  1. Well first the toe box of the vintage heels is smaller as it is rounded and not as pointed as about every toe box of today's heels.

And secondly while today's toe boxes are sometimes even going upwards a bit to the tip, the box of the vintage heels is flat. If you take a look at e.g. this image http://www.retroxotique.com/photos/Fashion/RetroShoes/S2/bizarr025.jpg there might even be a slightly slanted sole in there so that the toes are placed 'diagonal' a bit. That's what I did with the heels in my avatar too. They were about 2 sizes too large but I didn't want to change them. So I built a slanted ~1cm foam plateau into the toe box. the result: they are fitting, good to walk in, and the toe box could be even smaller than now.

  2. after months of search I finally found the extreme heels I really like - in the vintage forum :lmao: For sure there's no way for me to get some 40yr old heels in size 14... well and however I would like to buy new ones :)

So does anyone know where I could find pumps/oxfords/boots in this style?

they have a very small and rounded instead of pointed toebox...

And secondly - they are awesome arent they??

  3. What I would like to know is- was it mostly a conscious decision for extreme high heels in general for you or very often just the look of a particular high heeled shoe?

Mainly for the look and for the feeling extreme heels give you when you wear them. As I only wear them @home and for me and as I'm already 1,95m there's no need to get anything higher than bare feet (and walking through normal doors when you're 2,12m with heels) so I don't wear them just because they are said to be very high...

  4. well thanks for that! eBay shops are also ok. For example the sandals in my avatar are only available via ebay... personally, I'm almost only looking for very high, but single sole shoes. And with a short tip. Hollywood Heels and The Highest Heel had some great styles but unfortunally they are currently all gone. But - and thats kinda good news - I was able to speak to a nice support guy who took time to really answer my question, and they are currently looking for a new manufacturer for their ultra heigh heels. I hope they will soon find one, and I'm sure then we'll get back the great ol' ultra heel styles... :)

  5. and of course there's Jeroen Van Der Klis who doesn't have a great homepage but for sure great corset styles including bondage catsuits, overall corset dresses etc. I'm sure he could also create such a thing for you. www.bizarredesign.nl

  6. This sure looks like an advertisement to me?:)

well it might be a bit advertising but its just the right thing to tell it in this thread. Never heard about this company and it might be interesting so I'm just happy to know another ultra high heels manufacturer!

@taconxxl: well they sure look great! I already know some of the styles but I think there are also heels that are new for me...

  7. well I also love corsets. First I just checked out a cheap corset from ebay but that wasn't good at all. I'm 6'5" without heels, 7'1" with heels - a regular corset wasn't long enough at all. Wanted to have something longer, stronger, better shaped and more special. But also I didn't want to pay 600$ for a custom one. So... I created & sewed my own corsets (I'm a creative and dextrous guy...) first I built a digital 3d model of the corset, from that I created a pattern and then sewed a corset in black patent leather. The first try was kinda bad at all but for the second one I redone the whole thing and corrected a lot of mistakes... what can I say - I love the 2nd one! Now my laced waist is about 27" and I love the feeling!

  8. I have those same pair, also ordered from Ebay. They are really high, 18cm!! (7"+) indeed too high to walk in properly for most people I think, it's more like balancing and difficult (for me) to keep the knees straight and the feet hurt quickly. Quality is not very good no, and need to tie the laces tightly in order not to let the foot slide forward...

well thats why I can't recommend wearing them with bare feet...

First I also wasn't able to stand straight wearing them, but currently I'm wearing them ~12h a week + sometimes while sleeping and it gets more comfortable. After some months its almost easy to stand straight in them - even if its hard to walk really smooth.

  9. height? dunno. Its described as 7" but as I wear US14 its a bit more I think. Brand's called "La Prima" I think they're currently only available through eBay. Walking? Well I do more than standing in them. Is that what you call walking? I only wear them @home (as all heels). They aren't made to walk a kilometer straight but if you aren't in a hurry they are fine to wear. And it doesn't hurt to wear them at all. Only thing is after some hours sometimes its a bit stressful for my toes... And I think its just looking like this. There's nothing uncomfortably digging into the leg. Well I also like the heels of these high heels. Although the overall quality isn't great (these scratches already were there when I got them for example), they are very stable and kinda good to walk in.

  10. Here's what I just wrote in the other thread:

Well unfortunally they aren't produced anymore. A year ago I also searched for them and found them in a few year old catalogue from TheHighestHeel. They had many great styles but as I was told (yeah they have some support there!) they have problems finding a new manufacturer for all their "fetish styles". I think when they find a new manufacturer there will again be some more of these great styles.

  11. thanks Bootmebaby...by the way ,where could I get a pair of boots like in your avatar?

  12. Hi.

I adore those shoes and want me apair myself.

Did you have to pay taxes for shipping to europe?

Both You and I live in the EU, so i guess it's the same rules for shipping to our countries..

    Thank's in advance//Pernilla

I'm kinda sure you will have to. You have to pay for everything imported into the EU that costs more than a few bucks (except some special laws for ebay).

For me it always worked fine just to replace the $ with a €, maybe adding 10-15€... you will have to pay shipping, and ~25% of the article+shipping price for taxes.

I adore them too. But in US14 they don't look that special anymore
