Those of us who are married or have significant others have all struggled with this at varying times. It's obvious from the experiences here that honesty is the best policy but not always the easiest. My wife kind of goes back and forth between trying to ignore it and hope it goes away to moderate encouragement. (The later in the bedroom). She's asked from time to time about me buying her shoes that I like for her use around the house but after the initial use doesn't show much interest whereas I can't get enough of them. First time out last week. Actually, stopped at a roadside rest area the week before and tried out a very low pair of dark pumps but with a suit on they were hardly noticeable. Walked up and down the sidewalk without any incident. Then a few days later a shopping mall parking lot in 5 inch red patent pumps with jeans that barely reached the top of the shoe so they were quite obvious. What a rush. Walked from the car to one of the stores but didn't have the balls to go in. No problems and nearly collapsed back at the car with excitement. wine and dine

First time post so please excuse any obvious blunders. This topic was so long I read as much as I could but not everything. It seemed the one common thread among all of the well thought out comments is that there is no "one size fits all" answer to this. And maybe that is the way it should be and the reason we share our own personal experiences here, because while all of our situations are different, they all share certain commonalities. Wine and dine
