azraelle Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 Since these are advertised as suitable for a girl's bedroom by JC Penney,s, and are 17"Width x30"Depth x30"Height, I thought these might be better received by the girls on the site. They also come in pink and a pale lime color ($99.95). If space (and money) weren't so tight, I would buy one for my 12-yr old daughter. Yamyam Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 WHOA! What size do you think they are?! UK53?! Those are SO cool! Where'd u find them? I wonder how easy they'd be to walk in? I MUST get one of those... SH Surely you'd need two to walk in them! But they are cool... But I think not for me. Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
squirrelheels Posted February 21, 2003 Posted February 21, 2003 Yes, I would need two... but the statements I made weren't connected! They'd be so cool to have though... SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
Yamyam Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 I was misinterpreting for cheap comic effect... sorry Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
squirrelheels Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 I figured as much! I think I killed it quite successfully though... sorry! It wasn't intentional! SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
Yamyam Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 I forgive you Actually, the purple ones are nice... I might just invest in one! Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
squirrelheels Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Yeah, it's a nice lush purple It'd go really well with my room, which has deep purple and orange walls... SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
Julietta Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Love one in pink for my daughters room and could see myself spending a lot of time in there they'd also make for some interesting shoe shoe pics Let calm be widespread May the sea glisten like greenstone And the shimmer of summer Dance across your pathway "Communication is a two way thing"
Francis Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 there was a shop that we visited whilst on a heel meeting in london that sold chairs like that. I believe it was in Camden, in the courtyard area. Actually, the woman running the shop had a very nice tight corset on, but she had an attitude. Maybe because, some of us were wearing higher heels than her! But the chairs are out there guys and gals. Didn't get the prices though
squirrelheels Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Well, the ones that azraelle posted are $99, so presumably the ones in the UK would be a similarly high price... quite pricey, but worth it for such a gorgeous chair! Firefox Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Francis is right. It was that very gothy place in the ourtuard at Camden. Being a pratical sort I believe I could make one of these. but $99 is not a bad price.
BabeinHeels Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 My husband has stopped at a few roadside vendors and always checked their prices, but they have wanted $150 or more. Also see them on Ebay frequently, but for higher as well. Are they only available through the catalog? I've just always wanted one of those chairs! lol XO Babe in Heels
azraelle Posted March 1, 2003 Author Posted March 1, 2003 www.jcpenney.com, and since finding them requires a good bit of hunting (you would never find them if you weren't specifically looking for them) the specific "page" is: http://www3.jcpenney.com/jcp/ProductsHOM.asp?DeptID=7107&CatID=13750&CatTyp=FEA&ItemTyp=G&GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=06bcc3e&ProdSeq=3&OffSet=3&ProdCount=10&Cat=girl%27s+room&Dep=For+The+Home&PCat=Youth+Furniture+Shop&PCatID=13745&RefPage=ProductList&Sale=&NumMatches=10&RecPtr=&SearchIn=0&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&PersistenceID=&RecordID=&SearchString= "All that you can decide, is what to do with the time that is given you."--Gandalf, "Life is not tried, it is merely survived -If you're standing outside the fire."--Garth Brooks
squirrelheels Posted March 2, 2003 Posted March 2, 2003 Looks like they have a reasonably large selection of "normal" shoes too. Interesting catagorisation system though... SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
texasbumpkin Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 It reminds me of the Giant shoe in the movie "Pricilla, Queen of the Desert" when they were driving through the outback and one of the men was singing opera from the top of the Bus.
jo Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 You can see that shoe chair "modelled" at http://www.sensualsara.com/ That is the site that I mentioned above; only just stumbled over it again.
