  1. I've seen them at Charlotte Russe, Deb, and Journey's Shi stores. Usually they are the suedo nfelt materials, and some spikes, etc. When I see a pair I'm interested in, I'm going to try them - Just because. If I can walk in them, then I'll add them to my collection. I tend to stay away from suede finishes though

  2. Dr Shoe: most military members were born after the incident at Kent State, and I really doubt the average military member would fight against their fellow citizens to defend govt leaders they do not agree with.

Every military person and law enforcement officer I know would never go against the general citizen population in favor of the government

Wel I never .... Trouble at mill.

Let's remember when push comes to shove on a world stage Britain and America always have each others backs and long may that last.

    Agreed

  3. Congratulations to all our American friends on their special day.

We were sorry to lose you over some trivial argument about tea. You've made a decent attempt. Complete disaster, of course, as we knew it would be ;) But we're prepared to forgive you for running off on your own and welcome you back with open arms. Does that sound fair?

    Hmmmmm - - -

    I don't think so - - - !!!

To use the Queens tongue.. PISS OFF! :D

A second revolution is coming. No doubt. Prep folks!

Happy Independence Day to all the ' yanks ' out there. Celebrate while you can. ;)

    -Ilk

I can see it coming - - Prepping as we go.

  4. Hey Mike and David:

I am locking in the weekend of August 17 & 18 at my place. Not sure what the turnout will be. Could be a mix bag od Heelsters and possible some crossdressers. I will do both as always. Let me know if you guys are in for sure.

    Looking forward to it.

    Bern

    Heelster,

I don't know what happened but I hope you are back in the game soon. I am locking in August 17 & 18 at my place for all heel lovers that want to strut their stuff for the weekend. Come any way you want to hang out and enjoy wearing heels indoors and outside.

    Hope you can make it!

    Bern

I'm back in the game, but I may have to transport a college student to campus about that time - - not sure yet, Waiting for dorm assignments and opening / move in dates.
  5. I'm very surprised to hear that about you area. We have several heelers in Ohio that post regularly here. I have driven through Ohio wearing heels and have never encountered a problem, wearing them.

Incidentally, I am a member of the American Legion and I have worn heels to my post at times,. Not really overly looking, feminine ones, but they were still heels and have never had a problem, maybe I live in a more liberal state, New York.

I see lots of members of the American Legion wearing earrings in my travels to the posts, but not many heelers yet. But they will be coming too!!!!!

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

I've worn heels in some other areas of Ohio with no problems at all. Been shopping at tool stores, Home depot, and lowes too, but I live in a rather strange little town with a very backward mentality. It's slow to change, but I see some small movement .

  6. I passed out some copies of that article about men in heels, today. One in my bank for the tellers to read. (They have seen me wearing heels a couple of times) Also ,my wife took a copy to work and she said she got mixed comments from her co-workers. More positive than negative, which is a good sign, that maybe more acceptance of men in heels is slowly coming.

The more publicity we get out about men heeling, will be a plus to our cause and love.

BTW, Heelster what area of the country are you from? I have worn heels into Home Depot and Lowe's, true male bastions and have never had a problem. I even got a couple compliments from the clerks. Just today, at Home Depot, a female clerk commented on my royal blue colored little pinkies, that I like to wear. She said she liked the look! So do I !!!!!!

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

North Cental Ohio area. I always joke that the smartest thing Kentucky and West Virginia did was to send all their unwanted folks to Ohio.

Small town, One stoplight, two gas stations with beer caves, A McDonalds, Subway (in a gas station) and 5 pizza places. The American Legion, and the Eagles are your only drinking establishments. The only time folks might dress up a bit is Sunday Morning - - - Maybe. Never see heels around town.

  7. I may be brave, but only when I'm out-of-town. Lived locally for about 13 years, and we are still treated like outsiders in some ways. I didn't realize how much redneck mentallity exists until it smacked me up side the head again recently. Neighbor kid and his father both put Confederate flags on the truck bed, plus in the back windows. Looks pretty weired seeing 4' x 3' flags flying when they go down the road. The locals have been trying to find reasons to close down the local Mens Gay campground. They were pretty pissed when it was bought and converted. They had some pretty hefty money offers to sell, but they didn't bite. Now that there are plans to do some major road work and re-route a state highway, thhe locals are trying to get the state to re-route the road through the campground instead of around the one side. Heels locally - ??? Not happening!!

  8. And can anyone guess which one of the three most guys read/look at. Seems to me like Maxim and GQ are a distant second and third. I am basing this opinion on most guys I know.

Actually, seems Hunting/fishing/motocross/Harley magazines are the most common amongst the crowd around here, and you know none of these would touch the subject, so yes, Playboy should break the news.

I'm waiting to hear all about it.

  9. This is great. More publicity in the news media is always good. Now if only the Maxim/Playboy/GQ fashion editors would make a positive statement, then the rest of the men who don't read the fashion news elswhere would think about it. This could get interesting. Trends in the mens fashion world seem to move slowly. I'm ready to go shopping.

  10. I'm kinda splitting the fence on those. I'm watching for a pair like those but not patent, and not pointy toe. They are Ellie, which means your likely to need to go one size bigger. They won't be on display at your local Sears. If you have a penchant to try before you buy, You will most likely find them at an upscale adult boutique. I've never seen Ellie shoes anywhere else other than maybe a party costume store. As fore quality - not bad usually.

  11. I was at a two day event this week that was attended mostly by women. On the second day, I had two women inquire with me about my jeans. They wanted to know where I found them. Seems they were discussing the baggy crappy fitting jeans their husbands had been buying, and how crappy their guys looked in these jeans along with untied basketball shoes and baggy NFL/MLB T-shirts. I told them my jeans were a size 11 Arizona low rise flared cut jeans. They didn't inquire about my boots as they were a standard western boot with about a 1 - 3/4" heel. It dawned on them about two minutes later that I was wearing womens jeans, and that I was not wearing boxers underneath them. I got the impression these women are going to be trying to get their husbands some new wardrobe items real soon.

  12. Once again, it goes to show that nothing in life is constant, except for maybe death and taxes. Can you believe that I used to hate wooden mules when they were popular the first time in my youth? Now they are fully 1/3 of my collection.

Although I'm still not a real big fan of wedges (like you, I used to hate 'em), I do own two pair. They definitely have the advantage of being more off-the-pavement friendly. I think what I object to are the wedges that are just huge and bulky, which is a lot of them out there. I see you've managed to avoid those, which is not a big surprise, given your general style and taste.

I don't see many mules at all let alone the wooden styles. I've looked locally, and can't find a thing. Where do you find them? Not always a fan of online ordering - Like to see them up front and yes, try them on.

  13. Did anybody see the article in last Sundays paper. It appears some male train drivers in Sweden have started to wear skirts at work. The train drivers have been banned from wearing shorts and as it's gets quite hot in the train cabs few are wearing skirts and the Swedish train bosses have to go along with it, one driver stated we get a few strange looks but at least we are cool.

If you could find that article online, and post a link - - - I might have a use for that elsewhere.

  14. When I visited London last week, I saw a girl get into a cab wearing similar heels as these from Miu Miu:

    Posted Image

I had seen the Miu Miu before on Netaporter when they sold them in (I think) 2012, but the site said that they would run one size smaller than what was written on the label. Largest size was 41, I am a 41, so I would have required a 42 to fit in. Too bad.

Louboutin had a similar style called the "Bibi" heels, but when I visited the Louboutin store in London, they told me that they would only get the Bianca, which has a stiletto heel type. So... I am still searching. While I wear boots all the time, with pumps I am not even sure how often I would wear them...

Check Ninewest. I bought a pair similar to these at the ninewest outlet store. Can't recall the model name. If I can find them, I'll let you know.

just curious to see what peoples "must have" pair of heels is?

Some high heel clogs. Kinda chunky heel, no straps. Slide in and go. Would be great for getting out to the garage etc.
