  1. OMG who found this thread? lol Anyways about the pumps that started this thread.... I ended up buying some nice leather nine west ones a year ago to replace these. I decided to start buying good pairs to treat my feet well. I sold these to a girl friend of mine who actually got me into wearing heels and nail polish, etc. She loves them and found them super comfy (as did I!). She even wears them to work all day at a salon attendant. It's just me helping others I guess lol.

  2. Doesn't really make a difference to me. When you think about it, we are always in different kinds of shoes - sneakers, flats, flip flops, wedges, heels, pointy toe, mules. You have to walk a little different in all of those. So pointy toes are just a different way. I've never had a problem with them.

  3. I just had some great responses from women that I had to share! I was wearing my American Eagle patent ballet flats..they got a simple round toe design. I was pairing them with dark flare jeans and a fitted long sleeve top - a very basic look. So I got home and I was still awake. I went online and I was talking to one girl that we are just like "hey how are u?" type friends. But, when we see each other around campus, we talk for hours. I wasn't going to be able to go to a get together she was having tomorrow night. I asked her is she would want to go out for a coffee right now instead. She said she was with a friend and would be happy to come. I jokingly asked her if there was anything hot she would want me to wear lol. So she said no socks (she had no idea about my shoes, etc. I said sure, I wasn;t going to wear any anyways..lol. So I got to the place first, got a tea, and sat down. They came in and in the process of giving her a hug, she looked down and smiled and said "lovely shoes!". So her and her friend went to get a coffee. They came back and we began to talk. So my friend said, "ok, so are those your gf's shoes?" To which I replied "no, they are mine". Her friend hit her and said "I told you they were his!" and laughed. When they were at the counter getting their coffees, her friend asked her if i was wearing women's shoes. My friend thought it was a joke because before I said I wasn't going to wear socks. So I explained and they laughed and said something like I would never believe it that you wore them - but I like the look!. So after we went home, I was still awake and I knew a friend of mine was getting off work. So I surprised her in the parking lot and asked her to go chill for a bit. Now, I can't remember if she knew about the shoes or not. But what I can tell you is that she could be immature about things like this. But I was like, f-it, im gonna do it. We went and walked to the place - no comment. Sat down - no comment. Had my foot up on the chair for a bit - no comment. Went to the washroom - no comment. Finally, after like a hour, my foot was back up on the chair and she subtle said "oh your shoes are pretty. r they comfy?". and i said ya and where i got them and that it was hard to find my sizes. and she was just like "well they look good". Like no reaction! So, to close, I know it was a long post, btu it was a great experience and positive!

  4. You should of jabbed him with your stiletto...haha Good stuff man, way to stand your ground! I've had a similar experience where someone out of the crowd tries to me a macho guy and point out that I'm wearing shoes or whatever. Every single time it just turns into everyone else going "sweet shoes" and they go on with their business.

  5. I think my shoe preference has mirrored what was the trends at the time. When I started about 5 years ago, the styles were more chunky and blocky. Now, it's more slimmer and streamlined. You could also say that this is a true sequence for first time heelers, where they try to get more "masculine" looking shoes.

  6. Great shoes! A friend of mine had a similar pair on last night for new years in black suede. I've thought about buying something similar for myself for outside. Also, I find The Shoe Company hit or miss sometimes (just like Payless). But, they are easier on the wallet and sometimes have extended sizes.

  7. I found a couple of fun pics.

First: "Kate Beckinsale’s husband, director Len Wiseman was spotted over the weekend sporting toe nail polish. What do you think? A bit much? Or does it work?"

Second: "Tori Picks Her Ass, While Dean Paints His Toe Nails In Vamp - As the happy couple emerged from the LA salon, Dean was sporting freshly pedicured and painted toenails "

  8. You know, I tried on shoes with a bow like that - pumps and flats - and you really doesn't make it all that more girly. I think it adds an extra flare! Same goes with a mary jane strap - you're still a dude in heels so who cares - Go for it!
