn around here... I think he was called Stellah. Pretty nice fellow, but haven't heard from him for a while. PS the Baltic countries are great for spotting heel wearing women, and the difference between for example Tallinn and Helsinki is huge. I would say the proportion is 3 to 1 or so. Welcome, BTW.

What's all the fuss about?

Thanks everyone ;-) I feel this forum is the right place.

Yes this is somehow true, a lot of women in the Baltics cities wear really nice shoes, especially in the summertime (Riga seems to be the best city for that), while in Helsinki (i've been working there for a long time) it is much less common, no idea why.. But i've so far never seen a man in heels, except maybe 5cm/2'' cowboy boots, which is also very rare.

Cheers,

I lived in Helsinki for many years, and have worn heels quite a lot there, with little or no trouble. Even saw another guy trying on boots in Kenkämarski on Mannerheimintie.

What's all the fuss about?

Hi,

They arrived. The feeling is very exciting :jap: I'm almost 2 meters (6,5 ft) tall on them :w00t2: My wife likes them too. I was buying these for practicing and playing at home only, but she suggested that i might wear them to Madonna's concert in Tallinn in Aug. this year, and we have tickets to. That might be a good idea, because then i'd see over the heads of the crowd there, just have to find matching heels for her.

But walking around on them for the first time is quite challenging, i have to practice a lot. I put them on when it was my turn to do the house works (i.e. cleaning, fixing, putting stuff away, etc.). This is a great time for heel practice - for a few hours i'm mostly on my foot, move around and make all kinds of turns, walk the stairs for many times, pick up stuff from the floor and put to high places, push a few pedals, etc.

So, who sais that houseworks are tedious!!

Happy heeling

Congratulations, k6ps :clap:Thanks for the report on your new heels. Perhaps you might post a picture of them for us to see ? With all the practice you will have, it appears that you are going to be able to wear them without any problems by the time the concert is held in August. The fact that your wife also likes them and asked you to wear them outside of the house is very encouraging. Perhaps you might even be able to wear them to a restaurant or on a nice walk in your neighborhood before the concert.

Hi, Have been around here in this forum for a couple of months, and i have to say that the shared thoughts, feelings, and experiences of the members here have made my dream of walking on high heels as a man from a distant and secret dream to reality during just that time. So i'm very-very thankful to the members and founders of this forum :winkiss: I'm now trying to share back my experiences here, as well as to look nice and behave well in my community so that more people would accept this as great idea that men also wear heels. Happy Heeling k6ps
