I remember seeing Level 42 on a kid's program where they picked up toy instruments and started to play their latest hit. Man, those guys can play! Especially Mark King who has been an Icon of mine ever since that day.

Not so much. I'm already rocking my 6" wooden slides with a safari dress!

There are scenarios in the old testament where it is actually called for to stone people to death, in the case of adultery for example. But that is off topic. It is also off topic to quote the bible at all, especially the old testament as it is not relevant to modern life, culture nor society. The content of the OT is only to support the new. As the saying goes: "Within the Old is the New concealed and within the New is the Old revealed". Now, can we please get this thread back on topic?

I don't think we have ever had a member from Guyana before. Welcome.

Actually, I don't even think it's that. It's just that the UK and the American music industry is just so much better developed. They can turn out any old trash and it will sell millions of copies, just through clever marketing. Decent music rarely gets a look in, and it never has.

You should be banned for that one Bubba!

You can't learn skills from a book...
You would do worse than to read my "How To Make Shoes" posts.

Can you imagine some redneck working as a mechanic in a small town in the Ozarks dressing like that? No, me neither.

Generally speaking, us Brits don't take the Eurovision at all seriously. This is because we have a very strong musical culture. In any country in Europe you will find that at least half of the songs in the charts are recorded in English even if they aren't British bands. Most European teenagers will have at least one album of a British band whereas it would be very rare to find anyone living outside of Latvia say, who will have an album from a Latvian group. Our entry is Englebert Humperdink!

Yes they did. I actually quite liked Ray, I think he lightened up a bit once his divorce was finalised but Sam and Jackie told me that he was a right miserable git the previous year...

Ah yes. You would have had the Blow sisters on your course then? They were my flatmates. I started on the National Diploma course but then Elaine said that she thought I was wasted on that course so Angela let me start the HND the following year...

I can't find an online shop...

You must have been there when I was, which course were you on?

For compatibility and long term happiness that is not the onlyest issue to consider. Fortunately there are girls that have appreciation for good looks and fortunately I am attempting to hang with a girl that does. However there was a girl that I lost out on that had another quality and that was excitability. One day at church I was telling her about an experiment where I needed some hydrogen for a thermionic ion thing so I just said I will take some stove gas and separate and loose the carbon. Then when I told her I found little yellow spots in the getter she grabbed my arm and said with excitement that's right they put methylmercaptain in the gas. So anyway if the girl does not tolerate HH that is not the end of the world, only the next to worse thing.
Eh?

As usual, no bigger than a 40!

Yeah, and Pete and Sheila. I was there from 94 to 97... The Student Society President.

It's getting a bit boring now. Kylie did it about ten years ago...

Woooh! You had David too?

It reminds me of the woman who complained to her neighbouring farmer because his sheep kept bleating at night. What did she expect when buying a house in the country?

I never even knew that Seaford had a museum! The times I drove through it (without stopping)... Mind you, I did once see a man in heels there ironically. I was going to be in Eastbourne this weekend but had to cancel unfortunately... or should I say fortunately?

Indeed. The only difference between ladies' sizes and men's sizes in the UK is width. Women tend to have narrower feet. I take a men's 9 but find that some 8s fit ok but most are too small. If you take a men's 8 then you should be able to get into a ladies' 8 unless you have a wide foot or the shoe is particularly narrow.

In actual fact, what I meant was that there is no reason at all why you couldn't organise meets in addition to the ones organised by Iloveboots.

I don't! BTW, you're banned for even bringing the subject up and as for you Shafted, you should know better!
How old are ballet heels

Is she screaming in agony there? The oldest reference I know of of 8" heels was made in a journal from the 1890s. Of course the Victorians invented fetish so I wouldn't be surprised. Moreover, John Lobb and Sons had a pair of 18th century 5" thigh boots in their window for many, many years.
